Blessings Jon and Paul! (I'm sure there is a joke there somewhere...) This is stellar!
Hi Divining Dragon good to see you mate. You will have to come on one of our reviews. 🙂👍
OK so I’m starting my marathon a bit early- why not? 😊
First episode the Doctor says that he and Susan are exiled from their home planet but hope to return someday. Doesn’t gel with the long standing tradition that he borrowed the TARDIS and ran away. Perhaps he lied to Susan about why they left Gallifrey - it would fit with his character in these early episodes. 🧐
Hi Warren yes agree they did adapt this as they went along but it certainly wouldn’t be out of character for the first Doctor to lie to Susan but maybe they just didn’t want Ian and Barbara to know the full facts. 🙂👍
Just found you guys and subscribed - I'm going to start another run through classic who starting either in the new year or on the anniversary - so I'll definitely be checking in with you after each story. Treated myself to a big screen tv when I retired so looking forward to seeing them on it.
Just now making my way for the second time through NuWho and its ok and some episodes are lots of fun, but it still doesn't hold a candle to the classics for me.
Hi Warren
Great to hear from you and thanks for subscribing. I enjoy New Who up until the Jodie Whitaker era onwards and enjoy it but as you say it doesn’t hold a candle to the classics.
I setup the channel because I wanted to get back to talking about the pure joy of this fantastic show so it’s great to have you on the journey with us. We are putting episode reviews up every Monday evening at 6pm and the next one is The Reign of Terror. Let us know your thoughts. 🙂

This should take you there. Otherwise type BOOMER DOUG......NOT Boomer DOG....which I just found out also exists.🫣 I've had some crazy views on a couple of videos. I have no idea what I'm doing, but loving people sharing childhood memories of classic shows they love
Oh! I found it today! I'm going to be following this! Classic Who!!!
@@diviningdragonwelcome aboard DD. These are nice chats by two knowledgeable guys clearly enjoying themselves. Gary AKA Retro Doc joins the team in future episodes. Well worth your time 👍
Happy new channel!
Thanks very much mate. To the journey! 😂
Who is providing the artwork for your thumbnails? They are fantastic ;)
It’s a fantastic artist called Daryl Joyce. If you go on X you can find him and he puts up daily images. It’s a privilege that he is happy for us to use them on the show. 🙂👍
@warrengilson1835 Daryl also has a book out showing his Doctor Who artwork and has a calendar coming out that is now available for pre-order. 🙂
Found it on my laptop, still looking on television
Thanks for your support mate 🙂👍
