I have a 2024 on order (due in September) with all the packs. I test drove the 2023 and it was incredible so I'm really excited. I can't wait so I'll have to live vicariously through you for now!

I hope it comes ahead of schedule! In the meantime, I do have a few more EVs on my schedule.

Thank you for the review. I have this 2023 Polestar 2. My absolutely FAVORITE EV! Great styling, fast, and fun to drive. Totally love it.

For prospective buyers…all i can say is: Take a look, test drive, sit in it a while and see if you love it? I did, and so did more than 100,000 P2 buyers, to date. But if you are looking for a commodity car, like a Toyota or Tesla, then suggest you get one of those cars. Polestar is different. It’s unique and not meant for everyone.

Great review video Robin. Thank you! I have the Polestar 2 BST edition 270 with the Battleship Gray vinyl wrap, and I absolutely love driving it. Sure, it has its shortcomings compared to some of the competition, but I didn't feel the same excitement, thrill, and exclusivity in other EV's as I feel when driving the P*2. Being an Android fan, the Google Android Automotive OS is a big bonus. Also, the build quality is excellent and solid, no misaligned panels, rattles, or squeaks. Having the longest range, fastest acceleration, quickest charging time are great and all, but at the end of the day, the P*2 is what makes me happy when I drive, and sometimes that is all I need to appreciate the everyday life.

After owning an EV for a few years I've become a bit of a instant torque and power junkie. Now I'm looking for the next EV and what I look for in each and every review is the reactions from the OP on the 0-60 tests. This one (20:15) may be the best yet, and is why I will most likely be purchasing a lightly used PS2 AWD Performance next year!

Good video, thanks! Having the Performance Pack is not necessary to get the OTA performance upgrade; any dual motor P2 can get it.

Thank you! And that good to know, I understood it as Perf. Pack only, so appreciate it.

Thanks for the review Robin. Have a PS2 on the way w/ all the options incl leather. Any thoughts on this vs the GV60 in terms of performance, premium feel etc.?

Fantastic, I hope it arrives soon. The GV60 is quite impressive, I must say. It includes a boost button to give 10 seconds of 483 horsepower to go along with 516 lb.-ft of torque. Mega quick. And the fit and finish of it is exquisite, really. I think its weakness is exterior styling, if I'm honest. It's also more expensive. But inside and features and speed? All aces. I did review that car as well, if you're curious: th-cam.com/video/b_1cT3Y58po/w-d-xo.html

Still way too expensive compared to a model 3. You need to add at a minimum the pilot and plus pack to the cost to come close to the same spec as even the base model 3. In Australia Polestar are asking $93k for a 2022 built dual motor long range, with pilot lite and plus pack which has a similar feature spec to the Model 3 long range dual motor with wheel upgrade except that it's slower and has less range, nowhere near the same access to charger stations and they want $14k+ more than the sub $79k Tesla is asking for long range with the performance wheels - no wonder they won't open up the system to orders for 2024 vehicles - even with $5000 in rebates and charger incentives they can't move 2022/23 stock.

With all due respect, Tesla Model 3 gets compared to the PS2 often, but really isn’t in the same class of vehicle. One is luxury (or at least premium bordering on luxury), and the other (Tesla) is for more of an economy car. What you pay for in the PS2 is the premium feel which the M3 doesn’t have. This is the reason a base Taycan is more than a base Model S, even though on paper the Model S wins.
And much is made about charging stations, but given that fast charging degrades the battery, the only time realistically most people will charge is at home, aside from an occasional road trip.

@@jayem8981 WOW - talk about completely delusional - there is no way a PS2 is more of a premium vehicle than a model 3 - I have driven both for a while - apart from looking like something vaguely familiar in the Volvo range (which is comforting to some) underneath the facade is a distinctly mid-range vehicle at best. And I am not anti Geely /Volvo / Polestar I own a XC60 T8 Recharge but to suggest there is a difference in premium PS2 v budget M3 is complete nonsense.

@@TB-up4xi Lmao, you sound uninformed. I have Napa leather in my PS2 - they offer that in a M3? Almost literally every reviewer comments on the more premium feel of the PS2 relative to the M3. Almost every owner will tell you about the rattles, panel gaps etc. I drove the Tesla MY before I arrived at purchasing a PS2. Keep in mind my other car is a BMW X5 with all the options, so I know what a premium vehicle looks and feels like. Seems you are the delusional one. The M3 doesn’t even have a gauge cluster lmao. Name ONE other premium vehicle that can say the same.
