    Ash - father of the modern mech wargaming. You give second life to our dust-covered little bettletech etc. robots. Thank you, good sir.

      Why are your Battletech mechs dust covered? That game is probably as popular as ever.

      @@ohthreefiftyone When I started my wargaming journey, it was a time of a, in my opininon, a downward transition - the soon ending of 4th ed of 40k, it was already too late for Warzone, Battletech had it's qiet days, at leastnin my parts. And a kid wants to have somepne to play the game with. So Battletech wasn't the go-to system. Now, people I row up in the hobby are notninterested in CBT, 'cause it's too slow and complicated. Tried to get me into BTAS " 'cause it's robots-40k!", and the reality verified them. :p I wanted to play Gamma Wolves (postapo+mechs pls!), but yeah... Like you get the idea! Enough of the rant! I'm going on the advertisment crusade of Steel Rift (and GW it's bloody awesome!) around my gaming community.

    good luck with this. watched your play thru skirmish vid. some interesting concepts, getting turned by impacted shots, but some things weren't clear. damage scale? effects of damage to components? pilots ability? lots of questions!
    IMO - you've taken GW vehicle combat, modified the damage to wound characteristics. added a flex dice pool. removed any of the Battletech finer details and not given it any rpg options as in Robotech, heavy gear or BESM.
    good effort, but could use alot of play testing.

    What are your thoughts on making a video about writing and producing one’s own ruleset? IE not just theorycrafting and testing, but also exploring finding a publisher, sourcing artists and editors, tips for formatting, etc

    • @GuerrillaMiniatureGames
      @GuerrillaMiniatureGames  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There’s so many ways to accomplish all those things, and it’s always changing. It’s more like the topic of a book!

    This looks great Ash! I have always loved huge stompy robots as a flavor, but I struggle with the amount of detail and book keeping that systems like Battletech ask for. This seems like a nice stream lined version to get things moving on the tabletop quickly.
    Question though, is there any option to buy STL files so we can print and convert our own mechs at home? Or is it purely a physical sale?

    • @GuerrillaMiniatureGames
      @GuerrillaMiniatureGames  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s up to DRD but the kits come with a bajillion arm selections if you wanted to magnetize them.

    Looks awesome dude congrats!
    You mentioned RTS games of old; at this scale do you think it'd be possible to scale up the game or have a future ruleset that supports a game size that would capture the scale of something like "Supreme Commander"? I was just talking to some friends who really like 6-10mm games and we were nerding out over the idea.

    • @GuerrillaMiniatureGames

      Sure! You can use any models you want! It will definitely play faster and require less gizmos to track things.

  • @ferkinason

    Sounds great!
    I am a big fan of small scale games and always searching for new games with interesting designs.
    With the introduction of smaller stuff like soldiers, tanks and so on, will there be rules for enhancing the gaming table to fight bigger games?
    Or as a more generalized question: Will the game be easy scalable upwards for people (like me) that want huge armies?
    I start to have fun with small scale games with 200+ models on the table. ;-)
