One of the great things about this game is how radically different it feels to other games. Because shooting is so lethal, you really have to change how you play the game...your armor won't save you. So the game feels very intense. Plus, because of how quickly the games go, losing doesn't feel that bad.
@@ChocoCyberHeart because with this, unless the other player has a model that's got a ready token, you will be able to attack and then be in full cover rather than partial cover if you were at the corner and "physically" leaning out.
@@aaronhelm5800 thanks! It’s really easy. Get 3 super cheap grey paints. The 0.99 apple barn stuff. Start from Black, Darkest Grey, middle grey (lighter drybrush) to lightest gray. Then just a red/brown for some rust here and there and finish with a drybrush of silver. Super fast and easy!
Im also a dad and as you said time is really valuable either with the kids or for myself so seeing a game that i know they will enjoy that isnt going to cost me an arm ana a leg but which is also quick to play when i have a few precious hours with them...
Another great vid as a better substitute for a new game's quickstart rules Well made, simply presented without gimmicks which I like Well considered, mindful gaming channel and you need more games vids in this series Have you had a lookout at Fallout Wasteland warfare? Rules read dreadfully - you get a terrible impression of a fussy game and it actually plays really smoothly and well with real character to the weapon choices from those silly dice. Better than that is the ai system for solo and co-op games, seems pretty ubiquitous but until someone writes a complex and nuanced phone/tablet app to run ai well this card and dice based system is the best I've used in any TTG. My 15yr old is console generation, raised on savegames he's never learned to enjoy a game he actually loses and it blights our fun unless dad cunningly throws the game. Co-op is the answer but enemies are tedious except with decent AI direction and this game works well You can pick up the base game very cheaply ($60ish) and the plastic models folks disparage are fine and only suffer by comparison with their really nice resin substitutes - well worth painting anyway. Off to your back catalogue
@@philgee486 thanks! We will definitely invest and play more BLKOUT. Regarding Fallout, I’m very interested. I have a few things to paint before I can buy it but it definitely looks interesting from what I’ve seen from 2+ Tough. Thanks for watching and for the comment!
I used a mat from game mat.eu that was folded into a 2x2. Here’s a link. www.gamemat.eu/en/battle-mats/6-x4-battle-mats/6-x4-g-mat-quarantine-zone.html

Idk the game doesn't really look anything special to me. Playing it in person is probably a different experience. I only ply war games on TTS. It looks simple and that is good.
I've dropped all other games and replaced them with BLKOUT. Pumped to see more TH-camrs discovering BLKOUT.
Who's the "We Buy Limbs" terrain by? That's brilliant.
That’s a piece from Saucermen Studios. Flat Line City. It’s pretty good 🤣
Love that the game's rules are simple and easy to understand. Rules are not overly written. Awesome to see the amount of details on the miniatures.
The miniatures look great. They are actually carrying a ton of gear which makes it feel real.
Love this, please cover more ESS games including INX
Great setup with our terrain :)
BLKOUT looks really interesting, thanks for putting on our radar!
Cheers, guys! Had a few people ask about the terrain. 🙂
Seriously, your flatline city looks fantastic!
I'm right there with you in preferring quick play skirmish game these days.
Good tutorial. This game has my interest.
Great overview!
You forgot the cult on discord dedicated to destroying the space elevator... But I forgive you.
Down with the space elevator ✊
lol!
What's wrong with the space elevator??@@tdnavy1066
whats wrong with it?
What a timely video. I've been looking at this game for about a month now. Going to get a demo in this week, looks very interesting.
Looks like a cool game, really love your how to play videos!
Thanks! I really enjoy making them. Might have to do another soon 🤣
Really nice job as always!

If you run UN Raid Force with Golems, you quickly learn that armour *can* save you, but only if you sell your sell to the feds.
Thanks for covering this, I'll hand to check it out!
Cool system, thanks for the tutorial
That “lean out” mechanic is pretty interesting.
How does this differ to just moving your mini to the corner, physically leaning out? Either way you're still in cover..(?)

@@RSpracticalshooting OK, interesting. Thanks.
Im very new to gaming in general, Killwager was my first, then BLKout came along.....and took over my world!
Awesome! I’m excited to show off some on the channel.
Cool tutorial. 👍
Great stuff. I like the terrain that's in your video, any chance you can share where it's from? Thank you!
Of corse! Saucermen Studios Flat Line City
Woooow love it, got some titanfall 2 vibes and veteran owned 🤙🏻
Yeah I hear that a lot! Never got into TF personally.
Awesome video well delivered. Thank you
Wish these would come to retail soon, I don't like packages being delivered to my place.

Very much like infinity but seems significantly rules lite in comparison.

I really dig that terrain. Who makes it?
Saucermen studios. The Flat Line City range
Let's say I'm looking for a quick wargame like this, but have so many minis, can this be played with it own minis or tokens?
Nothing ever stopping you from doing that when the rules are free. 👍
@@MiniatureGameMontage respect that. Feels like blasphemy, though. Either way, love seeing more support for quicker playing games. Great job folks.
@@tjans1979 It's always good to support smaller creators. Thanks for watching!
Game is on 25mm bases at a 32mm scale, so smaller Warhammer models and especially Infinity minis make fantastic proxies.
Amusingly, the individual cost of a Manticore Trooper mini is $6.66
The "Dusters" are waaay overpriced.
