Great video. My wife and I are in the overland lifestyle as well. We live in Nevada and we take our two Boston Terriers in our ‘21 Land Cruiser with its rooftop tent. We don’t have the amount of space your RR has but we manage. Great workmanship and carpentry skills. Can’t wait to see the final product.
Thank you so much. That’s awesome! We are very pleased the camper is now completed and in a months time we’ll be picking up our Landy in Durban, Cape Town!!
Hello you two. Discovered your channel a few weeks ago.. hooked on your land rover refit. You two work well together, great team work. Looking forward to the next instalment. Keep up the great work and all the best 👍
Hey Gary, we really appreciate your comment, thank you! Working on this project together has definitely been testing at times but it's all going well and we are well on our way to the camper being completed.☺
I just came across your channel. Obviously you've done it now but it's not a bad idea to allow access to the rear light wiring on top of the arches. If you ever need to get in there you'll have to remove everything. Also, I used that spray adhesive for carpet but if you're going anywhere hot, it can't handle it and fails. F44 flooring adhesive is good if it starts to come off in the future. I speak from experience 😉
Hey Vic, we did go back and forth on this and decided to cover this area in the carpet, we may end up regretting this! Thank you for your advice! We really appreciate it!☺
We'll be sure to do more of that in our future videos. There's always a fine line between under and over explaining things, I guess we are still trying to find a middle ground in our videos. We removed the fuel tank in the previous video because when lifting the floor we noticed a couple of things that needed fixing. It did actually turn out to make the job a lot easier with the tank being out! Thank you for your comment ☺
We used this insulation www.camperedup.co.uk/insulation we did run out so I just ordered similar on amazon. Thanks so much! Are you working on a build yourself? Chloe ☺
Thank you Gary! The thick black insulation was actually given to us by a friend, so I'm not sure exactly where it's from or the spec. The silver insulation is from this place - www.camperedup.co.uk/insulation
Cool! Thanks for sharing! Arent you worried that all that lumber will cost a fortune to haul around compared to building the same setup but using for example aluminium and plastic?
Hey john please excuse my apologies for the late response! This whole build was done (timber) wise. Using 12+9mm ply. I think we only actually used 2.5 sheets of ply. That’s 1.2x2.4m so the weight is really as low as it could be using any materials! Cheers! Harry
Hey Colin how’s it going? We used a mixture of 12 and 9mm. We used 9 on areas that were fixed down to wheel arches and floor etc to try to save some weight. The main cabinetry was built using 12mm ply
Wow it’s looking brilliant can’t wait to see when it’s finished
Sorry for late response! We’re glad you like it 😀
Well done. Keep it up!
Thank you! Sorry for our late response!

@@daisy180709 No way!! That's so awesome!🙌
Could you tell me what thickness of ply you used to create your cabinets and seating please ?
Hey Colin how’s it going?
We used a mixture of 12 and 9mm.
We used 9 on areas that were fixed down to wheel arches and floor etc to try to save some weight. The main cabinetry was built using 12mm ply
How thick are those plywood?
The ply we used for our cabinets is 12mm and the ply we used for our base is 9mm.
@@TheLandyExpedition Thank you for sharing. Your build inspired me to follow similar design for my defender.
@@ianchewyy epic! Good luck with it 😀
