Another thing I love about the DLC is that it recontextualizes our fight with Sif. Before the DLC he was trying to stop people from disrupting his master's grave. With DLC context we know that Sif recognized us as another person who saved him that was trying to venture into the Abyss. Even after recognizing us he picked up his sword to protect us from meeting the same fate as Artorias met in the corruption of the Abyss. With DLC context, Sif isn't fighting to kill us, he's fighting to save us.

Well said! He's a good doggo, through and through. Whether it's helping us fight Manus or trying to stop us from venturing into the abyss, he really is always looking out for us. Top tier FromSoft character for sure!

Ngl remembering that Ciaran’s hornet ring was found behind Artorias’ grave in Darkroot hits different. She stayed with him till the end, just as he protected Sif to the end.

Oh yeah, that hits really hard. The comparison between him protecting Sif to the end and her staying with him to the end is great! Nice catch!

Artorias truly represents what souls is about, a beautiful thing that was broken before we arrived and now its our duty to put it out of its misery

Come to think of it, if we did fight Knight Artorias at full strength with his shield and sif bu his side, we’d all be fucked to point people would have to cheese him similar to the Consort Radahn fight in the Elden ring dlc

I genuinely don't understand bloodborne. I started with elden ring and played the entire souls series, plus sekiro, which I all adored. Last month, I purchased a PS4 and was so excited and eager to play this game after such rave reviews. It's hands down the most disappointing and underwhelming game out of all of them. I'm genuinely baffled.
There's a huge lack of weapons, armor, and items. Oh cool... I can use this item to lure in a beast...or, I could just kill it in five seconds. The game runs choppy and it's distracting. I've heard people say "the weapons are quality and not quantity", which is stupid because I don't care if they can transform. I only use one function 100% of the time anyways. I don't use a gun either. More than anything, I hate having to return to the Hunter's dream whenever I want to fast travel and I absolutely despise using blood vials.
I also absolutely destroy every boss like they're absolutely nothing. Every FROMSOFTWARE game has been a HUGE challenge for me that has questioned my mental health, but Bloodborne has been a total cake walk. I don't get the hype. Is it nostalgia? I mean no disrespect, it's just not for me and I find it way too...forgettable.
