I would love to spend 8 weeks onboard doing all the woodwork and outside paint. Some good cleaning and it would look as new.
I like that Cabo to Alaska on one tank. Little range monster.
Love the looks it is a masculine vessel that could take on any storm & come back for more.

Gosh, I love this vessel.
She's a bit of a fixed upper on the cosmetic side, but I really like that. It's a lot of boat for the money too and would have a cool live aboard. Only thing that makes me uneasy is the single engine. A little emergency wing engine (a lá Nordhavn) would be a winner on this one.
Cummins will get you home, lots of fishing boats use a KTA 19 one only, same vintage,
@@carlthor91 Agreed, Sir. Keep her maintained and load up on spare parts. She will never let you down. That wing engine on the Norhavn is a false promise. That little Yanmar and tiny folding prop will never keep those boats off a lee shore when it's blowing 40...or 30...or 20.

@@landryl2006 I really haven't thought it over, My son still has a couple of years left in high school, and I don't want to change his school system.But yeah,it"s actually 4.1 acres with a year round creek in the back yard. It has a 25X40 barn that I am in process of rehabbing now. The house was built in the early 60's with a large stone Fireplace with new wood burning insert, #bed's, 2Full bath. COUNTRY LIVING!!!!

Can someone explain the purpose for the "air clutch in the main"? How is it used?
It is a pneumatic clutch that engages tge hydraulic systems

Bridge is nicest part of the boat. This boat is not laid out varry good id never sleep with that engin going in master
bridge is great agree. There are two watertight doors and one vestibule area between the engine room and the master berth... She was custom built to satisfy her owner... Must be quite a thing to build your dream.
I never could sleep after a spell at Sea at home, too quiet.

More for commercial purposes, I think. Good for marine biology research. And people who are not into creature comforts.
Agree, there is a lot of potential here...
"Good for marine biology research" Not really. No lab space, no ability to stern tow, no hydraulic winches for putting gear over the side, no crane. Spoken as an ex-deckhand on oceanographic vessels. That said, a great cruising vessel for someone who wants to take on the cost of the refit. I like her a lot...a proper ship.

It may be a working vessel but cleanliness is next to godliness and more so in a working vessel it could be kept clean. Everything is so grubby which smacks of lack of care and that would raise a huge red flag to me, as a potential buyer.
