Price a bit hefty concidering all the refit that needs to be done. But otherwise a beautiful boat. And appears to be in good condition given the hours/usage. And used prices have jumped dramatically this year.
Wayne: The market is different now, there are more buyers than boats and the sellers have come up with an asking price number that they are comfortable with (they have been approached before, but were never ready to sell). Time and the market will show what is fair. You could hop aboard and take off right now, or you could wait and upgrade everything. Jeff: The 47 and slip are both for sale, but separately. Please email me directly Jeff@JMYS.com if you are interested in details about the price and location of slip. The price for SEABIRD is posted on JMYS.com.
Thanks for presentation but it seems before owning this beauty i think need to get very serious training for running the boat successfully and learning all mechanic systems since the electrical side is a bit complicated 😂
Osmos: You will need some training and experience to get insurance. With limited knowledge of systems, rules of road, weather, diesel engines, etc. you are a larger risk. There are captain’s classes, and training captains who can help you learn. Many learn by doing!
Tony: Asking price is a starting point for seller and buyers. In this economy and for this model, there are no other alternatives available. Time will tell if the price is high (funny, how they are never too low), and you could spend a fortune upgrading and waiting at the dock (on this or almost any boat) or hop aboard and go for a long run on SEABIRD. It all depends upon your experience and familiarity. Surveyors always find things the owners overlooked. I have never seen a "turn key boat" that didn't need something and there is no such thing as "flawless" as so often claimed. If you are interested I welcome your visit.

@@woody1851 Woody: All right, congratulations! You are in for the time of your life. Thanks for your note and please get in touch by email - my address is Jeff@JMYS.com
Allen: Good point, but the reality is these Lugger engines are continuous duty rated and will last 30,000 hours before a major overhaul if you look after them. For comparison sake, this is about 525 hours running a year, under 22 days and in my experience an active boat is usually more reliable than one that sits around as a marina queen. The single engine owners typically take great care since they do have on primary and many of the Nordhavns are equipped with a wing engine for back up propulsion. Thanks for you note!

Nice but for ocean crossing I'd say the captain would like to see 10 extra feet aft .if I were the captain I know I'd like to see the extra length..it's just a little stubby to me that's all...
Frank : The beauty is you can always spend more and go bigger, but you really don’t need to. All you really need is aboard this 47 foot package. They build a longer version, the 52 - same hull mold and the extra length is in the aft deck (cockpit)
Donald: This is an owner -operator trawler. There are two staterooms and a watch berth in the Pilothouse. The owner is the captain on this and every other Nordhavn 47 I can think of.
They crossed the Atlantic on 1400 Gallons of fuel? That's impressive. The Lugger on SEABIRD must be a fantastic fuel sipping dream. 5 knots gets it done it seems.
Nice boat but need allot of small touches here and there, for that price I would assume the owner took notice .. It will require at least 30K+ to get it in good shape with the right people .. Expect delay on selling ..
NR: Under contract and buyers are realistic about what they need to do to make it theirs if we do complete the deal. In this market not too many delays…
Raider X: If you are a buyer, I think you need to look at model year, engine hours, asking price and then balance that with equipment, condition, location and number of boats that you are interested that are appealing. We have had a lot of interest in SEABIRD, and only one person is going to be able to sail away on her.
It is build to ocean travel specifications and I think that by it self is worth alot. A 2000 grand banks 42 will set you back 350k and this is larger, newer, and is safer for ocean travel
@@thenormalplatypus3514 Hi Victor, thanks for weighing in. There are different boats for different purposes and if you want to cross oceans there are not many choices. The Nordhavn 47 is an excellent trawler, you can buy one for less (if you can find one) but you will always be adding upgrades and the end price will be a lot more than the price you agree to to put her under contract.
John: Please email me directly, Jeff@JMYS.com to discuss Lugger engine hours. I think you must be thinking of some other engine. Thanks for your comment, but this engine is just broken in, not in need of an overhaul.
Jesus that leather on the rear lounge and behind the wheelhouse is either very very dirty or just plain worn out...im thinking more worn out. Needs completely reupholstered
Peter: It's been well used and is clean, but tired. The new owner can select whatever type of upholstery and select the color of their choice. If that is your only objection I'd figure out a way to bridge that gap! Thanks for watching.
For a boat like this, reupholstering isn't much money or work. It's typical for a Nordhavn to have some spots like seats be worn out as they are hard so often and aren't just dock queens
TrailerPark: Good one, not a problem, there are plenty of great yacht brokers out there who don't know about Reyn Spooner. I, for one, will wear nothing but Reyn, they are the best! Cheers, Jeff
Andrew: My favorite brand, Reyn Spooner and very affordable, comfortable and practical. If you watch my videos, you will see all of my favorites, but the star of the show is always the boat.
Really dislike the inefficient and wasteful design. You have a small almost comical wheelhouse and a huge empty foredeck. I prefer something like the outer reef.
Terry: OuterReef builds a great boat, there is something for everyone. Nordhavn has built over 50 of the 47's so they have found people who like what they offer.
I like the boat, but looking at it it is clearly a 13 year old boat that has seen some use. I think it is priced the way it is because of the market not because it's actually worth it. It's a Shame really. P.S. That shirt really is a crime against humanity.
Phil: You are full of compliments today. The seller sets the price and the market responds. Sorry that we don't share the same fashion sense, I think you are missing out.
@@JeffMerrillYachts Listen ye not to the sayers of "Nay", for thy shirt doth please the masses greatly, and the price of the Nordhavn fair and just in our eyes, for quality and reliability possess great value. Jeff: The 47 and slip are both for sale, but separately. Please email me directly Jeff@JMYS.com if you are interested in details about the price and location of slip. The price for SEABIRD is posted on JMYS.com.
Subscribed.
Todd: Thank you!
850k ? Hope the owners are ready to drop the price for the upgrades she needs
And the cleaning.
@@bravejango12 Brave: They had a cleaning crew come up before the video, we worked with what we had. The CA fires didn't help...
Funny enough it took a while to find the listing price, but I had guessed $800K knowing the pedigree and also factoring the age.
@@Clickumentary Good guess. We don't put the price on the video because over time it could change and we can't re-record. But we do try to provide a very thorough listing write up with photos, etc. Thanks for your note!
I'm looking for #59.....just a great trawler......
Woody: The Nordhavn 47 is a great trawler
@@JeffMerrillYachts Hey Jeff, actually - you're sales videos are the best. It helped me a lot to make a decision now.
The N47#59 is in IT/Bari......the survey is finished...you may have seen her at Nordhavn Europe Brokerage page....
Its the only one on the market (with VAT paid in the EU....).

Great presentation. But 6000 hours on a predominately one engine boat is concerning.
Good video, but I wish there were some specs like speed and mpg. Etc,!,
GrumpyDwarf: Please go to JMYS.com for detailed specifications and general RPM, speed and range numbers.
I lasted 30 seconds then I had to close the video due to the music, it added nothing to the video.
ChunkyMonkey - I like your ice cream flavor at Ben and Jerry's. Sorry you don't like the music, first complaint, everyone has different tastes. We have just uploaded a 360 degree virtual tour on JMYS.com (warning it has music) but maybe you will be able to watch that one?
845,000' if anyone wants to know
Rob: Correct, that is the current price. We reduced the price a few weeks ago. For this reason (potential price changes) we don't publish the price on the video.
How come they never tell you what it costs.....
Peter: Price is always available on our website www.JMYS.com. We don't put the price on the video because it is possible it will change and that would be confusing.
Probably one of those "if you have to ask, you can't afford it" kind of things lol.
@@TheJeep1286 Nope. It's a price can change over time, but we can't update the video so we publish current details on www.JMYS.com as we say at the end of the video. Thank you!
@@TheJeep1286 if I have to ask it's because I want to know the price , no open cheque book here , not stupid
Where would the captain and crew sleep
Donald: This is an owner -operator trawler. There are two staterooms and a watch berth in the Pilothouse. The owner is the captain on this and every other Nordhavn 47 I can think of.
They crossed the Atlantic on 1400 Gallons of fuel? That's impressive. The Lugger on SEABIRD must be a fantastic fuel sipping dream. 5 knots gets it done it seems.
Fred: That was not a non-stop. I'll have to check with the owners, but I believe they went to Bermuda, then the Azores along the way.
@@JeffMerrillYachts I forgot about Bermuda.
I believe you can use supplemental fuel bladders.
@@wayneparke554 Agree, many boats that have the range do “hedge” their comfort for a long trip by adding fuel bladders.
Ellen gift one surprise 😍
John: Thank you.
I wonder what the cost is for this boat
Me too!👍 Just checked...it's 850k us dollars. Not bad! This brand is the real deal! I think it yours for 800k!👍
Terry: Current price is $850,000. We don't put the price in the video in case it changes over time.
@@JeffMerrillYachts Thank you I like that how many hours on the engines and generators
@@JeffMerrillYachts
Very reasonable! A lot of ship for 850.👍

$850,000.00 USD
Tnmyp: Roger!
@Conan Thank you Conan, it's a different market right now and it is getting harder to find a late model Nordhavn 47 with these selections.
nordhavn 47 ( great )
Alok: Thank you
Why is everything Nordhavn yacht pitches when when it cruises?
Waleed: All boats pitch. The stabilizers will reduce side to side rolling, but the up and down is just as much a factor of sea conditions and speed.
@@JeffMerrillYachts thanks Jeff
I love watching your videos, very informative..
@@waleedbangash4859 Thank you, more videos in the works.
$850k for 2007, Mmmm, no quite. Certainly on the high side.
Yes but now that Mr Trump has COVID it’s likely the prices will come down.
Do you drive or pilot a boat?
Simon: Technically you pilot, but drive is used interchangeably by many mariners.
As soon as you purchas this motor yacht, she will be high and dry. Engine overhaul 6000hr rebuild it
John: Please email me directly, Jeff@JMYS.com to discuss Lugger engine hours. I think you must be thinking of some other engine. Thanks for your comment, but this engine is just broken in, not in need of an overhaul.
Lugger and John Deere Diesels in trawlers can go to the 20k hour mark before an overhaul and I would not be surprised if some went longer.
@@1202burton You are correct!
Jesus that leather on the rear lounge and behind the wheelhouse is either very very dirty or just plain worn out...im thinking more worn out. Needs completely reupholstered
Beautiful boat. But I agree, most of the leather upholstery seems shot.
Lovey boat but I would never buy from a salesman wearing a shirt like that.
TrailerPark: Good one, not a problem, there are plenty of great yacht brokers out there who don't know about Reyn Spooner. I, for one, will wear nothing but Reyn, they are the best! Cheers, Jeff
@@JeffMerrillYachts Good middle finger :)
Not the most complete tour.
Mark: What did I miss?
Oh my God! this shirt must be very expensive to be worth wearing 🤔🙄
Andrew: My favorite brand, Reyn Spooner and very affordable, comfortable and practical. If you watch my videos, you will see all of my favorites, but the star of the show is always the boat.
I wish I had free $850 000.
Misha: It's only money...!
And with that silliness out of my system...Jeff, you're a class act for taking the unjustified negative comments with such grace and dignity. LOVE your videos, and I really hope that someday I'll have the means to be another of your very satisfied customers. Keep up the good work...and keep the fashion sense just as it is, brother!! 😁😁😁
Forget Nordhavn. Poor design. Ugly.
Get a Kadey-Krogen instead.
Harrison, surprised you would say that. I think both companies build a great boat and have different attractions. How have you been?
@Medical Cannabis They are two great brands, some unique advantages to each. Important to do your homework before you write a check. I'm not biased at all, I am impressed with both builders. Thanks for your note!
I own a Krogen 39 and I’m seriously considering g selling and moving to something like the boat in this video, yes Krogen seem to be more classically styled , Nordhaven in my opinion have more modern styling elements, neither is bad, it’s different strokes for different folks.
With an 8 yo and another daughter on the way I really need a 2 cabin layout. The Krogen 39 while a great boat, it’s a bit small for a family of 4
@@geoffreytofte4049 Thanks for your note, yes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and the ocean doesn't care what type of hull form is crossing.
