What a great timeless design…

in autumn 2022 the boy and I traveled to Normandy and visited all of the significant landing sites between the Pegasus Bridge and the Mulberry Harbour at Arromanches. We stopped to pay tribute to our late friend Norm Kirby, who Landed that morning with the North Shores, age 19. This short video is of the British Normandy Memorial. 1500 Horsepower and 85000 LBS of Tolly. Boy does a great job of letting the boat find her way into the shed. Engine controls and hydraulic thruster have a bit of a delay which must be accounted for, and there is a large inflatable just out of frame to starboard hence the angled approach..all in all a great job...
