I thought this was a great idea. no matter what valve I used, they all clogged with dog debris and then water would leak 24/7 until I cleaned the valve once again. I did a few modifications to this though: I used a damper motor off amazon (Honeywell model # RZ3-1M for 65 dollars), a 120v/ to 24vdc transformer ( Veho # MS-75-24 for 33 dollars), and a digital timer (nearpow T329C) for about 20 dollars. I also chose to hook up my dog's bowl to the hose, then instead of putting the hose up into the pvc like here, I attached the hose to the bottom of the pvc with a fitting, and now the pipe is part of the drain instead of just holding the hose. I also put my damper motor inside the garage for weatherproofing, and just have a rod go through a vent, no damage. I put the exact items so anyone wanting to make this could find them easily, I have used these parts and they are easy to use, reliable, and it doesn't take a tech guru. Good luck, I hope this helps!(and thank you to Mr. Wen for posting this idea, it really made things easy for me, thank you sir!) N
I love this idea because my dog gets all her dog food in the bottom like your first video, but instead of having that pipe on the timer, i would of used a pond/swimming pool valve so that the timer thing opened the valve to let the water out then shut it again 👍😏
Where can I buy this Bowl ?
wow

Will you sell one?
Well where do you purchase this?
very cool! does the spring return damper motor have a timer on it? so it just empties like every hour? or how to you set the "emptying frequency"
