- F6f Hellcat is a turn fighting beast against all German planes, who ever said this thing can't dog fight, never used it.
20 mins of fuel
240 kmph climbing speed
use only 3 mins of wep to climb, you only get 13 mins of wep
super charger gear changes at 800 and 4800 meters
and now you are golden to kick ass
People always underestimate the maneuverability of the Hellcat. I think it's because so many shitty players fly the Hellcat that when someone who is actually good flies it, people are caught off guard. They never knew it could perform in the way that it does. But the Hellcat, being a naval fighter, actually has a really huge wingspan which allows it to generate lots of lift. It has a really good instantaneous turn rate which catches the enemy off guard. It also doesn't have a half-bad liftloading so even at low speeds it can maneuver very well for an aircraft of its weight. I just wish more 109 pilots would turnfight with me in a Hellcat. A lot of them are too smart and stick to BnZ/energy fighting :p
out turning G55s in a f6f is awesome, they never expect you to do anything
The F6F had the largest wing area of any single-engine fighter in WW 2, so wing loading was less than many assumed, and while it couldn't stay with a Zero in a pure turn fight, it was pretty agile for its size and weight as a result. A 19:1 kill ratio is hard to argue with, and many of the F6Fs lost in combat were shot down by Japanese antiaircraft fire from ships and ground emplacements.
Makes me thankful that everytime I got an F6F, the other guy either didn't know wtf he was doing, or I managed to get the jump on it and promptly delete the plane from existence

Green's the best WT teacher, unlike most he's a "listen and learn" as well as a "watch and learn" type of guy and excels at both (though his aim is kinda wacc...I think) while most of the pros like you stated in your comment are "watch and learn" types of players. Except for magz, he's like Green except Green is just better in every aspect lol, except for maybe the gameplay, but that's subjective
You can do this pretty well with the F4U-4s against 109s too. The 4B especially at low altitude
Hey Fury, you should try adam514s trick to aiming, you probably already know that he does this actually. I'm not sure if he talked about it in the comments on any of his vids or where I saw it but he never zooms in. It's harder to lead appropriately when zoomed in. Maybe that's just a 151/20 thing because they are slower and need more lead but it's helped me a lot with aiming. Its a really hard habit to break but it's worth it. I actually had to remove the binding for the zoom key to break that habit. I also have seen a lot of Messers stuff too flying the D9, he seems to predict where they are going and keeps his nose way out ahead of them until they pull into his guns, fun stuff to watch, but that has also helped a bit.
Great flying, but yea your aim needs work. Also when your flying in a straight line with the f6f reduce your prop-pitch by 5% for every 50ks above 400 , I've found you can reach a far higher speed this way. Also is there a reason you change to supercharger gear 3 at 4800? from my experience manifold pressure only drops at 5400-5600 range in the f6f. Or am I mistaken. Subscribed :) keep up the good vids
anyone seeing this in the future, he is not entirely mistaken. with WEP it should be at 4800m to 5000m, without WEP it should be at about 5400m. The best part about the hellcat is that you dont need to touch the gear after switching to second if you never move past the 1000-5000m range in my opinion, being a few hundred meters above or below that wont matter if its just short term.

Hey man do you have a video where you go over the WHY's of the manual engine control? Like why 90% prop pitch? Kind of a real dumby and trying to get a better understanding of these things.
Good video! I was told F6F lose tons of energy in vertical maneuver...is it just because German planes are worse in vertical?...G2 is not I guess. Can you do similar move on Russian planes?
The key is for US fighters to gain alot of speed before going into a fight, I also carry minimum fuel as well, which helps and the use of mec helps as well
I agree, the 50 Cal does feel a little nerfed. They’ve been sparking a shit ton in my experience.
it's really hard to fly smooth like this on console. everyone just wants to fight and realistic battles take 20 minutes to get into.
yeah man you just gotta get a PC.... nothing beats it
do this , if u have a mouse and keyboard, hook it up>settings>controls>control setup wizard>mouse and keyboard you can also enable all servers if you want to get into a game under really quickly{ under 1 minute}

Ive also noticed that American 50's close up aint great with high convergence. i use around 600, so if GF is doing the same, hes right up the jacksy of the dudes hes fighting and therefore having the same experience i have with my shooting lol
@@instathrill8845 Try 300, you can still shoot as far out as 600 - 800m but it shreds up close

why do you switch prop pitch to 95% in dog fights
Hi, do you mind making a video on the p47m and what do you think is the best 50 cal belts. I sometimes take tracers and they set people on fire at touch but they tell them you are shooting however stealth rips wings and does not tell them I have no idea what belt to take out ? Would really love your help.

universal, i really feel like they nerfed the stealth again lol, I was using stealth for a bit and than it stopped working for me, so I went back to universal

@@bertanderny this plane can be used like arcade in rb for sustained tight turn aka rudder plus elevator up. If u didn't know. Just found out today.

My question was on the landing flaps of the hellcat, usually when i hit flaps it's combat flaps. I didn't know you could choose the type of flaps to use in combat
ahh yes its in the Manual Engine Control section, Go to Mechanization on it you will see
Toggle Flaps:
flaps down:X
Flaps up:X
toggle Air break:
Toggle gear:
Where i have marked X thats where you can bind the mouse button, and when you do, you can choose the flaps while in combat
