MIKE YOU FORGOT THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE! In 1988 he won the Scoring Champion title, Steals title, the DPOY title, the MVP, the All-Star Game MVP and Dunk Contest title! How the hell does someone go winning the scoring title and DPOY title, much less the MVP in one season?!
It was truly the most "What can't he do?" season we've ever seen, the only thing missing from that season was the championship! It's what gave people a pass for predicting he would become the GOAT despite having 0 championships at the time, in an era that had where Magic and Bird had a much more decorated case for that title!

    • @hershelpogue1745
      @hershelpogue1745 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

Swish Scope ...thanks for sharing the greatest to ever play basketball. People don't like to hear the truth and facts about why he is the greatest of all time. These kind of stats, plus his will and drive to be the best and play the best proves he is the best to ever play the game. He took a beating and didn't complain like a few we know. He proved it and now he is the only one that seated alone. Because no other player has the same resume as Michael Jordan. If they are better then must make that person the crowning a new goat. But LeBron is not that person. Because he had a longer career has nothing to do with this title. His career should give us more information about where to place him on the rest of the list. Before you gloss a few points make sure thee player you are picking at least have these accolades and accomplishments.

Rob James or you don’t realize that Michael Jordan would still always beat them. Even in different generations the man is a legend, a god of basketball. You talk about the GOAT, you don’t talk about LeBron James, you talk about Michael Jordan. The guy revolutionized basketball all around. Like Wilt Chamberlain, he would shoot a free throw off the back board and dunk it to make it go in. Hence they made it so you have to stay at the line. Shaq brought down an entire basketball hoop. Not just broke the glass the whole thing, so they made breakaway rims so even if you’re super fucking strong like Wilt or Shaq, that you can’t break it. A lot of these people you see from the old days, changed the game to what it is today. Not LeBron James, what rules have been changed because of him? Changing the way the game is played? Absolutely ZERO. LeBron is good, but will NEVER, be better than the basketball players from before him. He used to be great. But that was when he got out of high school and joined the NBA. Why do you think the Lakers are losing so much now.

For Lebron to even compare to Jordan he’s gonna have to at least do this
    6 Rings
    6 finals mvps
    5 regular season mvps
    10 all 1st team defensive
10 time all 1st team offensive
    18 time all star
    3 time steals leader
Have his number retired by a team he never played for (the heat retired 23 for Jordan even though he never played for them)
Once he does all of that, then come talk to me, and even so Jordan would be better, but come talk to me when lebum does all of that, which will be the 1st of Never

It won't, but it will bring him closer. A lot of Lebron haters say that he is not a Top 10 player because he doesn't have enough rings, but if he defeats Golden State again (which will probably win around 70 games) it will be 2 consecutive years where he took the Cavs as underdogs and led them to the title.

His competitiveness, his athleticism, his huge hands, his hangtime, his creativity, his optimism, the chip on his shoulder, his work ethic, his inhuman ability to not sleep or get drunk and then go play a basketball game, his fearlessness, his clutch gene, his ego, his strength, his footwork, etc. Literally no weakness.

So dominant, especially due to MJ always showing up every finals game, that they didn't need a game 7. That pretty much answers the question. If he had game 7s, he would look susceptible to losses and appear more vulnerable and seem like he got lucky never losing a finals, but that's not the case, they literally never played a G7 which shows how undisputedly better those Bulls were and how consistent and reliable MJ was to lead that dynasty.

Lebron is more clutch than Kobe, no biased hating.
*LEBRON IS THE CLUTCHEST PLAYER IN PLAYOFFS HISTORY! SOMETHING CURRY AND DURANT CANT RELATE TO*
Kobe most missed FGs in playoffs history, Shaq most offensive rebounds in playoffs history (1996-2004) coincidence?
Post Season; a shot to tie or take the lead
      Last 24 seconds
      Kobe: 7 for 28 (25.0%)
      LeBron: 7 for 17 (41.1%)
      Last 30 seconds
Kobe: 7 for 28 (25.0%) (0 for 8 from the 09 post season till present day)
      LeBron: 9 for 19 (47.30%)
      Last 2 minutes
      Kobe: 17 for 50 (34%) (0 for 8 in the last two playoffs; 2010 and 2011)
      LeBron: 21 for 43 (48.8%)
      Last 5 minutes
      Kobe (since 01 season): 30 for 88 (34.09%)
      LeBron: (since 06 season): 36 for 74 (48.6%)
Game 7 of a Playoff Series
      Kobe 22.2ppg on 38.9% FG with 8.0rpg and 5.0apg (6 games)
LeBron *34.0ppg on 46.5% FG with 8.1rpg and 3.5 APG (4 games) (*NBA Record)
LeBron is clearly the better player when it pertains to game 7s
      Elimination Games
      Kobe 21.5 ppg on 41.4% FG with 5.8rpg and 3.5apg (19 games)
      LeBron 31.5 ppg on 46% FG with 10.0rpg and 6.5apg (12 games)
LeBron is also clearly the better player when facing elimination. Lebron is 16-6 against Kobe.

    Jordan vs Lebron
    Updated after Lebron’s 14th season.
    Michael Jordan has:
    - 3 more rings
    - 3 more final mvps
    - 1 more DPOY
    - 1 more season MVP
    - 9 more scoring titles
    - 3 more steals leader
    - 3 more all defensive team selections
    - 4000 more points/ brown moved past him in playoff points, but it took him longer
    - 800 more steals
    - Beat 20 50+ win teams in the playoffs(Lebron only defeated 10)
    - Jordan never averaged less than 40% Field Goal percentage in the finals, Lebron did it twice
    - 6/6 (never allowed a game 7)
    - Lebron had much more offensive help, example:
Jordan never had a teammate average more than 22 points in the finals... in fact, Mj is the only player in NBA history to lead a team to the championship with only one teammate averaging double figures in scoring
    - In the bulls’ 1997 playoff run, Scottie averaged 19 points per game shooting 42% from the field. All other teammates of Jordan average under 8 points per game. Kyrie averaged over 28 and DWade averaged more than 26.
    - MJ never, ever had a finals meltdown like Lebron in 2011 against the Mavs
    - MJ has more points in the playoffs in less games.
    - MJ accomplished all of this in 13 seasons. Lebron after his 14th season is still chasing the “ghost (GOAT) that played in Chicago.”
    - Michael Jordan in the playoffs has put up at least 40ppg, 5rpg, and 5apg in 6 different playoff series. Along with an average of about 55% shooting, 3spg and 2bpg.
(86 vs bos, 89 vs cavs, 90 vs philly, 92 vs Miami, 93 vs Phoenix, 88 vs cavs) Jordan won ever one of those matchups except for the 1986 matchup against the Celtics.
    - Jordan in 88-89 average 32 ppg, 8 apg, 8 rpg, and 3 spg of 54% shooting. Lebron has never even came close to this stat line.
    - In 87 thru 92, MJ average 5 straight seasons of already 51% FG shooting. Lebron has never done this
    - The lowest FT% MJ ever shout in a season was 78%. Lebron’s highest a season ever is 78%
    - MJ has a higher playoff FG% of 48.7% to Lebron’s 48.4%
    - MJ has a higher playoff player efficiency rating of 28.6 to Lebron’s 27.3
    - MJ shoots a higher playoff 3 point percentage of 33.2% to Lebron’s 32.9%
    - Lebron James scored 30 points 416 times in 1,117 games.
    - Michael Jordan did it 562 times in 1,072
    - Jordan won 6 championships without losing a final in 1,072 games and Lebron in 1,117 games has lost, 5 times and has only won 3 times
    - MJ also shocked the league by being the first, (and only), player to have 100 blocks and 200 steals in the same season, then turned around and did it again the next year.
    - MJ also has more career blocks (893) than Lebron James (853) despite playing in 22 LESS career games and being the smaller guy.
    - Also, MJ average 1.6 blocks per game in the 1987-87 season which is absolutely crazy for a 6’6 shooting guard. Seriously this list can keep going. This isn’t even a debate. MJ is the GOAT.
    Michael Jordan:
    - NBA reviews 5 playoff series’ averaging at least 40 ppg
    - Only player in history to lead league in scoring and win DPOY
    - Highest scoring average, points per game, in any championship series: 41.0 vs Phoenix Suns, 1993 NBA finals
    - Only rookie in NBA history to lead his team in four statistics (1984-85)
    - Only player in NBA history to lead the league in scoring, win MVP, and DPOY in the same season (1987-88)
    - Only player in history to average at least 30 pts, 6 rebs, 5 assists, and 2 steals per game AND HE DID IT 7 TIMES.
    - Only player in NBA history to win Rookie of the Year (1984-85), DPOY (1987-88, MVP (1987-88, 1990-91, 1991-92, 1995-96, and 1997-98, All-Star MVP (1988,1996,1998, and Finals MVP (1991,1992,1993,1996,1997, and 1998.)
    - Only player in NBA history to lead the league in scoring and win the NBA championship MORE THAN ONCE in the same season *HE DID THIS SIX TIMES!!! (1990-91, 1991-92, 1992-93, 1995-96, 1996-97, 1997-98.)
    - One of two player in NBA history to score 3,000 points in a season: 3,041 points scored in 82 games played (37.1 ppg) (1986-87) *Wilt Chamberlain is the only other player to achieve this.
    - Mj is also the only player in NBA history to score over 40 points at the age of 40, and he did it TWICE!
    - In 1988, MJ earned: Dunk champ, All star game MVP, NBA scoring title, League MVP and Defensive player of the year.
    - Michael has only ELEVEN complete season with the Bulls:
    - 10 scoring titles
    - Won DPOY
    - 9 time all defensive team
    - 9 time all NBA
    - 5 time league MVP
    - 6 time finals MVP
MJ has done in 11 seasons things that Lebron hasn’t done and won’t do in his whole career...
Remind me again.. who is the GOAT? 🐐

If he never retired your looking at 8 finals maybe 9. Who do you know leaves the team they suck he comes back and another 3 peat? Where has Lebron had players fear playing against him for fear of humiliation? He lead the League in scoring so many damn years points per gsme THE GREATEST FG SHOOTER EVER. 6 finals 6 wins 6 MVPs most blocks in a season and career. What more do you need?

It’s also worth noting that MJ was very rarely ever in foul trouble even. Considering how aggressive he was on offense and defense it would stand to reason he would have picked up fouls too, but no. Just an inhuman effort on his part to play both ends of the court with such ferocity against any team throughout every season.

People say Lebron are more complete player but people forget when MJ played as PG he got multiple triple double. MJ played as SG because it's more suited to his play style not because he can't play as one for all. MJ also a proven Beast in defense as well. Lebron a great player arguably top 5 of all time but to say he better than MJ is just ridiculous.

    1. People only argue whether anyone(bron, kobe, magic, wilt) is/will be better than jordan. No one argues whether jordan is better than anyone.
    2. Many people(or videos) would rank Bron/kobe is #3/#4 or even #7/#8. NO ONE thinks jordan is ranked higher than #2.
    3. 96' bulls beat the next best record 69-13 by 3 games. They didn't stop at 70-12, they did 72-10 easily. GSW did 73-9. If GSW did 75-7, then there might be an argument on who is the best team on NBA.
Isnt it obvious enough? If you think Bron will be #1 by end of his career, speak when that day comes.

mike if you read this comment can you make a video where each team in the NBA has a lineup comprised of their greatest players and simulate a season and playoffs. If you don't understand what I mean, I'm suggesting you take the greatest players to ever play for a single team and have them face.
    For example:
The lineup for a team such as the Lakers would be
    Jerry West
    Kobe
    Wilt
    Shaq
    Elgin Baylor

Second for me is the numbers he put up during the point guard experiment. Funny how people say Lebron is best all around player. What's not listed is how he's the most clutch player every.
