@zipZIP In fact food has got quite cheap in the west as compared to back in the day, but the nutritional value in the food has gone down a lot and experts claim this may be effecting people's health.
To day u have to eat much more of the health foods like veg/fruit
than in the past to get the same nutritional value, some reports show that with some apple types u have to eat up to 20 apples to get the same value of one apple 25 years ago, for instance.
The thing is it would cost very little more at the checkout to greatly increased the nutritional Value of those foods ( eg: bad apple still has to be grown, picked, boxed, transported, put on shelfs, ect.) and this should be highlighted much more with the supermarkets, it has become a race to the bottom for just a few cents, that has led to this loss of nutrition, that should not be.
You do know a lot of salad and prepared vegetables are washed in chlorine solutions too.
