    Hello,
    Can you please tell me how I can delete the music of Bose Lifestyle 48 (Umusik)? I had once had keyboard shortcuts on the BOSE AV48 to do this. But I forgot, maybe you know?
    There is also a keyboard shortcut to organize the BOSE-Umusic after songs have been deleted, you also know the combination of buttons on the BOSE AV48 Media Center
    Greetings and stay HEALTHY

    I have the newer model of those. It's old but I got it for free lol. I really like it because it was free. It does have great sound but not the best. I mean 10 times better than just a TV. It just doesn't get as loud as I like for parties and such. It's a great system but nothing like my Polk in my man cave. Can't wait to see what you think.
    It has exceptional sound up to mid sound volume. I can play with the equalizer to get it loud. The bass is ok but not what I like.

    I've owned alot of systems from Bose. The soundtouch 300 + am300, 321 gs ii, lifestyle 28iii, 535 ii, and a bunch of Bluetooth speakers and headphones. You should've gotten a lifestyle v28 III system. You can buy them extra cheap now for like 250-300 bucks. And they sale fast if you wanna get rid of it after reviewing. Reason why, is because the lifestyle does its own processing and EQ for the small satellites and bass module. Plus, The PS 28 III sounds alot better than the older acoustimass module, and hits alot lower if placed in the right location. It's not going to be any where near your chest or shaking your apartment. But it's better than the system you bought lol.

    You can't get the experience if you don't wire it the way they intended it. The speakers are inferior to your $10,000 system, bit with the wizardry, they can come close, which is what makes Bose interesting. At a fraction of the price you can come close.
    Pair that with they lifestyles systems and you get cool tech like Virtual Sound stage or phantom 500.500 audio. (Complete and continuous surround.)
    Bise is not really a speaker company, but more of a sound tech company. So just looking at the speakers alone won't give you the whole picture.

Use a polk for center or their 151 as bose never made a good center speaker only sound bar

  • @e.l.norton
    @e.l.norton 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Firstly, MOST people don't want those huge speakers that you have in their houses. That's a fact. That's the majority of consumers, who Bose targeted with those speakers. Hobbyists like Stonehenge in their houses. That's cool. But, most people don't.
    Secondly, you have an old as dirt speaker system in that old AM15. And, the modules are NOT subs. Never were marketed as such. They could never get that low. And, you might be amazed to know that speakers were not "software based" until fairly recently. There was no such thing as software updates back then. Did not exist.
    Thirdly, an AM15 like you have is not a replacement for Stonehenge. The differences will be immediately apparent. It's like comparing a big rig to a Honda. Two different customers. Two different applications. Neither can do the job of the other.
    I used to have a system similar to you. A paradigm system that I eventually got tired of looking at and even more nauseated at as I realized how much money I'd wasted to watch fucking TV. It just hit me one day. What the fuck did I do? Blew all this money....to watch....movies. I chalk it up to being young and dumb. I don't know. Anyway, in the end I got rid of all of it and now have a small, simple soundbar with a subwoofer that I rarely ever turn on. And, I couldn't be happier with it. Point being, priorities change, and for most people stuff like this is not at all a priority. They just want something that sounds good enough and that they don't see. That's what Bose went after. In fact they created the whole sub/sat segment of the industry. It ain't for everybody. But, neither is Stonehenge.

    In all cases it depends where you place the speakers. Every speaker has its own signature. Of course I mean a quality one.
    Even my SoundLink mini can "rock the walls" if I place it properly. Everyone is asking me "where's the sound coming from" when I'm at work.

    Yeah man, you gotta wire it up like Bose intended. Bose has to work it's "magic". Same reason you wouldn't run 901's without the equalizer. We all know Bose sucks, but I LOVE the factory Bose setup in my old Acura. Also, their noise cancelling headphones are pretty good.

    If satellites are design to be connected and run via bose cross overs ( subwoofer) why not test it that way….

    • @joysticktroy

      Your Monolith subwoofer? Or directly to your amp/receiver? I ask this because i feel to get the most honest assessment of the system, the Bose system should be connected to the amp, with no auto-set-up if possible, for the most authentic experience (pre-2006)

    • @Kpaceguy
      @Kpaceguy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When I said monolith I meant the monolith 7 amplifier directly. But like you just said Its best to wire it the way bose said to. So I did the entire series

    But remember its not fair to compare your large super expensive towers made for large venues using Bose lower quality system made for a very small room. To get Bose quality sound in a larger room full of highs and lows you need to get bose towers speakers made in the 80s or their bookshelve 301s that are a really loud sounding with plenty of mid bass and highs and their superb 161 with tweedler drivers for an amazing sound in a large room, and add one polk audio 12 inch sub to the mix or 4 in my case. and a atmos Dts X receiver, and Then you can give a good opinion on Bose sound. You will be blown away. But a fair close match to your towers will be their 901s. Otherwise your video has no relevance.

      Well it wasn't a comparison per say. It was just a fun video seeing what it would be like to switch systems AND to see if this certain system was worth the 300 dollars it still costs for one

    I've never heard anyone despise Bose I do love sonos but Bose is some of the best out there it's crisp and even! Edit: I forgot to add the acoustimass series was absolutely horrible I meant now with their newer line! And there is no doubting that I mean normally in TH-cam videos you can't hear speakers for how they are at all they all sound the same, but this you could hear that it was muddy and exactly the way you described with someone talking over their mouth.
