  • A Cross-Grained Praxis of Mysticism: The Global Suffering of Women as an Ethical Imperative for the Church
    Kathleen McManus, O.P., is Associate Professor of Systematic Theology at the University of Portland in Oregon. She holds a Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from the University of St. Michael’s College, Toronto. Experience in intercultural urban pastoral ministry and preaching preceded her doctoral studies and informs her work as a systematic theologian. She is a Dominican Sister of Blauvelt, New York.
    Sr. Kathleen is the author of Unbroken Communion: The Place and Meaning of Suffering in the Theology of Edward Schillebeeckx (Rowman & Littlefield Publishers, 2003). Her work has also appeared in Theological Studies. She is currently working on a book project entitled "Suffering and the Reign of God: A Feminist Epistemology."
