Random question: If you had to come up with a new and unique digivolution method what would it be? Personally I’d do something that takes advantage of the fact digimon are made of data and have the partner install programs. Like a compression program streamlines the champion for speed, an adblocker gives them armor for defense and an antivirus program gives them weapons for offense.

It's so wild hearing and seeing my name at the end 😍 Also I still go back and forth between loving and hating the "same name throughout all levels" type of digimon. IE Algomon, Arkadimon, and Eosmon. To the point where I put their level at the front to give it a more traditional name (IE Perfect Algomon). I do the same thing with X Antibodies (IE X Monzaemon)
I feel like this is an example of convergent evolution in Digimon . Digimon that have literally nothing to do with each other but needed to fill the same niche or lived in the same area or what ever condition they needed to meet were the same and hence they themselves are basically the same .
All the trailmon could really digivolve from a bunch of different Digimon, but it's hard to really find any because they pulled a blimpmon and made them champion! Gardromon would have been my pick for the prevo for trailmon worm but the blimpmon curse hits gardromon again
Great concept, I really liked the Algomon and Arcadimon connection, as I used Arcadimon in one of my personal stories (re-telling of Adventure 2020), and the Locomon...everything. Seriously, they have a bunch of train Digimon and they don't connect them? When you mentionned Bearmon, it actually reminded me of something. In Japanese, we have Bearmon (from World 3) and Chakmon (from Frontiers), but in the dub, they're both named Kumamon. I remember my brain bugging after seeing that and wondering why they used the same name, and none of the origibals to differenciate them

Locomon and Trailmon made me wish there was a jogress somewhere along the road. Either between them or just the locomon varients. Imagine train digimon, but they fuse into either a bigger train or a giant robot; super sentai style!
Never really noticed how perfect Brachimon is for Greymon, but now that I've seen it it's going to bother me forever that Greymon doesn't digivolve into Brachimon.
I was always under the impression that rasielmon and raguelmon were related through meicoomon. Meicoomon either evolves into maycrackmon or maycrackmon vicious mode kind of like light and dark evos. Maycrackmon will then evo into rasielmon and maycrackmon vicious mode will evo into raguelmon. In the card game, at least ,this is the implication since the original meicoomon was a yellow Digimon released together with maycrackmon and rasielmon in one set and we recently got a yellow/ purple meicoomon released with maycrackmon vicious mode and raguelmon (along with ordinemon and Meiko to reflect the Tri movies) in a separate set.
I think Fangmon and Leviamon look really similar, even though they don't have a lot else in common. It would be cool if they connect them eventually, since Fangmon doesn't really have a proper digivolution line at the moment.
Had Survive not just fixed it, I would have suggested Cyclomon and SkullGreymon. Cyclomon looking oddly like a malformed Greymon, but it's only explicit connection being their Dragon's Roar category and it occasionally Digivolving from an Agumon or it's variants. Cyclomon specifically connected to some design oddities about SkullGreymon, like the single horn, gaping jaw shape, longer arms and hands that don't match normal Greymon family (not that they align perfectly with Cyclomon either, what with his two fingered right arm and the missing eye, but it's much closer). Jumping off of that Cyclomon also looks like an evil version of what a furless Gabumon could become. Like the little reptile Mon ditched the pelt and emulated the strengths of a Greymon instead of Garurumon's, then dark digivolved into Cyclomon. It's mostly the yellow reptilian form and the single horn.
are you reading my mind? Cyclomon being some greymon failure is exactly what I think. Something like forced agumon evolution, Like with skullgreymon. Or forced jogress of agumon and gabumon. Or furless gabumon forced to evolve. Also his "helmet" looking head almost screams "I should have been greymon". And Cyclonemon should naturally evolve into skullgreymon. It just fits so well. Also they are both described as mindless rage.
@@kkocicakkWhile it being a dark champion evolution for Agumon would be really cool (mirroring SkullGreymon as Grey's dark evolution), I now could also see a Gabumon variant for it. One where, instead of Garurumon data to make a pelt, it gathers Greymon data to make a helmet (GeoGabumom or something), then becomes a Cyclomon instead.
Ya, i mean as obvious as it is Runnermon and Raidramon were purposefully made counterparts. Really cool; hadn't heard of that Pulsemon evo yet! Out of the rest Raguelmon & Rasielmon seem extremely deliberate too! Probably hinting at future connection confirmation. After all, the fluff, but especially the PINK NAILS. Exactly the same amount of claws and everything. That's just fishy haha. Loved the other connections you found, it's definitely fun to make up new evolution lines with digimon. I have a Funbeemon & Guilmon oc, Funbeemon evolving into a YELLOW Growlmon, while Guilmon can armor evolve into Flybeemon.
The developers of digimon apparently likes making potential networks and then never doing anything with them. I am still confused on how the digimon were able to tell that Rhythm wasn't a human. Those butterfly wings look no different than an ordinary ribbon!
it's weird to think the trailmon's don't evolve to locomon since they are basically the same thing. tralmon= trailer, while locomon= locomotive and they both transfer a large group of people
Was watching the "digimon that belong in other digivolution lines" video, and the gaudromon/blimpmon comparison reminded me of slide evolutions from Frontier. Might not fit lore reasons but that's rarely much of a roadblock. "Top 10 digimon that need slide evolutions" or something.

Interestingly, after watching this video, I began hoping for more of a come-together crossover type of situation. For example if Birdramon and Aquilamon could DNA digivolve into Garudamon to establish that connection. Makes a lot of sense to me too.
Great video per usual, Karn EX! Suppose it is quite strange that, with all similarities these Digimon have, they have no official connections to one another. The most notable by my opinion, are Brachiomon, due to it's having quite similar coloration to Greymon, as well as the Meicoomon and Herissmon lines, due to their sheer similarities in general motif. We did get a male Meicoomon in Ghost Game and I agree that Rasenmon would have been a perfect mega for it definitely seeing that it's ultimate form dose use it fur to stab at opponents.
This happens in real life quite often though, as Convergent Evolution; like how things keep evolving into crablike shapes. Some forms just have undeniable advantages.

Here are three lines I always believed were connected my entire life. Nanimon and Volcamon; Lady Devimon and Ofanimon Falldown Mode; Lady Devimon and Queen Chessmon.
Lady Devimon & Ophanimon Falldown Mode are already confirmed connected I thought. Salamon can become Blacktailmon who then becomes LadyDevimon making them both Dark Salamon Family Forms even if Falldown Mode is an incomplete dark digivolve with the completed transformation being Lillithmon.

Not the focus of this video. But IMO it is wild that we have like 5 Greek letter digimon that have ZERO evolutionary connections, and at best anecdotical connection in alfa and omega
What about Omnimon and Susanoomon? Omnimon is the fusion of WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon while Susanoomon is the fusion of EmperorGreymon and MagnaGarurumon they're clearly suppose to be variants of each other except that Susanoomon is not listed anywhere as an Omnimon variant. You can find references to WarGreymon and EmperorGreymon being related as well as MetalGarurumon and MagnaGarurumon cause they actually share names in the Greymon and Garurumon families respectively. Even other Digimon like Goamon who don't share a name can be officially linked to the Garurumon family just based on the similar wolf theme but Susanoomon who even has a similar design of having a Greymon head as the left hand and a Garurumon head as the right hand exactly like Omnimon is not listed anywhere as having anything to do with Omnimon. There's also a Samurai version of WarGreymon with a different name who doesn't even share the "Greymon" naming convention of other evolutions but is still considered part of the Greymon family due to the similar design but they can't do the same thing for Susanoomon who is clearly meant to be an Omnimon variant despite not sharing the Omnimon name. I'm very confused why there seems to be nothing officially confirming Susanoomon as an Omnimon variant considering how similar it is to Omnimon. Alphamon shares more of a connection to Omnimon and that's only because the Japanese name is Omegamon but the designs aren't even the least bit similar to each other, they really have nothing in common besides taking their names from the first and last letters of the Greek Alphabet yet Alphamon some how has more of a lore connection to Omnimon than Susanoomon does.
I would LOVE a DIM card that includes Algomon and Arcadimon, but also Keramon's evolution's and other otherworldly, tentacle and eye-theme Digimon like Parallelmon, Negamon, etc. Bogleech, who does pop culture monster reviews, also notes a lot of the Digimon Negamon spawned in Adventure 2020, like Eyesmon, Rareraremon, Deathmon, Soundbirdmon etc, all have eye or teeth and and tendril motifs, as do "mutant" type Digimon like Sukamon with big bulging eyes: The Digimon franchise seems to use those features for Digimon that are meant to be unnatural and "glitches" (Which makes sense, it synergizes with cosmic horror themes well), and are some of my favorite design features (See: Majora's Mask)

I feel like The digimon Cybersleuth creators need to add the other crests/egg digivolutions. We only have Flamedramon and Wargreymon & Metalgarurumon ripoffs. Then you got Rapidmon Armor..
The Lunamon and Lopmon lines feel weirdly similar to me. Lopmon’s best known move is Blazing Ice, and the Lunamon line has icy powers across the board. Both Lopmon and Lunamon start off as small Rabbit-like Rookies, and both Champions take on a martial arts feel, with Turuiemon and Lekismon relying on hand-to-hand combat and powerful jumping. Evolving again to Perfect-level, Antylamon/Andiramon and Crescemon, both use similar weaponry with Antylamon/Andiramon’s hands becoming Axes and Crescemon’s weapon resembling and axe or scythe. Last, but not least, their Mega-forms are literal God Bunnies. Cherubimon is one of the Three Great Angels and Dianamon is one of the Olympos XII.
Do u intend to do a video on explaining the Ludomon line? Like it always felt extremely random with no link between the digivolution to me. (Decided to ask cause u did the Mirage to TiaLudo comparison)
It's particularly jaring that Locomon and Trailmon made their anime debuts within weeks of eachother. Hell, given Parisimon is the true antagonist of Runaway Locomon, I wouldn't be surprised if Locomon's inclusion was more of a nod towards what was to come.

I would love to see a series of Digimon where the protagonist and antagonist use the Digimon (or some of) that you have listed that are similar to one another, but aren't connected, especially Argomon and Arkadiamon. I don't know why I love the idea of it, maybe I'm attracted to the "foils" trope.

Though unlikely, I'd love to see a connection between CaptainHookmon and Boltboutamon. Only slight issue may be CaptainHookmon's vaccine attribute against Boltboutamon's virus. But both have a pirate theme going on which I love.
hi karn iv wathed a lot of your digimon videos as of late and some of my favorites have been digimon you feel should dna digivolve and i wanted to pitch you an idea and see what you thought i dont know what they might become but i feel like its a missed opportunity bc like youv sead in t past digimon that have overcome a difference in opinons and personal isue with each outher and have a similar natuer or role make the best dna partners and as two of my favorite digimon i feel like plutomon and Jupitermon would make perfect dna partners as they both have similar rolls in the digital world but take isue with one anothers methods i could see them comeing to terms with each outher and becoming the ultimate keeper of the underworld and punisher of evil digimon kind of a balanced of light and dark while being the absolute ruler of the digital underworld what do you think?
Seeing some Appmon sharing names with other Digimon is interesting, though I wonder how they will be differentiated. I hope we get the similarities running gag in the Appmon anime for the Digimon. Also seeing Shademon getting the shaft while Eyesmon gets featured in recent media is sad (outside the TCG). I wonder if it has to do with that one digixros or the names of it's moves?

As someone who really identified with Takato in his younger years, I gotta go for Guilmon, although others like Veemon, Gabumon, Shoutmon, Gumdramon and currently Gammamon are definitely up there for me.

On the subjection variations, since we know very little about the Wichenly server system, other than a Gallantmon variant known as MedievalGallantmon showed up during a time crisis to save Witchenly before mysteriously disappearing after the crisis had been resolved. I also have mentioned before that I would like to see what you think Witchenly variants of all the Tamers mega stages could be like. But I was thinking, with Agumon 2006 being a slight variation of the default Agumon while still just being called Agumon, what if we made some fun Witchenly variants of existing Digimon that could be used by Digidestined in Witchenly? I've kind of been on this sort of Witchenly thought train since sketching out an original Digivice of my own, especially after I decided to have it lean into the mystical side of things because of the Magatama in its design, and later buttons that are a reference to the suits of the Minor Arcana in Tarot cards. And the first of these variants I thought of was a red variant of Zabumon to be partnered with one of the kids, because of his red variation and the fact these kids would be in Witchenly, the servers of the Digital world that lean into the mystical and Fantasy side of things, I thought it could be interesting to see the red Zabumon variant, and its evolutions, tap into the magical sword/weapon aesthetic by all having the fire element to them, so they're all basically fire/burning swords and blades throughout the entire evolution line; Zabumon hasn't gotten an official partner yet, to my knowledge, and slightly shifting it with a variant with elemental properties could fun to see, it could also lean into the trope of heroes having swords in a lot of stories, especially magical settings.
Huh, the similarities between Runnermon and Raidramon are so obvious, even down to the same pose and angle in the official art, makes me feel that they really should be related. And THAT makes me think about what if every Armor-Digimon had a non-armored counterpart/"cousin", somewhat to insert them into evolution-lines without falling back to Armor-levels, although considering they've already been doing that, not really necessary. Also, makes me feel like there might be some connection between the Pulsemon-line and the Digimental of Friendship, if it had more similarities to other Friendship-Armors in other evolutions, then I'd say it had to be intended. I never really realized how many superficial similarities there are between Arcadimon and Argomon, both keep the same name throughout their line, both have/develope tentacles, both come from Ancient Greek concepts. But functionally, and I feel like I've brought it up below your 2 last videos as well, I feel like Arcadimon is more similar to Bemmon, at least according to its new reference book entry (can't remember it performing that function too much in DW3), with both Arcadimon and Bemmon being artificial Digimon created to become the strongest by fighting and absorbing the data of other Digimon, sometimes even on a higher level. Funny thing about Trailmon and Locomon is, I'm pretty sure I remember Trailmon being called Locomon in the German dub of Frontiers (although I currently find nothing to back that up, so I might just be plain misremembering). Still, really weird that these have never been connected properly, although I find it weird that the Trailmon are only Adult/Champion-level to begin with, I mean, the only difference to Locomon that I can find is that Trailmon seem to travel on only one rail, while Locomon probably on 2 like a proper locomotive. I feel the Eyesmon and Shademon one, I really thought it was going to be Shademon, its first outing outside of the XrosWars manga, and the way it manifested as shadows made me so sure it was, but nope, Eyesmon. Anyways, I guess for a better reason why they're not canonically connected is because Shademon is meant to represent just pure darkness, while Eyesmon is appearently supposed to be an "Evil Dragon"-Digimon... despite not really looking like a dragon in its true form, more like a bug, it's probably just a dragon to have it flow "better" into Orochimon. Anyways, they basically look similar, but aren't actually, is the thought I think. Like convergent evolution, developing similar traits due to similar circumstances. Still feels like it should at least be brought up though just how similar they look. And lastly, I won't lie, when I first saw TiaLudomon I definfitely thought of MirageGaogamon, the chest-armor and even it sharing the white hair/fur with MirageGaogamon BM are uncanny. -As a Spadamon-fan it also felt like a bit of a spit in the face when I first saw it, considering it also has some similarities to TiaLudomon, and Spadamon definitely feels like it could evolve into MirageGaogamon.- I was about to bring up Veemon and Shoutmon, again, a common occurance recently, since I thought their appearences together would be mostly relegated to their roles as partners of the main character of their seasons, but appearently Shoutmon evolved from Veemon with Coronamon and Agumon in Super Xros Wars, and that one feels like a much more purposeful connection.
Also we actually have 3 Panda Digimon, Porcupamon. Hes white and black and profile mentions being near extinct! I dont know if it evolved to Pandamon though. I hope Panbachimon gets remembered one day. Imagine a DiM with pandas and bee digimon with him as the rookie
A pair I feel like should be connected is Renamon and Maicrackmon. Maybe it's just because they are both yellow feminine presenting mammalian Digimon but they feel like they should have some kind of connection.
I think the choice of writing "Lighdramon" is so the rest of the world stops pronouncing the "ai" in "Rai" wrong, with the anglophones oftentimes wrongly pronouncing it like the "ay" of "way" and, in the case of my people (the French), pronouncing it like an "è".
Maildramon look like a dragon version of pawnchessmon white but never show up together even in xross war where knightmon lead a army of panwchessmon but no maildramon to be seen and it sayd to be knightmon's servant in the reference book
So, idea. Another unfinished evolution lines. Such as Dorulumon who never got a proper Rookie or mega, but we know the ultimate level is JaegerDorulumon. Edit: even throw in the Gumdramon line, since we know Gumdramon is a rookie, and that Arresterdramon is an ultimate, but we don't know the champion of mega levels.

Aequcedramon could be a good bridge between Blucomon and Wingdramon. A sort of way of focusing on its draconic elements rather than its ice ones.

You know what grind my gears? The fact that Impmon, the fire based demon, can evolve into Wizardmon but not FlaWizardmon

Runnermon almost looks like it could be a Friendship Armor for Herrismon. If you adjusted the colors a little, it almost looks very possible.

Never really noticed how perfect Brachimon is for Greymon, but now that I've seen it it's going to bother me forever that Greymon doesn't digivolve into Brachimon.
I was always under the impression that rasielmon and raguelmon were related through meicoomon. Meicoomon either evolves into maycrackmon or maycrackmon vicious mode kind of like light and dark evos. Maycrackmon will then evo into rasielmon and maycrackmon vicious mode will evo into raguelmon. In the card game, at least ,this is the implication since the original meicoomon was a yellow Digimon released together with maycrackmon and rasielmon in one set and we recently got a yellow/ purple meicoomon released with maycrackmon vicious mode and raguelmon (along with ordinemon and Meiko to reflect the Tri movies) in a separate set.
I think Fangmon and Leviamon look really similar, even though they don't have a lot else in common. It would be cool if they connect them eventually, since Fangmon doesn't really have a proper digivolution line at the moment.
Had Survive not just fixed it, I would have suggested Cyclomon and SkullGreymon. Cyclomon looking oddly like a malformed Greymon, but it's only explicit connection being their Dragon's Roar category and it occasionally Digivolving from an Agumon or it's variants. Cyclomon specifically connected to some design oddities about SkullGreymon, like the single horn, gaping jaw shape, longer arms and hands that don't match normal Greymon family (not that they align perfectly with Cyclomon either, what with his two fingered right arm and the missing eye, but it's much closer).
Jumping off of that Cyclomon also looks like an evil version of what a furless Gabumon could become. Like the little reptile Mon ditched the pelt and emulated the strengths of a Greymon instead of Garurumon's, then dark digivolved into Cyclomon. It's mostly the yellow reptilian form and the single horn.
are you reading my mind? Cyclomon being some greymon failure is exactly what I think. Something like forced agumon evolution, Like with skullgreymon.
Or forced jogress of agumon and gabumon.
Or furless gabumon forced to evolve.
Also his "helmet" looking head almost screams "I should have been greymon".
And Cyclonemon should naturally evolve into skullgreymon. It just fits so well. Also they are both described as mindless rage.

Ya, i mean as obvious as it is Runnermon and Raidramon were purposefully made counterparts. Really cool; hadn't heard of that Pulsemon evo yet! Out of the rest Raguelmon & Rasielmon seem extremely deliberate too! Probably hinting at future connection confirmation. After all, the fluff, but especially the PINK NAILS. Exactly the same amount of claws and everything. That's just fishy haha. Loved the other connections you found, it's definitely fun to make up new evolution lines with digimon. I have a Funbeemon & Guilmon oc, Funbeemon evolving into a YELLOW Growlmon, while Guilmon can armor evolve into Flybeemon.
The developers of digimon apparently likes making potential networks and then never doing anything with them. I am still confused on how the digimon were able to tell that Rhythm wasn't a human. Those butterfly wings look no different than an ordinary ribbon!
it's weird to think the trailmon's don't evolve to locomon since they are basically the same thing. tralmon= trailer, while locomon= locomotive and they both transfer a large group of people

Interestingly, after watching this video, I began hoping for more of a come-together crossover type of situation. For example if Birdramon and Aquilamon could DNA digivolve into Garudamon to establish that connection. Makes a lot of sense to me too.
Great video per usual, Karn EX! Suppose it is quite strange that, with all similarities these Digimon have, they have no official connections to one another. The most notable by my opinion, are Brachiomon, due to it's having quite similar coloration to Greymon, as well as the Meicoomon and Herissmon lines, due to their sheer similarities in general motif. We did get a male Meicoomon in Ghost Game and I agree that Rasenmon would have been a perfect mega for it definitely seeing that it's ultimate form dose use it fur to stab at opponents.

Here are three lines I always believed were connected my entire life.
Nanimon and Volcamon;
Lady Devimon and Ofanimon Falldown Mode;
Lady Devimon and Queen Chessmon.
Lady Devimon & Ophanimon Falldown Mode are already confirmed connected I thought. Salamon can become Blacktailmon who then becomes LadyDevimon making them both Dark Salamon Family Forms even if Falldown Mode is an incomplete dark digivolve with the completed transformation being Lillithmon.

I'll say this right now. Lighdramon will always be Raidramon for me. The appmon Raidramon isn't bad, but it's not the same.
What about Omnimon and Susanoomon? Omnimon is the fusion of WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon while Susanoomon is the fusion of EmperorGreymon and MagnaGarurumon they're clearly suppose to be variants of each other except that Susanoomon is not listed anywhere as an Omnimon variant. You can find references to WarGreymon and EmperorGreymon being related as well as MetalGarurumon and MagnaGarurumon cause they actually share names in the Greymon and Garurumon families respectively. Even other Digimon like Goamon who don't share a name can be officially linked to the Garurumon family just based on the similar wolf theme but Susanoomon who even has a similar design of having a Greymon head as the left hand and a Garurumon head as the right hand exactly like Omnimon is not listed anywhere as having anything to do with Omnimon.
There's also a Samurai version of WarGreymon with a different name who doesn't even share the "Greymon" naming convention of other evolutions but is still considered part of the Greymon family due to the similar design but they can't do the same thing for Susanoomon who is clearly meant to be an Omnimon variant despite not sharing the Omnimon name. I'm very confused why there seems to be nothing officially confirming Susanoomon as an Omnimon variant considering how similar it is to Omnimon. Alphamon shares more of a connection to Omnimon and that's only because the Japanese name is Omegamon but the designs aren't even the least bit similar to each other, they really have nothing in common besides taking their names from the first and last letters of the Greek Alphabet yet Alphamon some how has more of a lore connection to Omnimon than Susanoomon does.

I would LOVE a DIM card that includes Algomon and Arcadimon, but also Keramon's evolution's and other otherworldly, tentacle and eye-theme Digimon like Parallelmon, Negamon, etc. Bogleech, who does pop culture monster reviews, also notes a lot of the Digimon Negamon spawned in Adventure 2020, like Eyesmon, Rareraremon, Deathmon, Soundbirdmon etc, all have eye or teeth and and tendril motifs, as do "mutant" type Digimon like Sukamon with big bulging eyes: The Digimon franchise seems to use those features for Digimon that are meant to be unnatural and "glitches" (Which makes sense, it synergizes with cosmic horror themes well), and are some of my favorite design features (See: Majora's Mask)

The Lunamon and Lopmon lines feel weirdly similar to me. Lopmon’s best known move is Blazing Ice, and the Lunamon line has icy powers across the board.
Both Lopmon and Lunamon start off as small Rabbit-like Rookies, and both Champions take on a martial arts feel, with Turuiemon and Lekismon relying on hand-to-hand combat and powerful jumping. Evolving again to Perfect-level, Antylamon/Andiramon and Crescemon, both use similar weaponry with Antylamon/Andiramon’s hands becoming Axes and Crescemon’s weapon resembling and axe or scythe. Last, but not least, their Mega-forms are literal God Bunnies. Cherubimon is one of the Three Great Angels and Dianamon is one of the Olympos XII.
Do u intend to do a video on explaining the Ludomon line? Like it always felt extremely random with no link between the digivolution to me.

It's particularly jaring that Locomon and Trailmon made their anime debuts within weeks of eachother. Hell, given Parisimon is the true antagonist of Runaway Locomon, I wouldn't be surprised if Locomon's inclusion was more of a nod towards what was to come.

I can see that and I want see Digimon based on the 4 horse men (idk is they already exist) but them having a tame Digivaltion like pestilence having a line ending up as a plage doctor but having a cool digiegg that taps into the dark nature of them it will be cool to have them in there like we have the 7 deadly sins (I have a idea for pestilence in training form the digiegg ideas and a idea as the effects they have on their tamer)

Though unlikely, I'd love to see a connection between CaptainHookmon and Boltboutamon. Only slight issue may be CaptainHookmon's vaccine attribute against Boltboutamon's virus. But both have a pirate theme going on which I love.

Seeing some Appmon sharing names with other Digimon is interesting, though I wonder how they will be differentiated. I hope we get the similarities running gag in the Appmon anime for the Digimon. Also seeing Shademon getting the shaft while Eyesmon gets featured in recent media is sad (outside the TCG). I wonder if it has to do with that one digixros or the names of it's moves?

As someone who really identified with Takato in his younger years, I gotta go for Guilmon, although others like Veemon, Gabumon, Shoutmon, Gumdramon and currently Gammamon are definitely up there for me.

On the subjection variations, since we know very little about the Wichenly server system, other than a Gallantmon variant known as MedievalGallantmon showed up during a time crisis to save Witchenly before mysteriously disappearing after the crisis had been resolved. I also have mentioned before that I would like to see what you think Witchenly variants of all the Tamers mega stages could be like. But I was thinking, with Agumon 2006 being a slight variation of the default Agumon while still just being called Agumon, what if we made some fun Witchenly variants of existing Digimon that could be used by Digidestined in Witchenly?
I've kind of been on this sort of Witchenly thought train since sketching out an original Digivice of my own, especially after I decided to have it lean into the mystical side of things because of the Magatama in its design, and later buttons that are a reference to the suits of the Minor Arcana in Tarot cards. And the first of these variants I thought of was a red variant of Zabumon to be partnered with one of the kids, because of his red variation and the fact these kids would be in Witchenly, the servers of the Digital world that lean into the mystical and Fantasy side of things, I thought it could be interesting to see the red Zabumon variant, and its evolutions, tap into the magical sword/weapon aesthetic by all having the fire element to them, so they're all basically fire/burning swords and blades throughout the entire evolution line; Zabumon hasn't gotten an official partner yet, to my knowledge, and slightly shifting it with a variant with elemental properties could fun to see, it could also lean into the trope of heroes having swords in a lot of stories, especially magical settings.
Raidramon (digimon) shouldn't have gotten a new name, they could have just kept the same name as the appmon, like others.

I remember brachiomon in digimon world 1, there was even a card for it in the game.
Huh, the similarities between Runnermon and Raidramon are so obvious, even down to the same pose and angle in the official art, makes me feel that they really should be related. And THAT makes me think about what if every Armor-Digimon had a non-armored counterpart/"cousin", somewhat to insert them into evolution-lines without falling back to Armor-levels, although considering they've already been doing that, not really necessary. Also, makes me feel like there might be some connection between the Pulsemon-line and the Digimental of Friendship, if it had more similarities to other Friendship-Armors in other evolutions, then I'd say it had to be intended.
I never really realized how many superficial similarities there are between Arcadimon and Argomon, both keep the same name throughout their line, both have/develope tentacles, both come from Ancient Greek concepts. But functionally, and I feel like I've brought it up below your 2 last videos as well, I feel like Arcadimon is more similar to Bemmon, at least according to its new reference book entry (can't remember it performing that function too much in DW3), with both Arcadimon and Bemmon being artificial Digimon created to become the strongest by fighting and absorbing the data of other Digimon, sometimes even on a higher level.
Funny thing about Trailmon and Locomon is, I'm pretty sure I remember Trailmon being called Locomon in the German dub of Frontiers (although I currently find nothing to back that up, so I might just be plain misremembering). Still, really weird that these have never been connected properly, although I find it weird that the Trailmon are only Adult/Champion-level to begin with, I mean, the only difference to Locomon that I can find is that Trailmon seem to travel on only one rail, while Locomon probably on 2 like a proper locomotive.
I feel the Eyesmon and Shademon one, I really thought it was going to be Shademon, its first outing outside of the XrosWars manga, and the way it manifested as shadows made me so sure it was, but nope, Eyesmon. Anyways, I guess for a better reason why they're not canonically connected is because Shademon is meant to represent just pure darkness, while Eyesmon is appearently supposed to be an "Evil Dragon"-Digimon... despite not really looking like a dragon in its true form, more like a bug, it's probably just a dragon to have it flow "better" into Orochimon. Anyways, they basically look similar, but aren't actually, is the thought I think. Like convergent evolution, developing similar traits due to similar circumstances. Still feels like it should at least be brought up though just how similar they look.
And lastly, I won't lie, when I first saw TiaLudomon I definfitely thought of MirageGaogamon, the chest-armor and even it sharing the white hair/fur with MirageGaogamon BM are uncanny. -As a Spadamon-fan it also felt like a bit of a spit in the face when I first saw it, considering it also has some similarities to TiaLudomon, and Spadamon definitely feels like it could evolve into MirageGaogamon.-
I was about to bring up Veemon and Shoutmon, again, a common occurance recently, since I thought their appearences together would be mostly relegated to their roles as partners of the main character of their seasons, but appearently Shoutmon evolved from Veemon with Coronamon and Agumon in Super Xros Wars, and that one feels like a much more purposeful connection.
The closest Rasenmon & Rasielmon can get by now is when Rasielmon teamed up with Rasenmon to defeat Armagemon and in the Fianl Arc of Digimon ReArise

TiaLudomon feels almost like a reference with the design, same as Ludomon. Probably could find something similar for RaijiLudomon and BryweLudramon.

A pair I feel like should be connected is Renamon and Maicrackmon. Maybe it's just because they are both yellow feminine presenting mammalian Digimon but they feel like they should have some kind of connection.
I think the choice of writing "Lighdramon" is so the rest of the world stops pronouncing the "ai" in "Rai" wrong, with the anglophones oftentimes wrongly pronouncing it like the "ay" of "way" and, in the case of my people (the French), pronouncing it like an "è".
Maildramon look like a dragon version of pawnchessmon white but never show up together even in xross war where knightmon lead a army of panwchessmon but no maildramon to be seen and it sayd to be knightmon's servant in the reference book
