Tune History: Club members learned this tune for the first time at a workshop taught by Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas in winter term 2020. The tune dates to around 1780, and was written by Scottish historian and songwriter John Skinner. The title is a euphemism for a whiskey still. The tune has lyrics, although the verses are too numerous to relate here.
