For normal shoes it is great to add a little elevation for the heal into your shoe so the pressurepoint on the heal will be on a different place. You can get them in shoe stores. Maybe it works for footballboots as well.
For heal blisters, you can put kinesiology tape directly over top of the blister. Then, wrap your ankle with regular athletic tape. You will be able to play pain free even with terrible blisters. After an hour or two of training, the heat and sweat will allow you to take the tape off as well without damage or pain. Best method, works every time.
and your feet don't get sweaty from two layers of socks? I'm not going to lie, it seems the lack of friction accommodated by the runner's shoelace trick is saving you
What causes blisters: friction, moisture and heat 1. Pick the correct boots, worst = long backs 2. Use some (blister) tape 3. Grip socks 4. Lace hoop 5. Hot water trick
Thanks so much, your advice worked! I bought some grip socks and used your laces trick, and it worked a treat! No blisters after playing! Again, thanks so much!
Hi JayMike. I know they're old but give advise for wearing old mercurials in a video maybe, like superfly 3 and previous. I could have done with advise last night, I decided to wear my Superfly 2's for my game and got a horrible blister
@@Birkolator yeah these tips helped me not get blisters, however it’s just my football boots, I get pins and needles and need to take them off now and again
I don't even play soccer lol. I did classic ballet for many years and wearing toeshoes can be really blister inducing. I used to always get blisters on my big toe and little toe on both feet, because they would rub against the edges of the shoes no matter how well I tied them. However I found that loosly doing a few layers of sportstape on my big and little toe on each foot would prevent blisters completely. However make sure to take the tape off right after you're done, otherwise the tape will get very tight and may squeeze your toes a little too much.
I’ve got very weird big feet, and the bunions on the heel bone stick out to the sides and every single boot causes coin sized blisters on the heel. I tried heaps of kinds of socks and then I found ArmaSkin socks, they are not like a normal thin sock, that have no seams on the inside, and the inside has a silicone breathable coating to stop friction against your foot, and the outside of the socks is a very slippery to allow for and absorb the slight friction that happens, because no matter how well your boots fit, once you start to sweat and change direction the skin grabs and moves. I can’t recommended ArmaSkin enough
Thank you for this - I've never heard of these, and I've been searching for anything to prevent blisters. I'm trying to simply walk for fitness, but it'll be impossible to get fit if my feet are shredding after 15 minutes of walking, no matter what I do (taping, etc). These sound like they might be the ticket.
@@citer5574 yeah it certainly is haglunds derformity, thats what my podiatrist says anyway. it's a massive pain in the ass finding shoes that don't kill me 😵
Hi Unisport, I’m a referee and I experienced some blisters in the toe box area when I’m on artificial grass. I currently have a pair of indoor boots to reduce the friction (compared to FG boots that are a nightmare on AG). I also wear two pairs of socks to reduce the friction and the space inside the shoe. I would want to wear a pair of grip socks, but the uniform code is really strict, so I can’t wear them. Do you think that a pair of Turf shoes could be the solution to my problems or my best alternative is to tape my toes? Thank you. Jérémie
@@mejomathew4496 I wear Turf shoes on AG. It helps with the cushioning of the midsole. I used to wear two pairs of socks. Instead, I discovered Puregripsocks (SR4U's company). It reduces movement inside my shoes. Also, I lubricate my feet with runner's balm (Squirrel Nut Butter or Body Glide) to eleminate friction. In summary: balm + grip socks + turf boots = no more blisters
I'm using the Puma Future Z, when I use it I feel pressure on the back of the heel and it hurts, the front toe still has 1cm+ space left, any suggestions?? thank you
I got a blister right in the back of my ankle and everytime it gets better it just comes back! I have tried so many bandades but they just come off halfway through a practice or game then I am left with my shoe rubbing against raw skin. Its as bad as it sounds. Im going to try some of the things you mentioned in the video and hopefully it will help! Ill update this when I test ir out tomorrow at practice.
People that do endurance horseback riding go for 50-100 miles rides and have to ride many hours each day to keep horse in top shape told me they wear women's nylon stockings under their pants to prevent chaffing from the seam of the pants. For feet you can get knee high nylons and wear them under socks. Wear a good absorbent socks cuz your feet will sweat but they will not chaff. Does work really good.
This is a decent tip. I used to figure skate, and the best thing to go into the (very tight-fitting, hard-as-a-rock boots) was thin nylons (only that, no other socks or tights). I would fold the top edge over the laces to keep them from getting snagged, too. I would still get some lace bite over the top of my ankle and slight bruising on the inner ankle bone, but I found some large (3"x5") thick silicone gel pads to lay over the whole area before tightening the skates, and it worked a treat.
I have a heel disorder so I kind of have a bone that sticks out and rubs against my cleat and gives me blisters no matter what cleats I wear. So some people might just be unlucky and some people have to get surgery to get that bone grinded down.
