I hope that they make dlc for Eugene(Video), Whatever the ex convicts name was I forget(smoke), and big boss Augustine (Concrete). I would love seeing the view of the other characters before the events of the main game. Eugene being the same time zone as fetch. Showing how his power was being abused by Aguestine then where he goes after leaving. Then giving the player the view of him learning how to use his powers, going in hiding, and saving other conduetes.(A possible mini game being him going on quest or something in the world he makes.) Then ending on him finding out about Delson or the moment where he sends a angel to save him. The Convict guy being a tiny bit before being taken by D.U.P. in order to see what he is losing when he gets captures by the D.U.P then showing a little of D.U.P. emprisonment. Then showing how he gets his "Golden Opportunity" and ending there. Then finally showing Aguestine and how she made the D.U.P. by betraying the paper girl. Then showing how she captures conduetes and builds the D.U.P. (the main ones being Eugene, Fetch, and the other one.) And ending when she sends the truck full of the main three. I know this would be a LOT of work for them and take too much time and money but I know I and many other people would pay every cent to play it. This is my own thoughts and would love to hear others opinions.
inFamous is one of my favorite game series (yes, even if some the mechanics are not the most refined). So, seeing a compelling DLC, well worth the price, being added to series was both a stunning and welcoming. I seriously wish Sucker Punch took the opportunity to explore some darker themes in the games, like maybe even playing as a character who abuses their power for their own personal gain (without the hamfisted karma system). There was far too much potential for the series overall, and although I'm grateful for what we got, I still can't help but wish for more, even if it is DLC.
God we need another Infamous game. Wouldn't mind something continuing the adventures of the cast from Second Son; the powers just seem to offer so much potential! I might be alone here but it seems like it would've been cool for another DLC playing as the Smoke guy or Augustine before she goes the "paramilitary director" route!
For me it happened all the time, I think it might be the fact that neon generates its own light, so if you use the dash in a dark area it naturally lights it up, but when moving into a better lit place, the game doesn't register that change until you stop using the dash
Watching my father play this was my first introduction into the series, and led to me playing the original, and i want to play the second and Second Son
Love the Infamous games and happy we had them to enjoy at launch for the PS4, the DLC however was to us here..... even better then the game that we really liked. The DLC was just better on every level. Was fun to see your take on it @Aqua in your usual in depth and intelligent way. Thank you..... As I know these longer videos take so long to capture, script, edit and upload.
the lighting problem you have in second son isn't just you. for some reason the lighting problem only happens: when the time is day,you use neon, and when using the dash you decide to look up in the dash. the camera adjust to how bright the dash is and just stays like that until you let go.
I'm glad that it set up Dishonoured 2, but you didn't need to play it for that game to make sense. Something I'm a bit worried about with Death if the Outsider being the set up for the third entry
Honestly, this is what makes me look back on Second Son fondly. The initial game had a few positives to it that had me enjoying the first half, but this DLC alone is better than most of the story in the initial game.
Thank you for making these inFAMOUS videos, it’s my favorite game series of all time and I feel it doesn’t get enough recognition. Maybe you could make videos about the original two too.
I never knew first light is an expansion of second sun, first light was one of the first games I played on my PlayStation. I only recently got second sun and I haven't even finished it. First light in one of my favorite games for sure and it introduced me to the inFamous franchise!
the neon clouds and chasing that neon orb kind of remind me of saints row IV's second or third mission where you had to run around collecting orbs to upgrade your powers and the races which had you go through circles like these that boost. it's probably taken from First light
I only had the opportunity to play Second Son briefly, but I watch playthroughs of all karma paths of all games and playthroughs of all DLCs because I just fell in love with the franchise and hope in the future I can first hand experience the games. That said, I hope it's not too presumptions to judge at least the story of the games, specifically there is only a small thing about the story of First Light I didn't like. In Second Son I got the idea that Fetch killed her brother while in a paranoia driven by the absence of the drugs, but in First Light it was during one of the drug-ridden episodes that she killed him. Although I think it still impactful scene, I feel like the former would be a bit more impactful and heavier than the latter. Either way I thoroughly enjoyed what I could experience of the series, and will continue to watch every inFamous review I can. Great video BTW.
Personally the missions in the dlc were the most frustrating thing, especially the sniper ones where you're locked in place out in the open, with your view super zoomed in
I feel like a better dlc could have you been playing as Augustine maybe the bosses as capturing conduits getting the internal thoughts of her struggling to do this but her mind saying “this is ok I’m doing the right thing” plus creatin a real cool concrete power
I like the fact that they had Travis Willingham voice Shane (and even inform the character design) because it gives more reason for Fetch to distrust Reggie Rowe, the character Travis voice-acts in inFAMOUS: Second Son.
Facts I liked this game more than second son. Fetch movements are so damn smooth..and you feel actually powerful..but can still get fucked up if you aint careful. in second son Delsin feels so clumsy and underpowered..I guess that's the point but damn..I really want another Fetch game
15:02 I didn’t find the snow setting to be blinding or much of an issue at all 😅 I wish there was a way to go back to since it was so pretty and a huge waste of a map that you can only play on once 😿
The thing that really bothered me about this DLC is that the story is VERY different from the one her flashback told you, as if they had to break continuity to make it a DLC campaign. Even though you could've made it about the mysterious Paper girl, which would've expanded on her more, and give us a whole new power, instead of just a varient of Neon.
I always thought infamous should make it's own game like for honor, but with infamous world. The "sides" could be from two leaders, one who can control time and brought a cole from a alternate reality (good) and a conduit who can control life energy, and brought back original cole, but he became like the beast, needing to drain people to keep alive, along with causing people's gene to activate if they had it.
18:00 I personally never played Celeste but the one thing I knew about it, narrative wise, was that it was about mental health and how the main character has depression/anxiety. And like...I appreciate them trying to talk about it in their own way, but I always felt like the way they were treating it was too..."gimmicky" I guess. I feel like if you're trying to make a story about struggling with mental health, you shouldn't portray it in such a cartoonishly over the top way, it's way more complicated and less tangible than that. I also don't think "THIS GAME TALKS ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH" should be used essentially as a marketing point, just seems disingenuous to me. That's just me though, no hate to anyone who really resonated with the game. And again, I haven't played it, so I don't fully knoq how well it portrays mental helath.
More on topic though, I do like how Fetch seemingly doesn't really know what to call her "freak outs" or why she has them. Someone like her wouldn't have grown up surrounded by people who knew about mental health issues, or would even care about hers if they did. It's like she's gone through life just having to deal with it, but never felt like digging deep into it cause she feels that she has more improtant stuff to worry about, duch as her and her brother's physical well-being. Just a neat attention to detail.
celeste is as a whole a story about accepting yourself and dealing with anxiety and stuff, the game itself doesnt necesarily say "oh yeah this character has anxiety and is defined by it" rather just shows the character dealing with it in the context of the message of the story that is accepting yourself and being able to reach your goals and all that
I wouldn't be surprised if the details that are included like fetch using both hands and looking more involved in draining is on purpose. When you think about it cole did the same thing. Almost like Delsin can get lots of powers but they're nowhere close to equally as powerful as the prime conduits. They kinda did this already in infamous 2 and it makes the world building a little more in depth.
I just realized that Delsin is basically the Avatar

I would love just a remastered of the first two, Infamous 2 is my favorite game of all time
@@OfficialPaulBlake infamous:system break? For Eugine?
Thanks! Really happy you made this
Glad you liked it!
I love having one power in first light. It really reminded me of the originals (arguably inF2 and inF festival of blood have other powers)
I know what you mean, it was nice to have one power fully fleshed out!
inFamous is one of my favorite game series (yes, even if some the mechanics are not the most refined).
I really like that at the ending Hank is there, winks at her and reveals his tool to break out of cuffs and APC, tbh that was one of my fave parts
The golden opportunity
Sometimes the lightning is so Bright IT looks like a Ubisoft load screen had me cracking up Xd
Love this dlc. Kinda wish Fetch was the main protagonist over Delsin
honestly same but as mentioned in the video, the karma system definitely held delsin back in terms of characterisation.
The "neon lighting issue" in Second Son is only present in the "Hero" time of day from my experience.
Thank you, I appreciate it!
!!
Ngl, I thought that First Light was a seperate game
Can we take a second to appreciate the fact that the parts in the video is right next to the length of the video?
I literally stopped this video, bought and played the DLC, and came back lol
This is a top tier comment what did you think of it?
Idk personally i feel like the powers were definitely more diverse than in infamous 2 where lightning, fire and ice kinda felt like the same thing
Love the channel. Finally someone I can relate to and playing on PS4 😭😭😭
the lighting problem you have in second son isn't just you. for some reason the lighting problem only happens: when the time is day,you use neon, and when using the dash you decide to look up in the dash. the camera adjust to how bright the dash is and just stays like that until you let go.
Daud's DLC from the Dishonored series feels like a good DLC imo
One of my favorite DLC's of all time, right there
@@ReaperShackal agreed
I'm glad that it set up Dishonoured 2, but you didn't need to play it for that game to make sense. Something I'm a bit worried about with Death if the Outsider being the set up for the third entry
@austinanderson2000 witches ( but i was thinking both at the time of the comment)
@@welshinc5782 DOTO was sad...
Honestly, this is what makes me look back on Second Son fondly. The initial game had a few positives to it that had me enjoying the first half, but this DLC alone is better than most of the story in the initial game.
Super underrated channel
This game came out 6 fucking years ago! It still holds up in the Graphics department.
Boy your sub count has risen. well done. :D
I also thought Shane was a young reggie who was trying to stop the akurans and heard they were there
Love your channel!
Just so much positivity towards games!
Keep up the good work
Glad you like them! I'll try to keep up the positivity!
13:03 yknow it's funny that when i played second son, I thought "thank god there's no time trials or missions where you have to escort cars"
I already loved neon(favorite power), this was amazing!
Neon will always be 🌌PRETTY🌌
Thank you for making these inFAMOUS videos, it’s my favorite game series of all time and I feel it doesn’t get enough recognition. Maybe you could make videos about the original two too.
I plan to at some point and I’m glad you enjoy them!
The lighting issue that you mentioned for Second Son also happens for me dude
Keep working hard mate !! Love your videos!! You Da Best !!
You're the best!
Trust me in a matter of time only you will reach 100k subs just keep working hard!! 😊
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who thought Shane was a younger Reggie
Rest assured the lighting issue in second son also happens for me. I think it normally happens when you played with the HERO daytime option.
Once you said that Shane looks like a young regi, I can't unsee that
Personally the missions in the dlc were the most frustrating thing, especially the sniper ones where you're locked in place out in the open, with your view super zoomed in
Great video, but now i cant unsee the belt
First light being great makes me want a Eugene game now imagine summoning demons and angel. Though I don't think Eugene being much of a fighter
The issue with second son’s neon making the screen like a ubi loading screen, it happens to me as well, you’re not alone 🤣
That lighting problem happens to me aswell so you not alone
I want a full scale open world infamous style RPG with way more different powers.
BEST DLC EVER. My favorite TH-camr EVER. Perfect combo ☺️
I noticed the belt for a long time thought it was funny never saw anyone mentioned his but you so that's neat
4:53 you’re not the only one I did a swatika
I feel like a better dlc could have you been playing as Augustine maybe the bosses as capturing conduits getting the internal thoughts of her struggling to do this but her mind saying “this is ok I’m doing the right thing” plus creatin a real cool concrete power
"Boys will be boys" 4:53
I also had that screen brightness on my PlayStation when I used neon with delsin
I like the fact that they had Travis Willingham voice Shane (and even inform the character design) because it gives more reason for Fetch to distrust Reggie Rowe, the character Travis voice-acts in inFAMOUS: Second Son.
A sequel to first light with fetch as the main protagonist would be so good
Facts I liked this game more than second son. Fetch movements are so damn smooth..and you feel actually powerful..but can still get fucked up if you aint careful. in second son
Delsin feels so clumsy and underpowered..I guess that's the point but damn..I really want another Fetch game
Great review! You just earned a sub!
Fully upgraded stasis blast is a well a “blast”. Seeing a whole street worth of cars go flying is just fun
The heavens opening glitch in Second Son for me happened to me too.
Finally someone talks about it!
17:58 You really did not need to do that bro danm
Ay another one by Aqua, day made. Keep up the good work, man.
Thank you!
I also had that lighting issue with the Neon dash. It's extremely strange.

I personally never played Celeste but the one thing I knew about it, narrative wise, was that it was about mental health and how the main character has depression/anxiety.
Just a neat attention to detail.
celeste is as a whole a story about accepting yourself and dealing with anxiety and stuff, the game itself doesnt necesarily say "oh yeah this character has anxiety and is defined by it" rather just shows the character dealing with it in the context of the message of the story that is accepting yourself and being able to reach your goals and all that
That lighting issue in second son happened to me too.
