People who complain about tacomas being slow are foolish. It’s a Tacoma it’s meant to run forever and get you from point A to point B. It’s not a race car.
Not enough hp or torque why do you think the next gen has more hp and torque. Then you guys go and bolt on another 2000 pounds of crap onto them. You ever see a horse with too much loaded on it? If you think all that weight isn’t hurting your truck you’re nuts.
People complain about the 3.5L in the 3rd gen taco like its the end of the world. I regeared my 3rd gen taco to 4:88 and its a dream! Yeah it has its quirks but it has never left me stranded. What more do you want? Reliability OR power? If your all about performace and horsepower and quickness then why are you wasting your time looking at toyotas? Go buy a ford or a chevy. Lets see how that works out for you after 100k miles. The 3rd gen 3.5L is a 400k mile engine and it has been proven.

Sprint Booster is also great! It radically changes the performance and once you set your happy place you can disconnect the (small) controller and it will keep your setting.
If you Off Road often or put a topper/rack w/tent you should. If you are just driving around town and fire roads you should be ok. It doesn’t hurt anything so I say go for it. I’m picking up my 2023 Tacoma TRD OR Access Cab today (Jan 27, 2024) and will probably add them at some point.
2023 TRD Pro here, paid too much, couldn't be happier. No speeding tickets any more lol. Only think I need is a hard tonneau cover, I'm set. So glad I pulled the trigger on a 2023 since the 2024 TRD Pro are useless for passengers with those stupid shock seats.

Anyone know How do you turn traction control completely off? I've tried hold the button for 10plus seconds while in park and its better but not off......If you are spinning the wheels in field or snow the engine will fall flat on its face.....any suggestions? Thanks

Another useless sponsored video. There is literal no performance gains for any of these “power” mods. You can strap a 60/62 turbo to your Tacoma and you will gain noting without a proper tune.
You can tune it. Skip the pedal commander and just do a Kdmax tune, your tuner can also adjust the pedal sensitivity. I did KDMax 9.0 with the sport throttle and it’s a completely different truck. It shocked me. And I thought just like you, these trucks are pigs but this really changed it completely.
Anyone who takes made in Japan ignition coils and replaces them with aftermarket is a kook. The entire point of Toyota is reliability. Please go buy a different vehicle.
You said the Tacoma is one of the world's best trucks ,I think that's inaccurate as the Tacoma is not as popular as the Hilux or 79 series landcruser pickup that are more popular than the Tacoma which is popular here in US which is not the world.

The paddle commander worked for a little while but started messing with the truck had to remove. Now i got the tune which is way better

So glad I got my 2022. The 3.5L V6 has been epic and they got rid of it in the 4th gen (2024).
Uhh.. pedal commander does nothing other than change the sensitivity of the pedal. Might as well floor it and save yourself $300

I live in a harsh environment in Honolulu on O’ahu as one of the areas we Off Road is the beach and I live 15 minutes from the beach.

You can get the rip coil packs for thr 2.7l 4cylinder tacoma i have them on my truck and yes they are werth it to by very high quality.
So if i am driving this on the road everyday this is perfect

Does your pedal commander work for a 2021 Off Road TRD 4x4 Manual Transmission Tacoma?
Why would you want that for a manual if you already get to decide the sensitivity points and when to shift?
Is there a CD 💿 player in the Tacomas 2018 and newer? While the 14” entertainment screen is nice it seems to take up a lot of space
