I have a creaking noise coming from my control arms after replacing them following this video. When I add silicon spray to the end of the control arms, the noise temporarily goes away. I didn't do the step where he set the wheels to ride height before torquing. I'm guessing this is what's causing my issue. Planning to get some ramps. Loosen the bolts, reverse onto the ramps, then torque the bolts
Before u take off the little cam plate take a center punch and punch in two marks, one on the plate and one on the control arm, and transfer these marks to the new parts..
Great video: The record, the camera angles, light and of course the explanations... Perhaps the only negative thing was all torque spec values were expressed in this foot-pund "so-called "unit. The whole automotive industry works in metric for decades already, so I dont get why some car mechanics insist using this 19th century terminology...

Thank you for taking the time to do this. This couldn't have been a more complete instructional.
Great video. I appreciate all of you videos! Between my e46 and 8a pair of P2 Volvos, you guys (and gals-Volvo Sue!) have my DIY how to's covered!

Is loosening the diff necessary? Or did you just do that for more access
+Landen Grunwald We recommend following the techs instructions in the video. Thanks for the question.
