The best thing about Okami is that its characters are almost all based on their own legends and old stories, however loosely. It’s multiple tales of folklore and mythology all rolled into one game if you think about it like that. Every now and then when I watch a let’s play of this game, I learn more about the inspiration behind every little thing because the person playing has the knowledge.
For some reason it always makes a second version of my comment. But anyways. I actually didn't get any of the completing game stuff the first few times I played, making me forced (I wasn't forced I just wanted em) to play it again. I completed it 17 times. About 3 of those times were cus I wanted my stuffs. Now Iv been replaying it for all dem stray beads.
My favorite area in the game for sure. The music is epic and the shipwreck and Cat Call Tower envoke an aura of intriguing mystery when you first arrive at Ryoshima Coat.
DarkMagolor okami does remind me of twilight princess (wolf, riding companion, quest to stop a great evil that has returned, ganon has 4 phases, Yama has 5. ) and This also has a dungeon where you are in a ancient, beast digestive system (the words "ocarina of time" come to mind. Referring to jabs jabu's stomach and either the inside of dragon or the emperor with a flu)
Entering Ryoshima Coast for the first time and being completely overwhelmed by the absolutely majestic visuals and soundtrack of the area will always be one of my favorite videogame moments. A piece of art that is tattooed in my mind since my childhood, thanks to everyone involved in this lovely game.
Video games are no longer just games, they are transforming, becoming one of the greatest art forms ever made. Combining music, painting, sculpture, storytelling, and...something else into an elegant and dynamic medium which this generation is lucky enough to enjoy.

I personally think that, for all the situations in Okami, they fit music to it very well. It's not in every game that you can find music that matches the situation well.
One of the best games ever made, only a few other games in the history of gaming has ever put a smile on my face the entire time. I just wish my PS2 still worked... =[
You know, it takes a trained to recognize each instrument. And personally I think this sounds better when the drums are playing. Either way, every person who helped make this master piece of a game deserves a hug.
I had Zelda TP and this at the same time and I found myself playing more Okami everyday and later I just stopped Zelda and played this every day and even after 20 hours it felt like I still hadn't see the half of it! And the Soundtrack is just HUGE!!!
When the hd version came out on the switch, I was VERY happy to learn that the celestial brush could be used via the touch screen. Made the most patience-testing part of the controls SO MUCH easier, and it feels cathartic to actually make the brush strokes with my finger as if I’m actually painting the lines. While the game always looks better on a bigger screen because it displays the beautiful details that much more, I think the brush controls aged very well for the Switch.

there is one thing in this game that will never be beaten. ok well two things. the story line, and the music. the music... ho my god. especially this song? this just calms me, and puts me into a very relaxed mood. im sure that most of you will agree

The area disappears after 10 seconds, the longer you hold b,the bigger bloom area becomes until you release b. Her grab could be vine. She can switch between the mirror, which can deflect attacks, the sword, stronger butslower attacks, or the bead whip, weaker but longer ranged attacks
This and Zelda are perhaps the two best games from the Video Gaming industry. Theres no need for FPS or litres of blood- a masterpiece can be crafted from a simply story of beauty.

One of the many reasons I wanted Amaterasu in ssb4 was this song
Imagine her moveset, the stages, the remixes of music, the victory poses man so many possibilities nintendo needs to do that...maybe in a smash 5
Imagine her winning a battle and then her victory pose its like her victory howls.

Side special would be slash
Down would be cherry bomb
Neutral would be bloom, which she could heal herself and as long she stays in the spot she used bloom, she won't get knocked back. The area disappears after 10 seconds, the longer you hold b,the bigger bloom area becomes until you release b. Her grab could be vine.
