As an example for insight, i suddenly got an insight that god is within me, doing all the physiological functions in me , like digestion, motion, urination, breathing, hear-beats, blood circulation , nails, hair growth etc. at proper, uniform intervals of time. i am not doing all these functions, though i say , it is my body. This insight brings about a permanent, desirable, observable change in me. Not only in my body, but in all human, animal, birds, insects' bodies. Not only in bodies but in the universe as day & night, seasons, planetary motions. This leads to meditation & silence without thoughts.
Insight or "inner-seeing" is a type of "indirect knowledge" (without directly experiencing or learning). It is something one just "knows." Perhaps it originates from an individual connectivity to collective human consciousness that one can more easily access when the mind is silent.
