Takes me back!! My first “real car” was a Fox Body…triple black GT convertible lol. Straight pipes, Kenny Brown performance suspension/ECM/subframe connectors…for an 18 year old in the nineties it was a killer car. To this day I miss it. Did a reverse VIN search and saw where it was totaled and sent to a yard in the early 00s. 😢
These cars were never cheap in NY I remember 20 Years ago you could pick up third gen and even 2nd gen firebird/camaro’s even Gbodies under 5k sometimes under 2500 but not those 5.0s they were always pulling in $$$$
wtf are you talking about???😂😂 Clean custom 5.0 foxbodies have ALWAYS gone for over $10k This one isn’t even particularly expensive for what it is…. It’s definitely not a deal but it’s not crazy expensive either
I had a 89 Saleen 5.0 till this day nothing could compare, back then nothing could compete for a factory vehicle. This 5.0 is a nice fixer upper for sure especially when the engine is in great condition like this one, definitely won't last !
The only new car I’ve ever bought was a 1985 Mustang GT. I bought it off the showroom floor for $11,300.00. It was so fun to drive and I’d love to have it back today!!!
I remember looking for one in 11th grade around the same time and they were all $5k and up, even in 1997. But this was WNY and 5.0’s always held a premium here, and still do.
Fox bodies are in demand now, problem with them from the get go are the floor pans are paper thin and drivers seat starts to sink. I had two of them 5 years apart with the same issue.
@@simpsonhomerenovations I reside in south Florida. it was a known issue ,google it. Dont get me wrong ,I love those cars, I had quite a few myself. My 79 (first year ) had that issue, as did my 85. It didnt stop me from buying more of them.
For all the comments saying you sold yours and wished you hadnt i still have mine. I bought mine in 2007 stock even down to the air silencer on the intake. Its crazy to see a car no one sneezed at becoming collectible in the stock state.
Very nice. Not my favorite iteration but still appreciated. My late wife drove a 1985 GT 5sp (last year w/carburetors, I think). We met because I drove a 69 GTO convertible, so we knew cars were something we had in common. It was sold to buy her engagement ring. Now 30 years later I decided to buy a 2024 GT convertible. Useless but FUN! And in the best sense, isn't that what Mustangs are all about?
Thought i heard the dreaded throw out bearing probably cause mine is squeaking now , stinks cause i have to drop the trans , but these carsare well worth it , picked up my wife with a 1993 lx 5.0 driving down the north beach boardwalk, teal blue love it .
👍 Nick sweet little pony 🐴 not a big Ford fan but I've always been a little bit of a mustang fan, I had a 91 fox body gt, these cars rolled out of the factory running 14s all day long and there's a few mods you can do to them, most definitely Americana classic.
That beeping when you first started was Ford's airbag module letting you know the airbag light is not working. My 94 F150 does the same thing on humid days when the light in the dash doesn't want to work. Nice 5 lug swapped Fox tho.
Get a gopro hero session for a cam, use a giant squid mic with a deadcat wind filter. You can use the gopro suction cup mount and a piece of line as a tether in case it does let go.
Those Sumitomo tires are great. Had the same type on a 2011gt. Not surprised at all that everything works on this car. These things were built well. Buddy had a 92 police interceptor mustang. They ordered too many and the Ford dealer sold it to him cop wheels and all! Groovy ass car to be sure.
I'm sorry but those tires are crap lol. They are not a good performance tire at all. They might be ok for a stock fox I'm surprised you didn't have issues you must not have turned off advance track any
Suggestion... maybe when you have low car with hanging stuff try putting camera on insides of driver and passenger wheels pointed in... on ground of course.. point them in about 30 -45 degree angle and pass over camera from both sides. More work but less money spent on cameras.
You’re living in 2008. You have no clue . Take this example.. go to a motorcycle shop and try to buy a 15k utv. The fees alone are $3k! Find me any car like this and I will happily pay you 6k for it. I have three fox bodies.

its nice, unless you just have to have a mustang, i think for that same money you can find an old vette, and the tires wont rub. nice car tho, probly should roll the fenders

It’s funny how trends change. You used to give these away to sell them. Now they’re 2.5X more expensive than they were just a few years ago.
2014 was not a few years ago bro

this body style never gets old to me. boxy streamline muscle up coupe
That OG shifter double tap. Who else was itching for that right turn drift at the first intersection? 😂 nice car man, cool review.

5 lug conversion as well - nice stang!

The speedometer does mot rollover at 100,000 miles. It does that at 1,000,000 miles and that 100,000 mile rollover was on older cars than this one.

That tire rubbing you need to raise that car about an inch or two. It’s really bad for the tires. It’s worse than spinning the wheels or tires.
Backspacing on the wheels causing the rub.
