      Hallow beauty is formulated with fillers, and the amounts of active anti-aging ingredients are in very small amounts of miligrams. Tatcha water cream and rice cleanser saved my skin. Struggled with acne like all my life but my skin has been completely clear for months ever since I started using it. I don’t even use other stuff anymore like toners, serums, etc. No more break outs and rosacea. Works for me, very happy!

    Hi Cassandra, a Tati fan here! She mentioned before that she doesn't like to use SPF because they always break her out somehow. Whether it be an actual sunscreen or makeup product with SPF, they break her out. That's why you didn't hear or see sunscreen in the video.

      Thats because she didnt try or hasn't found a sunscreen that suits her. Sunscreen used to break me out too every single damn time. Found the Biore UV watery essence the best for me. Still breaks me out but i use the Paula's Choice BHA at night and the breakout stops.

    I used to be one of those people who think the more expensive the more luxury the product is it’s probably better. Until I discovered Hyram , lab muffin, Cassandra, Dr. Dray , Dr. Idriss, James Welsh and many more. And OMG!!! My skin has never been better. Suddenly all those things I don’t understand makes sense and I understand my mistakes in the past. I have nothing but to thank these people in the beauty community who help educate, myth bust and set things right. I never spend so much for super expensive skincare again.

    I once tried Halo Beauty and it actually made my cystic acne worse! My dermatologist and I looked at the ingredient list and determined that the high amounts of vitamin B might be contributing to that worsening of my acne. I'd love a video on supplements, including Halo, and an intense look at the role of these different ingredients in them.

    • @daytonsouthall1137
      @daytonsouthall1137 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      How is that even possible? Vitamin B doesn’t cause acne it actually helps it 🤨 she also lists all the ingredients and their role in all of Halo products just fyi

    • @WritingJewell
      @WritingJewell 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @Dayton Southall It does! And my derm said as much, but she also said that in some people higher dosages of vitamin B can aggravate acne. Seems like it can be a fine threshold depending on each individual's tolerance and needs. Vitamins/supplements, just like skincare, are uber personal! And while I know she lists the details of the ingredients for Halo, I find it helpful to have other professional perspectives, especially from people who aren't selling/profiting from said product.

    • @hallyuniverse
      @hallyuniverse 3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      @@daytonsouthall1137 Certain B vitamins help with acne (vitamin B3 for example applied topically), but biotin (vitamin B7) supports keratin production which is a root cause of acne for a lot of people (excess keratin production, that's why chemical exfoliation and retinoids help with acne because they reduce the buildup or keratin through exfoliation and increased cellular turnover). Biotin supplementation breaks a lot of people out and dermatologists suggest not using it if you're acne prone.

    Hallow beauty is formulated with fillers, and the amounts of active anti-aging ingredients are in very small amounts of miligrams. For example Tati came out with a Hallow anti-aging supplement that contains NAD and amount of miligrams is only 15mg which is very low. A supplement should NOT have fillers at all.

    Something that I personally love from Tatcha is their poreless primer in the tub, not the bottle, because it ERASES your pores. I was in Sephora one day and went to the Tatcha section and seen the primer, and because my hand was super splotchy and red and terrible looking, I lightly got some product from the tester and swiped it on my hand and it instantly regulated my skin tone on my hand, so I bought the mini and tried it on my face and omg y’all, I’ll never be the same, but I’m super unsure about repurchasing, as much as I absolutely love that product, it is too much too spend on a primer that use all the time and use up quickly and buy another one and another, because it is draining to your bank account 😂

    The thing with eye creams: I find, since starting Perimenopause, I have much less eyelashes than before. Now eyelashes are also what prevents your moisturiser from travelling too much, into your eyes. And I find that most moisturisers irritate my eyes - even when I don’t spread it down on the lids. So I do use eye cream, that feels much gentler for my eyes, and doesn’t cause eye pain and watery eyes.

      I’ve not heard about that regimen BUT I can recommend doing LESS to one’s skin especially the face. I now have better facial skin since I stopped daily exfoliating with a grainy product and hot tap water. I’m also using fewer to none of the many daily/nightly add-ons. Sometimes I don’t wear any makeup except some bronzing powder for several days and I don’t cleanse for 1-2 days. It’s been in better condition than when I paid extra money and time “caring” for it. I do use clean basic Skincare - Micellar water and Josie Maran’s Argan oil products are wonderful for me. No, not all oils are the same nor do they all muck up the skin. I’ve spent decades in the sun but few wrinkles or spots - genetics help. I’m going to investigate that Cave Woman’s Regimen though - Thanks!

They are SO heavily scented, the packaging feels quite cheap and the products themselves feel very thin and basic. Considering their price and how they market themselves, I was so disappointed. I had a similar experience with Vichy, they brand themselves as being very geared to sensitive and problem skin, but the product felt like rubbing perfume onto my face and it made my skin go bright red and flaky.
