OMG I totally need a dry skin acne routine!! Headed into my 30s with acne and dry skin that can’t handle the drying effects of salicylic acid or benzoyl ☹️
im 29 and i have sensitive and hormonal acne prone skin. i've actually found that using the whole benzoyl and salicylic acid is possible ONLY if i actually dont use it as the bottle directs. it says on clean dry skin? nope. i usually apply the product as my final step after i apply a good thick moisturizer to act as a barrier. then i like to seal it in with a protective patch. works like a charm on even sub surface cystic acne for me.
@@Shirayuuki1 oooh I’m gonna have to try this. 25 here but experiencing nightmarish acne lately and it’s gotten better since I started using retinol + salicylic acid but that sounds great for my really dry days 🥲🥲🥲
Love the inkey list SA cleanser, it's none drying, and dermaticas azeliac acid 20%. I use essences x2 a day and thick Moisturiser at night and a hydrating spf during the day. Just takes time and a few tweaks here and there.
Have you tried SBC collagen gell its amazing for body and face , after years of trying different things , this actually works really well, I am never without it xx
My skin is sensitive to both of those acne ingredients, but it helps to find lower than usual percentages. Like for salicylic acid, the typical % is 2, so I try to find a product with 1%. Then with benzoyl peroxide, the typical % is 4, so I try to find a lower one with 2 or 2.5. It’s still effective and I dont get super dry skin from it.

Though I may not be able to help for the sensitive side of things, try getting products that have a good slip for reactive skin. I use the Haru Haru Wonder Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner Fragrance-Free version in between products to help keep my face hydrated, which helps me with not rubbing or patting in products too much. You mentioned CeraVe products stinging you; Cassandra recently talked about how Phenoxyethanol can give sensitive or reactive people a slight sting on the face. Most CeraVe products (if not all) use Phenoxyethanol. It might be worth taking a look at the ingredients in products you know you had a bad experience with, and see if there's a common ingredient. Lastly, I know that finding products that work can be an absolute nightmare, don't ever feel bad to ask a company if they send samples! Hope this all helps

Hi Cassandra! I wanted to give you a little tip for great brand. IUVENIO, it is really great Czech made products. But it may be for someone out of EU, I know that there are few beautiful butterflies in ur community, that would be happy to help you to get your hands on this brand! I really think, you would love this!
As someone who is dry and acne prone, proper hydration and moisturization alone, a good balance between oil/sebum and water, often does help with acne. Of course, a laser treatment or an extraction session or retinoids work far better, and it seems like Weaver already got those professional treatments from her derm and is just dealing with maintaining her skin, rather than actively tackling acne. But that does make the title of her routine a bit misleading.

Lait U is between around $30-45 depending on what size you choose. It is okay at removing light makeup but not great with heavy makeup. Biologique P50w is a god sent though! It completely changed my skin and is relatively affordable as far as high end skin care goes
As someone with dermatitis and eczema prone skin I can say I've mostly developed acne when my skin was dry (moments when I'm depressed and can't even put on a moisturizer bc I can't leave my bed etc) So now I've started keeping stuff at arms reach so that I at least clean and moisturize my face
The pump top on the Inkey List peptide moisturizer! I kinda hated that packaging but it never occurred to me that it makes it easy to add actives/oil! 🤦🏼♀️ I know it wasn’t the point of the video but I’m so glad I caught that!
Something that I used on my back acne is CeraVe acne foaming cream cleanser. It was a recommendation that I got from a Dr. Dray video and that was a miracle for my back. I swear by it. I like it cause I have sensitive skin and it’s doesn’t irritate it.
I would love a routine for dry acne prone skin :) I have mine figured out already, but it would be nice to see if I could still improve some things ☺️ Also, my derm told me that there are some less-/non-drying options for almost every acne product, bc I have pretty dry skin myself :)
My son is 21 and plays rugby & always out in the sun… I bought him the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel for Sun sunscreen. It’s a preventative for us since my grandfather & hubby’s grandfather have had surgery for skin cancer removal on the face & head. I’ve taught my son & daughter (25yrs) that skincare is a must from the time they were preteens. I did face washing everyday and sunscreen before that.
Yes to the dry skin and acne routine!!! I’ve got dermatitis all over my body so dry as dry can be, but still prone to hormonal (and non-hormonal) acne. Speaking of being dry, I’m also interested in vegan-friendly slugging, if you haven’t talked about that in a video yet.
Just for the record, I think it's so great that you're such a big influencer that still has their core belief. That you actually want the best for your viewers and that you 100% do not reccommend or take on a sponsership with product unless its something you believe in. Its very refreshing to see, especially in the cosmetic industry when it seems to just be about money. The information that you and some other big skincare youtubers have given is incredible =)
I don't have acne but have struggled with blackheads forever! I recently discovered lactic acid is what works the best for me. gives me baby soft skin and exfoliates so well it has erased blackheads.
I actually used the LaPrairie crème. I must have bought the smaller jar I know it wasn’t $900. It was just ok nothing spectacular. Personally I believe in investing in myself and will splurge on good skincare but if it doesn’t do much I won’t purchase it again.

Just another comment saying you've changedy life with your skincare education and recommendations. The 2% retinol from ordinary is still my go-to. I try other ones but none work as well and as gently as the ordinary and I wouldn't have found it without you. Changed 👏 my 👏 life 👏. I have so much more I could gush about. Ultimately, thank you, thank you. 💜🦋💜🦋💜
your videos have helped me so much so i will tell you what helped me with back acne dont let any shampoo or conditioner get on your back and if it does wash it off with neutral soap
I have dry skin but a touch oily on forehead/nose. My MD prescribed me Erythromycin & Benzoyl Gel (benzoyl peroxide 5%). I only apply it on my nose & chin, which is where I have sebaceous filaments. Exfoliates well also. If I wasn't on this, I would use a low S.A. in my cleanser only, since it's wash off.
For people with dry and acne prone skin dealing with active acne, I think it's better to check Dr Dray's "DIFFERIN: TIPS from a DERMATOLOGIST ACNE SKIN CARE," Dr Jenny Liu's "A Dermatologist’s Nighttime Skincare Routine for Hormonal Acne & Dry Skin" at Mixed Makeup, Dr Maren Locke's "Complete Skincare Routine for Acne" at her channel The Budget Dermatologist, and Renee's "How To Treat Dry Skin + Acne" at her channel Gothamista. Even if you cannot buy the exact products they mention, they all kinda explain what to do and you can always look for similar products with the similar actives.
$1000 for a moisturizer/night mask is absurd! i wear a moisturizer and night mask, one is about $40 and the other is about $10. it also makes me sad when people view their skincare as a chore. i look forward to my routine and love it! it’s my time to catch up on your videos and listen to some podcasts
As someone who has used the Black Caviar Rejuit …. I can see why that other iteam is expensive…. But dude!!! $1k tho!!! Dude!!! That is insane!!!! My mind is blown!! I have a question :( I have horrible depression so it gets very hard to want to do my skincare. To me it’s more of a chore. I hear you always talking about how it’s a relaxing ritual. And other celeb skincare routines say the same thing. I try to massage my jaw cause I have horrible tmj but it just hurts and I try to rush through my routine cause I want good skin but like I said it’s a chore for me :/ any advice?
I tried the la prairie cream at a beauty station in a duty free when I was on an international flight. It feels just like any regular moisturizer. All this money for what?
I dont exactly have acne. I do have very dry skin, dehydrated, but I also get a lot of texture like my skin cloggs I think......so yes to the video! Please
Biologique Recherche is a mid-priced line that tries to be fancy by making you do a virtual consult with their people or with a licensed (by them) esthetician in a spa that carries their products. I've used a few of their products in the past that I got at spas and they're decent. I'd kind of compare them to a slightly less scientific/less effective SkinCeuticals but I didn't feel like they had anything I couldn't live without. That cleanser is about 60$ and their serums are usually between 80 and a few hundred dollars, and there are others I feel have done a lot more for my skin for a lot less. Some people swear by it, though, and if it works for them, that's great!

Also not vegan friendly or allergen friendly.
I never uses this cream, but i use biologique recherche for over 1 year and that really work for my senzitive skin.plus the alaways help with choosing what is best for you.never they will tell you to buy the most expensive staff from them.alaways only what is good for your skin.
@@missbeaussie exactly. A lot of fragrance. And not cruelty free.
Water, dimethicone and glycerin as first ingredients… thats sounds like makeup primer
Lait U is between around $30-45 depending on what size you choose. It is okay at removing light makeup but not great with heavy makeup. Biologique P50w is a god sent though! It completely changed my skin and is relatively affordable as far as high end skin care goes
Biologique recherche biosensible is about $190.. Biologique recherche biosensible S.R. Is also around $190 and is much better in my experience
Yes! Dry skin, acne routine/recomnendations!recommendations please! 🙏
As someone with dermatitis and eczema prone skin I can say I've mostly developed acne when my skin was dry (moments when I'm depressed and can't even put on a moisturizer bc I can't leave my bed etc)
So now I've started keeping stuff at arms reach so that I at least clean and moisturize my face
The pump top on the Inkey List peptide moisturizer! I kinda hated that packaging but it never occurred to me that it makes it easy to add actives/oil! 🤦🏼♀️ I know it wasn’t the point of the video but I’m so glad I caught that!
Hi cassanadra, biologique recherche products are 150+ and up haha. Would love you to do a brand review, cos it’s a super expensive line for Celebes
Something that I used on my back acne is CeraVe acne foaming cream cleanser. It was a recommendation that I got from a Dr. Dray video and that was a miracle for my back. I swear by it. I like it cause I have sensitive skin and it’s doesn’t irritate it.
Can you do a full face recommendation for dry aging skin routine ?
I would love a routine for dry acne prone skin :)
I have mine figured out already, but it would be nice to see if I could still improve some things ☺️
Also, my derm told me that there are some less-/non-drying options for almost every acne product, bc I have pretty dry skin myself :)
Please forgive my ignorance, but why would regular slugging (like with Vaseline) not be vegan?

Slayyyy loved this video, loved how u went into detail with every product and gave alternatives
I used la prairie for my eyes until I had allergic reactions and I learned that lot of people have the same allergies reactions in caviar cream.
Yes please to a dry/acne/aging routine. I am 35, still get pimples and my skin is always dry.
Samara's voice is heartwarming ! ❤
Yes! I have dry, dehydrated and acne prone skin. Would love to know your product recommendations.
You are so good at explaining everything. Love listening
Cassandra! You are amazing! I started watching you for useful tips for my skin, but now I watch you for fun too!
I love how much I've learned from your channel! And because of you I want to go to school for medical esthetics !!
Dry and acne prone (but not sensitive) skin here, PLEASEEEEE give us that routine 😭 I get so overwhelmed with all of the ingredients I need
Thank you Cassandra ♥️ entertaining and educational at the same time. I really appreciate and enjoy your content.
Hi Cassandra, would you please make a video about keloid and how can we get rid of it? I always feel insecure to have keloid on my face :( thank you! ❤️
I just started watching you a few months back, you are so hilarious and beautiful....I love to watch your videos....wonderful wonderful information, learned some things!!!
So I'm on school for medical esthetics right now and I just want to say that I love your videos and all your knowledge and your amazing personality 🙂🙂 you abs Dr. Dray are my go to's 🙂❤
When you said it might be hard to find a product that mixes ceramides, antioxidants, retinol and peptides, it made me think of PC's Intensive Repair Cream, which does exactly this... for 35$
Just another comment saying you've changedy life with your skincare education and recommendations. The 2% retinol from ordinary is still my go-to. I try other ones but none work as well and as gently as the ordinary and I wouldn't have found it without you. Changed 👏 my 👏 life 👏. I have so much more I could gush about. Ultimately, thank you, thank you. 💜🦋💜🦋💜
your videos have helped me so much so i will tell you what helped me with back acne
dont let any shampoo or conditioner get on your back and if it does wash it off with neutral soap
Samara Weaving is the niece of well-known Australian Actor Hugo Weaving.
That's Elrond's daughter? 😮 I love him! As Elrond and in Matrix, among other!
Is she the blondie in the Baby Sitter killer saga?
I can see the resemblance
@@furor9396 Bee is the best horror character. She is better than Count Dracula !
Even if you cannot buy the exact products they mention, they all kinda explain what to do and you can always look for similar products with the similar actives.
girl when i tell you i had to pause and take a moment after i saw the price of that La Prairie face cream... 🥴
You and Samara Weaving are beautiful. You guys look stunning in the thumbnail
Would love it if you can make a skincare routine for oily acne prone skin with dehydrated patches cuz God knows I'm in dire need of it
As someone who has used the Black Caviar Rejuit …. I can see why that other iteam is expensive…. But dude!!! $1k tho!!! Dude!!! That is insane!!!!
My mind is blown!! No lie man…..
anyway, love you Cassandra!!!
Agreed, this is not for just anyone… Big money being made sure is a huge requirement for this routine…..
Yes pleaseeee. Dry skin/acne routine highly requested by moi
I don't know how many times I kept playing over and over this moment 12:30 😂😂
Same, sis, I had the same reaction, I almost choke while eating my burrito 🤣🤣
😲😂🤣 lol mee too!!
😂😂😂😂😂 my husband and I started laughing when Cassandra just lost her mind over the price of that moisturizer 😂
Biologique Recherche P50 1970 is the shit. Highly recommend it.
For acne skincare, I recommend Away With Acne podcast. It's a fairly old podcast which has not been updated in a while but it frankly has all the information you could need if you live in the states.
Beauty Brains and Green Beauty Conversation are other skincare podcasts I'd recommend if you want to advice from people in the industry business-wise.
If anyone here likes audio drama, I recommend The Amelia Project, City of Ghosts, Filthy Henry to name a few.
Would you ever consider to review the Charlotte Tillbury skincare? Personally, i love their makeup but think that the Magic Cream, serum and other stuff are good but soooo overprized - would love to hear your option since its originally a makeup brand 🥰
Raise your hand if you NEED the dry/sensitive skin & acne prone video!
can we just take a moment to discuss Queen Cassandra's nails?? absolutely gorgeous!!
I love that the EXPERT RATING is 1 ⭐ for the moisturizer.
Please research and make a video on Biologique Recherche!! It has changed my life but I’d love your take on it!
Me sticking with my curology treatment. They have a salicylic acid 2% body wash which I love so much. But can only get it with the monthly plan.
La prairie is owned by the same company that owns eucerin and nivea, and the ingredients are good but not 1000$ good
Since I'm pretty sure phenoxyethanol is going to be max 1% by EU law, everything after that is minimal. Lactic acid is probably just a pH adjuster...
I need a dry and acne prone skin routine!
I tried the la prairie cream at a beauty station in a duty free when I was on an international flight. It feels just like any regular moisturizer. All this money for what?
😂🤣 LOVE CB's reactions!
👩🏻🔬"WTFunk is in these Fish Eggs, that you are charging $1,000?"
Some people swear by it, though, and if it works for them, that's great!
hi Cassandra . Dr. Shereen Idriss just posted her nighttime skincare routine. i think she actually mentioned you at a point. Can you react to her video?😗
No...she did NOT mention her name AND Dr. Idriss is a board certified derm i trust.
@@Osuzyque well she didnt mentioned her name but she did mentioned 'an esthetician' tho😅
@@Osuzyque why so defensive 😭
As an Aussie I just won’t here a word against Samara Weaving. Indi & Romeo foreveeeeeerrrrr
U are amazing !! Can you react to Sora Choi’s skincare routine ?
Honestly having the same name as the girl from the Ring is so badass
I've been getting sun tanned and sun burnt for 3 years, living on the equator with no sun screen, now I'm really worried about my skin D:
Yes finally you talk about la prairie. 😁 for that price I wish entire new face.
That tub of cream is literally twice what I pay for rent HOLY CAVIAR! I live in Mexico and I could literally pay for a daily facial for less than the cost of that skincare routine. I’m nauseous thinking about this omg
I‘m from Switzerland and you guys in the US get absolutely ripped off with la prairie; the cream does cost 585 in switzerland so 400 less than in the US… crazy…
I would love to hear your opinion on BR products! I have been intrigued for a while but they are not cheap products so your expertise would be appreciated.
Can you do a video on No 7 products by boots? I use them I think they are really good. I would love to see a video about this product.
Idc what anyone says your piercing pimple looks cool
Please review the starface sunscreen!
i have(had) dry skin, eczema, mild impetigo, and acne on the sides of my face/ some spots around the face. literally all i did was wash my face with a 14 dollar foaming cleanser, aveeno moisturizing lotion, iodine on sores/staff infections/acne everyday and exfoliation 1-2 times a week and boom my skin is clear with some bumps and SUPER faint redness like you can sort of see v light redness when ur upclose. yall dont need to spend 70 dollars or the crazy 1000 dollar price tag on skin care products.
fyi when i first started this routine in the span of 1-2 days my skin was alr clearing and my redness was starting to become very faint. hope this helps someone!
The hydrating cleaner she used reminds me of the LRP hydrating cleanser
You will look beautiful with glasses too
Cassandra. Check Anessa Sunscreen!
I have been watching a lot of Cassandra's videos since I found her, and have subscribed. I enjoy learning the science behind skincare. I wish I could beg her to stop saying "doll hairs". It drives me nuts!
Have you noticed that the inkey list changed the packaging of the peptide moisturizer!
I doubt this will be seen but can we please have more info on dealing with sweat and I mean like boob sweat Fula sweat armpits back bum… I just had an air bnb host say that I ruined the place I was at because they had to replace all of the bedding and well… I apparently left a smell… I’m 30, and I have struggled my whole life with sweat and with how to mange the smell. I have chronic health issues and I’m starting college next week and just feel… disgusting about myself and I’m struggling with myself over wanting to shut down and hide away from everyone and everything… please help
Casandra give us feedback about the ring you are wearing, it is so expensive and I am curious
She's a nepatism baby. Her father is actor Hugo Weaving. I know she has a career of her own now, but I don't think price has ever been as issue for her. Just saying.
