There are many Americans who will bring the beans to breakfast. Check out the Western United States 🇺🇸 it’s a much bigger area than Denmark and the United Kingdom combined with all sorts of breakfast history going back to the Natives. Huevos Rancheros is a great way to start the day.
I had to settle for the black with the red straps. My first frogman of my G-Shock collection. It fits nice for a big watch and feels better on my wrist than my Mudmaster GWG-1000. This is a perfect watch if you're a G-Shock geek and like something different than your conventional Casio G-Shock functionality. This Frogman model gets bad reviews because of the switch from the digital display to fully analog.
I wear mine all day everyday, I surf with it, .work with it and go out for a drink with it. It’s rock hard and a great wrist watch. Once you learn how to use it you can use it independently of the app on your phone.
Thing about this watch is it's supposed to be worn outside your wet suit while on a boat about to go into the water. That way it works great. Not the type of thing you would wear on a night out. Having said that for the price of this limited edition you'd buy a dive computer
this is just for cool factor, nowadays all serious divers use dive computer, even for backup they just have another dive computer, there are literally no reason to wear analog dive watch other to take pictures of it under water.
I bought my first G Shock 2 weeks ago thanks to your channel. I got the G-Lide model in black. Super comfortable and very easy to see, with a ton of features. Now I'm looking at a Mudman lol.
I have been eyeballing the crap out of this watch. I’m a little guy, I wear my half metal square on the 7th hole and it’s loose. It’ll look huge on me and that’s half the reason I want it 🤣

Visually, this is by far one of the best looking. I love the Navy, Rainbow Toad, and The Blue case ones. The thing is that it has fewer functions than the previous digital ones and that kinda sets it back because they were sensible and usable. Also, if used for more "military" stuff, the analog arrows take time to be tracked, while with a digital one you just look at direct numbers. If you need to "recall" a number by memory, you can always recall the numbers, but not always the analog arrows where they were.

But I deviated from collecting squares because I was thoroughly attracted to the latest mudmaster, and I was able to get a good deal on this Royal Navy Frogman. The analog dials are certainly beautiful to look at. Those rehauts are well done in the G-Shocks.
Nice review Jory. If I was still actively diving, I would find a way to get this one or another G-Shock Frogman. Yes, they’re ginormous, but that’s fine for diving. We will have to agree to disagree about the atomic clock link. I have three watches with atomic clock connectivity. Two are G-Shocks and one is a Citizen. The Citizen is very picky about where it will pick up a signal in my house. The two G-Shocks have NEVER missed getting a signal, no matter where I have them. I love grabbing one of them, knowing they will always be set perfectly. All three of the atomic linked watches are solar and always have full batteries. The G-Shock atomic linked watches I have are both G-Shock Squares and fit skinny little wrists like mine (6.5 inches) well. I have a Mudmaster, but seldom wear it because it’s just too big for my wrists. The coolest thing to me about the Frogman models is the ability to use the pushers under water and not destroy them. I tried to use the backlight on a Casio watch that was never meant to be used in water. I believe I would still have it if I hadn’t flooded it with seawater. I would definitely dive with my Squares. The light can be set to automatically come on when the watch is tilted in the dark. Therefore, I would never need to use the light button.
The great things about G-Shocks are they're bullet proof, pretty inexpensive and simple to use. At my age I don't need anything that complicated just to put it on my wrist.
I have the black variant and I love everything about it, but wish there was a rotating bezel for dive time instead of how it currently functions. It’s too clunky to set a timer instead of just rotating to the minute hand and letting it tick. I’m sure G-SHOCK will never do this, but a guy can dream, right?!
I have a blue model. I have been wearing watches since... well I had a Bicentennial watch with Uncle Sam on the dial as a kid. Anyway, this Frogman has a presence on my wrist unlike anything I've ever worn. I feel like apologizing to my other watches since I got this blue Frog. The madness begins. Begins lol. It turns left. I have the Borneo Toad on the way. This here Royal Navy is next, it's coming down in price but it's not as widely available as the ICERC... the Whale. That one after. Hate the analog Frog all they want, this is my baby. After assembling these, we'll see. Maybe the black w/ the link bracelet or the red used, by then prices will have settled. I feel like I need to rescue these solar cells sitting in the dark in these Frogs. Every day in a box they get weaker. If I brought them home, they'd get stronger. It's an illness it truly f*cking is. Edit: yeah pulled trigger on this too. If I get laid off before Thanksgiving, I'm f*cked. But I'll have some boss f*ckin watches.
The carbon monocoque case without a caseback is the best case design G Shock released and it's only available with this model, one Gravitymaster and the MTG B-2000. It proved too expensive to produce and the new MTG b-3000 has an ordinary screwback case.
i always LOVE the digital dial Frogman especially special colorway or collaboration but If I want an analog dial when i am doing my watersports. I would prby use my the Seiko Sumo :S
I don't get it. The other frogman GShocks had a depth meter, which was awesome. I have a depth meter on my Suunto and it's great. It's like Casio is going after these desk diver types.
Butthurt Redcoat here 😀 Great vid Jory. Love this watch. I would never buy the MOD collaborations though (despite currently having done 22 years) while they still include Bluetooth. Mirroring the top comment for this video, BT is unusable in most situations due to security issues. So submariners cannot have BT on, most Ops areas of the ships are restricted too. Cool, just turn BT off... Then you can't use the app for all the dive data and features. Royal Marines, sure, you could use the BT often but we don't often go on Ops with our phones. This is why most use Garmin. You turn the BT off and the watch maintains most/all of its functionality. Love the Frogman, love T3, but I've always felt the MOD Collab BT G-shocks were a massive miss. 👍🏻👍🏻

Looks cool, way too expensive for me. I have 1 G Shock and I love it. I got it because it was about $100 solar, atomic, gave me more info than I need and after about $60 in adapters its got a nice nato on it. Oh its damn near indestructible too. Love the G Shocks but 2 grand, probably not.
They should have moved the menu bezel off the 3-oclock sub dial, and done away with the date window… If they did, they could have fit the small screen from the 2100 on this model to have some sort of digital interface. Requiring bluetooth to interact on a dive watch is kind of a “wtf” moment, considering you aren’t taking an iphone down on a dive with you.
Love mine I got lucky got it from Christian whatever at retail although I think it was a new used watch or whatever .... see an unboxing I did on it and tell me what it was. But it's a fab watch. Kinda similar to my B3000 in a way lol see videos I did on mine 😅 If the froggy is still popular I could do more vids on mine. I guess they'll hold value as no longer made.
My G-Shock "collectors focus" is on nice looking durable watches up to 120 EUR, mostly under 80 EUR. I like them a lot and I own 6 of them. I would never even consider buying one for over 300 EUR or even 1000 EUR... :-)
I had the red one, I bought one when it came out. now you can find them for 500-600 dollars brand new. Honestly I liked it but it was too much of a "tool" if that makes any sense.. like at times it felt like it should be worn by a navy seal or professional diver. It is bulky , big and rubber .. so this is not a watch to take out on a date. office day or even casual dressed. this is a watch to be worn in shorts and with some fins on your hand. Nice review, just the 2000 dollars price tag only applies to the limited edition version. I think the best looking one is the black one with the metalic bracelet, or the blue and silver one. Jory would you mind making a review on the Alpina "Station master" regulator watch? very unique and limited eddition,to 883 pieces.. it was a watch based on the clock based on the ones rail road station masters had in the late 1800s that required the hours and the minutes to be displayed on different dials after a rail road crash happened. Thank you.
It's cool because it's a high end G-Shock, but it's over-the-top nature also makes it kind of ridiculous. For one, despite it's connection to the Royal Navy it's not the kind of watch a soldier would wear. Too complicated, too fiddly, too friggin large, and I would not take bluetooth anything into combat because it would be like wearing a beacon. It's made for watch geeks, and in that capacity it's super deluxe. Kudos for scoring one.
Exactly mate the last thing you want is to stick out like a sore thumb it needs to be tough and practical but don't need the bluetooth it's a hindrance in my view

I would honestly save a $1000 and get one of the entry-level MTG watches instead of this, cause they have very similar functions, except that they are full metal and finished quite nicely, as compared to paying $1000 more and getting a resin case.

Not cause is a gshock it means it has to be cheap. There are +6k G-shocks which artisanal level goes higher than Rolex. That being said, this G-Shock is 2k only because is a special edition but you can get a regular one for much of a cheaper price.
I kinda want the red version of the Frogman but that thickness kinda turns me off. But at that price why not get the mtg that's only 12?mm thick and "fully" analogue.
Question: I got Protrek 6600 and it runs always 2seconds fwd. Is there a way to correct it? Not a real issue but maybe I overseen something in the settings. Thx
I have 25 Casios, most of them I modded, 7 or 8 are gshocks. The entire Frogman range are overpriced for what you get. The GWN-Q1000 has the ABC plus tide graph, plus depth sensor - which is no Frogmans have, a far superior "frogman"

You should try some fiber with breaky. It moves things along.

This is the 'tooliest' and sturdiest feeling G Shock I've experienced and I've owned over 300 G Shocks over the years.

I would have included GPS satellite time sync but if time can be synced by Bluetooth or radio I guess it’s not essential.

The entire Frogman range are overpriced for what you get. The GWN-Q1000 has the ABC plus tide graph, plus depth sensor - which is no Frogmans have, a far superior "frogman"
I think gwfd1000 had a depth sensor with 0.1 meter accuracy...
