Koenigsegg CCX They don't have any grip at all when they're cold and to get enough grip, you have to drive dangerously fast (on public roads anyway, it's relatively safe to do those sorts of speeds on a race track) to get them hot enough to have a decent amount of grip and they aquaplane very easily due to them not having tread to disperse the water.

@Adil Rasheed those are fat tires, they are used generally in drag racing, the bigger the tires are the more grip you have and the better launch you get, unlike the Porsche with low profile tires

Never race any car with slicks on, the more discreet it looks the worse your chances.
The car in the film actually belongs to one of the ruling family members of Dubai. It has GTR engine and drive train that was fitted by Nissan in Japan and brought here. Then it was modified further to produce 1900 hp.

After a little research, we discovered that this specific Nissan (which belongs to a Dubai resident) is more than meets the eye. The car - that was built by local garage - F Performance Garage was featured on a Facebook page showing what was inside the super-fast SUV.

You can't upgrade a Patrol engine. You can only remove the engine and use the tuned engine from Nissan GTR R35.
Patrol engines are useless for drag racing
You can build tb48 for 1500 HP and VK56 for 2000 HP as well.
iv seen a rd28 block from a patrol with rb30 heads with twin turbo and all in a r32 skyline and it puts out around 1200hp
Rather rb25/26 head. RB30 head is 12V. This is common mod to use rd block above 800HP. Stock RB block behave like jelly around 8000rpm causing oil pump damage.

It is great idea. No one would expect pursuit from police in freaking Nissan Patrol or Sleeper Golf. But for that you would need special car unit because normal cops (Like any normal people) couldnt drive that, it isnt easy to control these cars and not everybody can drive 300km/h

I used to live near dubai. If a mf with a Nissan patrol asks you to race him you better run, in Arab countries Nissan patrols are heavily customized just like how we customize out mk4 supras, so if someone's willing to race it's definitely pushing over 1,000 hp

Jeremy said 'beaten by a Datsun van'. Actually, it would be incredibly interesting to put a high performance engine into something like a Mazda E-2000, fitted with adequate drive parts, wide wheels, and AWD. And could even widen the E-2000 in the workshop to make harder to tip over.
The SkidFactory on TH-cam built a late 60's early 70's Bedford Van with a mid mounted 600+hp Barra.

Jeremy was right calling Nissan a Datsun Van because Nissan used to be Datsun before they changed it later completely to Nissan. During the transition they used to badge it as NissanDatsun. Datsun has very fast cars. It's like Vauxhall/Opel/Holden.

Apparently this SUV has a 1500 hp Nissan GTR engine. Those GTR engines are absolutely incredible! They must have some advantage that other engines don't have. Possibly extremely durable piston chambers that can handle extremely high pressure from the turbos.
It's not a stock longblock. Those are not factory internals in that engine.

Definition of a MONSTER sleeper Nissan Patrol.
I wasn't surprised the Patrol won. I mean two things gave it away: 1) the hood came from a GTR but modified 2) race tires. Those were pretty clear to see this awesome sleeper was going to give the 918 a beating. I am just curious of the engine mods it used to produce 1900 hp.

Patrols come factory with a VK56 engine.
Some people here said they think it has the GTR engine.. but thats not really needed
Like many other Nissan engines the Patrols V8, its a cut above, factory forged not just crankshaft but pistons and rods as well.
Closed deck engine, 6 bolt main bearings and titanium valves.
Its very overbuilt engine from the factory... there is a supercharger kit out there form harrops (too much for my blood).
I have one of the (rare) Pathfinders that has this V8 in it.
12 years old, consumes not a drop of oil run HARD in towing and still has perfect compression.
Its maybe not needed but it actually has a GTR engine, I saw it while they were working on it and they actually got a full GTR and stripped it down and took the engine off.
Other vehicles are always below Japan tech.
