crazy how over 22 series of top gear and 4-5 seasons of Grand tour, there's only 7 ish minutes of them together in the same car. makes it that much more special.

I will never understand women who can go for someone solely because they have money. Jeremy is not attractive and cheats on everyone he's with. No amount of money would make me marry someone like that. And I have been poor my entire life, so it's not like I don't know that having or marrying money would improve a lot of things. They've been working together for such a long time. They roughly know what each other is gonna say.
This is unlikely, but they might’ve cut the audio that was playing straight after James said that and synced the shot of James’ face with audio later on or beforehand. I say this is unlikely because the others laughing at each other is part of the ambience of the show to reflect the friendship. So either Richard didn’t register it, didn’t want to say anything out of fear of either defending James or Jeremy since they were talking about looks or the crew just thought that silence after this line would help the joke land and boy does it. The awkward silence makes it so much funnier

In all 27 seasons combined of Top Gear and The Grand Tour, it’s still not hard to remember these moments. That says a lot about how well they worked as a trio and how natural all their jokes and comebacks were for them. It wasn’t just a show with 3 car lovers they were friends and genuinely loved vehicle engineering on top of not just spitting numbers out they gave real consumer advice with unparalleled comparisons and similes. “Driving a Porsche is like…” They will be the best cast ever put together for a car show they just worked so well together
