Great video and a good introduction to T. I’ve been tempted to pick up a set for a while but watching it stop easily at low speeds is a deal breaker. I started my model rail ‘journey’ in Z during Covid. Marklin’s Z is quite well engineered (and costly) but it can still suffer from poor running at slow speeds, especially the steam models . So I moved up to N, where I now model, with a bit of HOe thrown in. Looking forward to your next video. Thanks.
Thanks! Yes it did have issues at slow speeds but that could have been my lack of knowledge on how to run it. Certainly research it for yourself. I looked at Z also but found the cost and lack of UK steam of putting.
Very cute! When you go to put in the gravel use a thin solution of clear drying school or white glue with water, drip it in after you get everything the way you want it will stay rock solid.

My grandson is amazed by how tiny they are. He's building a 009-layout at the moment and documenting it on his Dylington Model Railway channel along with the fun Dylington Model Railway videos. Some of his model railway videos feature stop-motion animation on them alongside the trains running. You may find some of them fun to watch. There's a new Christmas one coming later this week as well. Anyway, we've enjoyed your video and have jumped onboard, so we'll be following you now... Cheers James 🙂👍
Hi All . I will be having my T Gauge in Scale 1.450 at Manchester Christmas show this weekend on the 14th and 15th December at the Sudgens Sport Centre to see these little creations rolling on the famous Ribblehead Viaduct
I was wondering if you think this train would go around easy if the track was made a smaller oval. I want it for my 1/12 scale dollhouse with a Christmas tree in the middle. As you have it set up, I don't have a room in the dollhouse this would fit in. I just love it though!!
They do have some slightly sharper curves, but reliability and wheel and track cleaning issues would likely make it an ongoing headache for you. You might want to search for "teenytrains" - I don't know if they are still in business, but they used to have a smaller 6"x4" oval trainset that is much more suitable. Another one to search out would be "tiny trains", as they sell tiny layouts using yet another system. Both would be much more compact and reliable, and yes, those names are very similar!
Hi Fletch , enjoyed your "T" gauge set. I'm sure someone will build a big scenicked layout with it ! Even though I live in Missouri Ilove English steam locos ;Esp the A4s !
i was thinking of starting with t gauge...but it doesn't seem to have a ton of variety? i don't really know many train types..but i've ridden on amtrak so was looking around for that but they all look like they're for larger scales. and i was reading about dcc and i guess they aren't small enough for t scale?
What is the smallest you can go that a Offers the best selection, price and detail? I was thinking N Gauge? But this is very cool. Hope to see steam locos in T gauge, I did think Z was the smallest gauge/ scale.
so if there's a train crash it'll actually spill gravel onto the ground? so realistic! next they'll make breakable oil cars that spill black oil too? 🙂oh the humanity!
@Gatherleymodeller. it has a motor but it's held to the track by magnets, that's how it stays on the track so well and doesn't just fall off as it's so small 🤓
I am wondering why you sadly don’t have more subscribers, your content is so high quality and interesting.
People today prefer crap over quality
Thanks! Much appreciated. I haven’t pushed TH-cam that much but my aim is to go harder in 2025!
@FletchOnSteam not really this is a super niche topic that most people wont click
The scale is amazing in itself and the attention to detail and realism is almost incredible.
I agree. I don’t know how they do it when it’s so small!
It's encouraging to see a T gauge train not running at 300mph!
Great video and a good introduction to T.

Amazing, I was planning on setting them somehow so this is a big help. Thanks
Clear drying school?

@FletchOnSteam you're welcome, I hope you enjoy his videos. He's doing a great job of his 009-layout. Let me know what you think 🙂👍

Well presented, well thought out, well balanced review. Looking forward to seeing the layout👍😊
Thanks! I need to get on with it!

Great review that Alex and commendable that you bought it and so gave an honest critique.
@@colesy361 thank you Mr Coles
You’ve got a TH-cam? Since when! Stoked. Awesome video Fletch. Subbed! 🎉
Thanks, I’m not as consistent as I should be. I’m hoping to give it more of a shot in 2025 as I have more time now.
Dude, this is so cool! Id love to get one of their 08 shunters or hsts, they are incredible! Great video :)
Thanks 🙏🏻

Thank you for your helpful information.
I bought a T gauge starter set after watching this video.
Wonderful, crazy size I'll have to check out the T gauge site.

Great to hear. Thanks for the love from across the pond! I need to get out there and see some locos sometime!
Love this, I’m hoping to get one 😊
I'm sure it's T for Tiny, but it should have been S for Smol.
Also, I'd love to see a T-scale shinkansen or Brightline. :P
Well this is an awesome channel! 🎉🎉
Thanks! Glad you like it 👍🏼

The smaller it is the more u are going to loose it, great video 👍
Thanks! And probably haha
OMG this is cool , I am going to buy this to have around my iMac
Amazing video! I’ll have to look into getting one of those. I have O Scale, so it will be very interesting to see how tiny those are compared to it.
I bet it’s the size of one of your 0 gauge driving wheels!
@@FletchOnSteam😂 probably
Think about the comparison with "1" gauge !
What is the curve radius?
Such a tiny electric motor! Wonder how many hours of functioning do they guarantee before refurbish/change
I’ve not checked it out honestly
yes nice train !
Wow, if you had a big room you could build a full branch line
I think that’s what some people do!
Good video, like
😄
Thanks 🙏🏻

Thanks! Finally at 1K 😁

But this is very cool.

I would say N gauge. T gauge and Z gauge there isn’t a huge choice in locos, rolling stock or scenery for that matter.
Imagine trying to do maintenance on that thing
Thats so cool!
Also dont you mean a Lighter ,
, Coin, And a coal car?
Maybe, I was tired when I made it 😅
Oh hello Aled, I didn't know you had given up singing and are now into model railways.
I didn’t know anyone knew I sang!
Freight is transported in wagons!
do the swiss make locomotives? yes, but they're very tiny 🙂
This is a really cool video good luck in 2025!
I’ll wait till they have tornado with working outside valve gear smoke and dcc fitted with sound Won’t be long.
😅😅 I wish
I doubt I could rail that 66 and the wagons!! Too small for me and my eyes
so if there's a train crash it'll actually spill gravel onto the ground? so realistic! next they'll make breakable oil cars that spill black oil too? 🙂oh the humanity!
WERE CAN YOU BUY THIS THING

How does it even move? A motor surely can’t fit 😂
Pretty sure they use magnets in the track and loco, at least I think that's how t gauge hsts work
@ wrong!! It has a motor 🤓
@Gatherleymodeller. it has a motor but it's held to the track by magnets, that's how it stays on the track so well and doesn't just fall off as it's so small 🤓
@jackstrains4468Both. A motor to propel it, and magnets to get it/keep it on the track.
Wonder what the innards look like. Future video content, maybe?
If I’m brave enough 🤣
Hi
3:50 I live in Somerset too 😊
Me too!
Wow I've never seen n gauge look big 😂😂
I know right!
Hey I follow you on IG . The robots are listening
Which ones? 🤖
Stick with the N gauge mate that's bad enough for the eyesight 😂
Tell me about it my hands were not made for T gauge 🥲

There over £200 for anyone wondering
This kit is £131.26 (with no freight wagons)
Tiny train but gargantuan price. Its no wonder this hobby is dead when you look at websites for trains sets and they're in the hundreds of dollars.
