FFA PvP Island will still be stacked with teams, there's no FFA unless you hide names and do more to make sure there isn't big time teaming up.
Hiding names could make it tricky to identify, Slow down the cheats at the least. Great idea
OSRS has had an FFA wilderness for years and solo players can still thrive. Think the teaming aspect has been really blown out of proportions.
People will skin/dye ezpz, it's silly as an open world concept and shouldn't have anything other than more nodes for farming mats
Like I get it and teaming will happen but I don't think the devs need to introduce any sort of mechanics to counteract it. Like what would they do? The only thing I might agree with is if they made it so you can't heal another player in this zone only self heals. If that isn't already a thing.
Nah, This can potentially be a great thing. It reminds me of the Dark zones from The Division.

Controller support already got aim assist and that's enough. But TAB target?? The literal reason this game's combat is good it's because it wasn't TAB target.
Controller just needs about 2x the sensitivity because it's too slow and that's it.
Why not?? We have Target lock in Darksouls, Elden Ring and everybody loves! New World always follow the souls like tendency. NW it's not a mmo for player who's like guild wars, ESO or WOW. New World have a specific public, same guys who like darksouls and more cadenced combat with less skills and stuffs like that. When i play New world for the first time i was surprise for no have a target lock ...
there are already pc exploits that they can't detect with it. I hope they keep it in.

Aimbot is fine for pve, no one cares...but when you try to remove the requirement for skill in a skill based area, you're going to ruin that area. Has nothing to do with pc vs. console.
We are Ancients in this game, once lived in Aeternum, then disappeared, but we are back baby!

New 10-man raid
New FFA PVP area with treasure maps and chests to find as well as stuff that drops on death, this is going to be pretty popular content I imagine

Enhanced controller support and aim-assist (target lock is number 18)
Repeatable solo trials
All quests are now fully voice acted and are more immersive with animations or cutscenes
Quest NPCs move around the map so you don’t have to run back and forth across great distances to complete them
MSQ storyline is much better from what I completed, it actually explains the world and what’s happening pretty well now and foreshadows Tempest content really well
Swimming
Changes to several weapons / balance updates
Combat is more responsive and smoother
Frame rates are much improved when lots of players are on screen
Cross-play servers
Cross-server matching (including 3v3s), and role selection.
Server caps raised to 4K or 4.5K depending on the server
Phasing / instancing technology: new instances are created whenever population exceeds a certain number in a given area (similar to what ESO does).
Heavy attacks now stagger in PVE and there is a brief period of stagger immunity after someone / something is staggered
Target lock in PVP: basically what’s in Elden Ring but without the projectile tracking. Useful for those with bad aim / casuals that are using controllers. Any movement of the target at range basically means you miss unless they’re running right at you. Can’t headshot, body shots only. Can be exploited by people to quickly acquire targets then turn off and adjust to headshot. Skilled players will likely not use target lock as it reduces dps, causes you to dodge around the target, etc.
Lots of bug fixes, there’s still bugs, but some have finally been fixed
New fresh start servers
Archetypes at character creation with good-looking sets of armor for transmog, 2 starting weapons, and a boost to 50 in three starting trade skills, you can still master everything on one character but you get a little bump at start
Much improved character creator, you can actually create a variety of good-looking characters finally
Many more fast travel points
More new random events strewn around the world
New wolf mount skin if you pre-order or login
New cosmetic set for reaching level 25 in beta

Look how much use wow has got out of WSG,AB,AV.

where is the pc players road map ?

They have said they will be releasing a road map shortly after the release. So hopefully within a week or so of release.

Beta was insane fun for me as a "Veteran" with 2500 Hours of NW
It felt polished more than ever and i LOVE the new cinematics and leveling system
I rly HOPE you guys learned your lesson the last 3 Years and go now straight forward!
People will understand by time that NW is worth atleast a try and if you add now good content regularly im pretty sure this Game is still the MMORPG with the biggest potential.

I dont feel the same, when it comes about scenarios: Initial shipwreck looks incredible: Nice water color, corals and stuf BUT when you run away that zone, everything is the same: That water that doesnt loook like water, no corals... Nothing is overseed, overviwed or cared at all.
I hope they give some love to the landscapes, LOD's and quit autoaim to PVP.
(An my opinion, give MUCH love to housing and survival)
unofrtunatley they will not there is no any meaningful reward from raids.
I wish people would stop talking about potential and stick with what's "actual". New World is a good game if you take it for what it is. If you play the game for what it potentially could be, you're gonna be disappointed.

Yeah they dropped a few and hired some new people for the dev team. This update is 10x better than previous ones so it definitely shows. Way more polished, engaging, and professional.

I have 4200 hrs in New World. Playing everyday since beta! The non communication over the summer was terrible for your pc player who have held the line

I’m hyped! This was my first ever MMO and has easily become one of my favorite games to play. I haven’t played in about 9 months but after playing the beta the game feels so much better. I just hope we get new content regularly!

I am a NW player with thousands of hours played. Myself, along with thousands of other games really felt disappointed with the absence of new content for a full year. Now that we know the content absence was due to Console Release, I am requesting/hoping/coping that you pump content regularly, AND create sandbox tools that promote replayability both for NW & for the new LOTRO.
Also, HUGE CONGRATS for creating a game with action combat, without disgusting p2w like other games. The fact that a naked player can beat a full gear player (if they know what they are doing), and that a lvl 40 player can beat a max lvl player IS UNIQUE and is NOT possible on any other MMO.

I don’t think a game that gives you 2,500 hours of content, before the updates, is a scam. This is not a free to play game supported by micro transactions and there is no subscription. You have to temper your expectations on content drops.

It looks really great guys, I’m really looking forward to this raid, it’s really what us PvE guys have wanted.
I hope the content keeps coming even after launch. I also would love to see artifact reworks, and something beyond the buff dancing artifacts. We need more things like Lifetaker, Tempest Fury, and Boltcaster. Where is the armor that “after taking damage, a meteor strikes your attacker (30sec cooldown)” or something along those lines. I want cool armor that actually does stuff I can observe, not just slap on something that adds more buffs or debuffs to the mix.

As a PC player who will be returning for fresh start please make this game flourish. The core gsme has always been good the early level systems held it back and lack of endgame gave no reason to grind. Give this game the life it deserves.

After playing beta and seeing all these updates myself well I think the issue these last few months was never lack of content they legit redid the ENTIRE campaign from scratch something unheard of in MMOs today and added new raid and PvP content it was just how it was communicated that didn’t really sell it well

1. you can no longer craft maximum lvl equipment (so crafting = 0)
2. if you want maximum level equipment, you have to do pvp (so goodbye raiding)
3. again they steal from us an area that you could farm without problems (except bots of course).
4. more bots that you have to fight for resources.
5. and the most important aspect that I cannot ignore is that they steal everything we have achieved so far in the game.
I don't know what they could do to convince me to play because that would mean changing the whole vision they have about the game.

Please, focus on having more people in the worlds. This division causes the worlds to die too easily. Also, add weapons focused on PvE, because we want to do things solo as well, and for that to be possible, we need more tools to make it happen.

I dont see an issue with the aimlock in PVP.
Playing in the beta the only players that suffered vs it were those with bad movement or over just an overall skill issue as it doesnt guarantee a hit.
Most of the people crying about it are just mad because they used 3rd party aimlocks before so they wont be special anymore. AG never banned anyone who used them cheap af too but most people just got the bots for free. I think its a way overblown issue due to the youtubers crying about it. I was able to doge ranged EZ AF in the beta!

I took advantage of the last day of the free beta last weekend and liked it so much I went ahead and bought the base game and dlc ( as I am on PC ) just to enjoy and learn more about the game before the new version drops on the 15th :) Amazing and even though I am enjoying the current edition , am SO excited for the new drop ! Thanks for letting us all give it a try and see what you brought to the table. This has become my new obsession :)

If the Goldcursed armor is reusing old armor skins, then I'll be very disappointed considering how great the weapons look.

"It's all of the content added to the game since launch." TLDR: Not much. Expect seasonal delays and devs giving bare bone updates or reusing one season event in another season. Dont expect loot tables to ever be updated. Game will be great fun up top 65 - then enjoy chest runs and speed running dungeons over and over and over and over again.
