- Today we travel from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai on the back of a Honda CB 500x Touring Bike. This area in the north of Thailand is formerly known as the "Kingdom of a Million Rice Fields" and now we understand why.
This area of Thailand is absolutely stunning and we fell in love with the beauty of the mountains, the generosity of the people, and the sense of adventure.
Comment down below where we should go next. We love motorbiking around, so areas with beautiful driving is encouraged :)

If you're new here, welcome to our channel! We are so glad you're here. We are a married couple from AMERICA🇺🇸(K8) & SOUTH AFRICA🇿🇦(Gustav). We met here in Bangkok, Thailand🇹🇭, fell in love, and finally eloped in March 2023. 💍💍(eeek!) Since 2021, we've been planning adventures, exploring South East Asia on motorbike, trying crazy fruits, and jungle trekking/hiking through some of the craziest places we've ever been. We want to bring you along on our journeys as we do our favorite things in South East Asia, which is HIKING and RIDING OUR MOTORBIKE in beautiful areas. (amongst many other activities haha)
We hope our channel brings you inspiration in your travels and maybe a few laughs as well. We have a passion for being in the outdoors, capturing the special moments, and of course, sharing it with you.

After the filming of this video, we realized we should have been wearing protective gear especially when riding on a big bike! We do not recommend people to wear what we wore in this video. We have now invested in some good motorcycle gear and will definitely be putting them to good use! If you are riding on a motorbike, most places will have some gear to rent so that is always an option! Stay safe and thank you for watching :)
Happy Thailand Welcome.😊❤🇹🇭🌷💌💌😊🙏
Mae Hong son. The best place, for realy Bikers.❤
Beautiful, curvy roads. The other place is close to Nan, excellent motorbike roads

That Temple is really beautiful and inspiring. Thank you soo much for watching and supporting 😃
Fun to join the virtual ride on the bike with you two. 😊
Thank you sooo much for watching and supporting 😃Thailand is wonderful for trips in the countryside 😄
Good video. But for a long trip, you should wear safety clothing. Such as safety gloves, safty boots, safty pants and jackets.
Not ensure 100% for safety but those gears will reduce your pain and loss when any accidents occure.
Safe journey.
Thank you so much for watching 😃 we bought proper motorbike gear after this trip. Lots of people recommended safety gear in the comments😅
3000 baht wow so expensive 😮 but it must be worth it
It was expensive, you can rent a car for that price. But it really feels liberating😃
พูดภาษาไทยเก่งมาก😊
Thank you sooo much 😃 we try to speak Thai as much as possible, but we need to improve more😅
So crazy,i love you.

Sa-nook Sa-nook
Sa-bai Sa-bai
Na-krab.
We thank all the Thai people that have been so welcoming and nice 😊. Sabai dee mai kap😄
Perfectly dressed up to ride motorbike ...
We bought proper motorbike gear after this trip, we realized how dangerous it is😅
Enjoy to Thailand.❤🎉🤟🏻🇹🇭
Thank you so much 😊 we love Thailand 🇹🇭
The most dangerous part of driving/riding in Thailand is the local drivers who ignore traffic rules and safety themselves as well as safety of others. Just bought a new Honda CB500F (Hornet); it's more exhausting riding/driving in Thailand than in EU or in U.S. I am sure in other countries, i.e., India, Bangladesh, might be worse than in Thailand..
Yeah I agree, no helmets and driving fast. I really like Honda bikes, reliable and comfy to ride. Thanks for watching 😃
The North of Thailand is beautiful but the Northeastern is so beautiful as well.🥰
I am doing the Nan loop next week😃 (Gustav) and then we want to go to Buriram in the near future. Do you have recommendations?
@@K8andGustav The route to Buriram province must pass through Phetchabun Province, which is very beautiful because it is a mountainous and rush green areas. You should stop by to visit Phetchabun province because this province is very famous for Thai people as well for motorbike riding and camping in the mountains.
Thank you so much for the recommendation, we will try to do that when we have a nice long weekend for traveling again😃
สนุกมากดคลิบคุณเหมือนได้ไปด้วยเลย
😂😂😂😂
How did David keep up on that little scooter? Nice adventure .
We took it slow-ish, and stopped a lot😃 but he was pushing that little scooter😅
On which month did you shoot this video? Its a lovely captured moments❤❤❤ @kate and Gustav
We did that trip last year September. Nice time of the year to travel😄 thanks for watching 😊
Nice vid.n
David, in Thailand it is NOT 'cool' to walk around with bare feet; in fact it is inappropriate.
Apart from Monks do you see Thais walking without footware?
Just saying.😅
Enjoy and be safe.
If you go to the islands you see a lot of Thai people walk barefoot, especially driving boats😅 we had a great time, thanks for watching.
This os do EPIC, i EPICLY block your disrespectful clockbait channel
Thanks for the View😅
YIP, No protection for when you come off. Fairly stupid riding in shorts and tee shirt. Only a matter of time.
I agree it really is dangerous, and we only realized it after the trip. So we ordered protective gear for our next trip😅
@@K8andGustav Good on you. I've seen too many horrific injuries and even deaths from tourists not wearing protective gear. It's well worth it. Larn at CP, will show you places to go to buy good gear.
Thanks for the advice, we realized that it’s a no brainer to get protective gear. We received it just in time for our Vietnam trip with Bikes😄
Nice trak. But you realy no Biker.
No we bought some proper protection gear after this trip.
