You should run through more reactions now. Charismatic Voice and Beth Roars have great reacts and actually talk about what is going on through the singing. I love watching them

And to your question: More talking is good. It can actually help to make these reaction videos more entertaining by filling their deadspace.
Us fans will step up and try to send reaction videos that are actually good.
I'm on the other end of the spectrum.
I like it when they take the time to actually listen and show the entire song without stopping because it lets the viewers also listen to the full song uninterrupted and then form their own opinion to compare with the people in the video reacting.

IMHO, the best reactions to your videos are from Chase Carneson. One of the very few that goes past pure hype or silliness and actually talks about the music and why it's great. If you do another interview, it should be with him. Absolute best from a new fan that would have been a fan from the beginning if only I'd know.

Me personally, I found out about Unleash The Archers because of a youtube reactor.
And now whenever I hear or see someone saying that some other female lead is the greatest vocalist ever, I will point them towards Awakenings as a good starting place for ya'lls awesome band. Keep on Rockin!!

I found them by a reaction to Awakening and went and bought all their albums on iTunes right after.
My standard response is always "Bruh, Brittney Slayes has the best pipes IN THE GAME."

Charismatic Voice did a reaction video to The Awakening. Think you'll enjoy that one. Also Northern Passage is easily top three for me of your work as a band. The costal elements were not lost on me.

My favorite tour stop weekend would include UTA, Jinjer, Devin Townsend and Nightwish. Would be an awesome Friday and Saturday night for me.

i actually discovered you while looking for a Jinjer vid.........WOW! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.......so i ended up listening to Unleash the Archers for the remainder of my work day. My 13 year old son loves you guys too. Tonight we Ride has gold all over it and is my anthem to face the day! Rock on!...........Pop Up video was my fav btw👍👍🔥🔥

One of the first thing I noticed in this video is that you have great taste in comics.
I don't feel people give you enough praise for Cleanse the Bloodlines. By far my favorite song. I love you guys! Keep up the amazing work and keep living your dream.

I realize that I've come late to this video and that you might not see this comment. She does a lot more talking/reacting to your music video for "Awakening" then the ones you watched here.
Also, to your question about reaction videos, people tend to take different approaches. The two approaches that I like the most are either your approach (talking throughout the video) or where the reactor pauses the video they are reacting to give their reactions. To be honest, my favorite style is probably that last one because then the reactor isn't missing anything and is still able to give their thoughts and reactions throughout the reaction video.
There are some people who will quietly listen to the video they are suppose to be reacting to and not give any reaction until the end. This seems more like a review more than a reaction, but it's the approach that some people take. Those are generally the ones that I avoid.
Her pending interview was announced over on TCV's channel for March or April... So Stoked!
The Charismatic Voice is how I first heard of UTA and I was blown away. I'm not really a metal fan but damn this band is amazing!

Today is the day! There's Hope for Power Metal Music! First time listening to many songs from Unleash the Archers, and that band Nail it. Reminds me a lot about the old school, UDO, Deep Purple, Heart, all those amazing bands from the past. You and mates brought back the Good Old Times a new FIRE! A Torch Bigger than Himalaya! Thank you! Brittney you're and everybody are AMAZING. OUTSTANDING! FATALITY!

Ew, DRUNK KITCHEN? No way! The kitchen is the most dangerous room in any house! Don't do it! A cooking vlog is one thing; Drunk Cooking, you need a sober babysitter or two. Drunk just sitting down and BS'ing is okay though. The rest I can totally get behind.
Way back in 2011 Brittany was in a dumpy Calgary bar named Lord Nelson's. She was standing at the merch booth beside our table and at that point I had never heard the band, so didn't know she was the vocalist. When she sat down, I jokingly said "What if the boss sees you sitting down on the job?". She responded "Pffft, I AM the boss." What a Legend. Haha She then joined the band onstage and they ripped out a killer show, cementing themselves immediately as a personal favorite in the land of Metaldom!

It was August 11th year of our lord 2020, the first time heard UTA. I've have never been caught so off guard by something so good. This isn't meant negatively, but power metal has never grabbed me in a way, that I would listen to it on a regular basis. But this band, this is something. It either made a fan of the genre or it transcended it. I've been listening to it all day. If anyone is interested in a really cool and thoughtful reaction video, check Linzey Rae's reaction video. Ditto... how much prefer symphonic metal or synth core symphonic metal but this band has me listening to power metal

honestly, I feel like a lot of them do it for the bandwagoning; there's few genuine reactions against a lot of bad (and sometimes good) actors, but that's my opinion anyway ✌️

@@banafanafofana6914 I like the reactors that are watching the video to see what qualities it has (like Beth Roars or Mr Terry History) and they can in turn teach you something about the video based on their respective knowledge bases. The ones who just do it for the views, I usually just ignore. Except reaction videos where it is not the reactors style of music, those are funny!

This is great, wish you'd reacted to "Rebecca Vocal Athlete" though, I think you'd like her review of Awakening. She actually pauses and analyzes. Maybe next time? :)
I was going to say this also, but you beat me to it. Rebecca also has character and her expressions and comments are entertaining, in my opinion. I'm intrigued by the fact that she didn't start out as a metalhead, but she's fast becoming one, thanks to the likes of Nightwish and Unleash The Archers!

I've found very few reactors with worthwhile commentary. Lost in Vegas are pretty much the gold standard for this sort of thing, and they've done at least one of your videos.
Hi Brittney, not sure if you'll see this on an old video but I have to say that I just found Unleash the Archers yesterday and have been absolutely blown away by what I have seen and heard. Yourself and every one of your band members are extremely talented and I can't believe that you're not more well known. The fact that you all are basically from my backyard (Langley, just out of Vancouver) just blows my mind doubly so! I hope to see you live one day. Keep on rockin'!
Those guys have to pause now and again for copyright reasons, and since people might be hearing a song for the first time through their reaction vid, they tend to save most of the commentary for a pause point. Side note: I was already a UTA fan, but I found your channel because of Mr RockandRoll's reaction to this reaction :)

I wanna give dudes like that a chance but they only do those videos because us metalheads give them views because we care about other people liking metal. If there wasn't money in it for him we would never see anymore of his videos

Generally, most fans hate when reactors talk through or pause the video, some reactors still do it, because it breaks the mental rhythm of the song and it also means if they are talking they are not listening. Plus we also want to see their reaction to the song without them getting a mental break. It's easier to tell through eye and facial expressions if they actually like it or not. Some reactors lie and say they love everything, I don't support those channels. Its just disingenuous.
I found you guys through a reaction channel a little over a year ago, been one of my favorites ever since. Apex was the first album/songs I heard by UTA and it hasn't left my playlist since.
Also, it's a way to try to get around copyright claims.
Simply playing the song through without an occasional stop and talk will get the channel a guaranteed copyright claim and TH-cam will take the video down.
Besides the copyright problem, sharing thoughts verbally is part of reacting to something. Why would you just watch someone bob their head for 5min straight? Or worse, give overblown facial expressions and disingenuously spaz out?
If you want to listen to the song, then just go listen to the song.
Love it. The best reaction vids are the ones from vocal teachers, they tend to comment A LOT . I find that the "fan" reaction ones are, like you noted, lots of silence with a review at the end. Absolute love the new songs, keep up the great music.

I just saw this video and love the reaction to the reactions. I also love the First Law trilogy books you have haha.
I prefer when reactors pause and talk when ever they have something to say.
Sometimes that goes wrong, too, though. There was a certain couple with a new channel who had never seen a certain ten-minute-long song; they paused at THE WORST POSSIBLE moment near the end of the video. The crescendo was interrupted and they messed with the flow of the song, totally missing the point of the buildup. They caught hell in their comments section, ostracised themselves from the fans of the band they were reacting to and I have not seen many videos from them because of it. I tried to help defend them; they honestly didn't know what was coming so HOW could they know when to pause or not? But their channel never took off, like it might have. I recommend not pausing, but that also brings the obvious problems from stupid YT.
@@jamescurfman3284 So, if that happens the reactor should back the video up a minute or so, apologize and let it go again.
@@lonelywind3511 Yes, agreed. Good way to do it. And it just occurred to me that not all the videos being reacted to are Music Videos, so sometimes I guess it's okay to talk over them (just depends on what is going on).

They don't talk that much because they don't want to interrupt a possible solo for what they would be punished hard in the comments :D
The idea of you commenting UTA's videos would be awesome and way more relevant than all these boring and useless reaction videos where "reactors" don't even seem to care about what they're watching... I would personally be totally unable to do a reaction video to UTA's videos as while I'm watching them I can't stand in place, I do air drumming and I sing along in the worst way ever!

All the background info she gave to the videos was just funny tidbits and that was awesome to hear.
Alot of people complain about people pausing a video during a reaction but I would rather see that then just them watching someone sit there doing nothing maybe a comment or two then end the video. The only time I really find that acceptable is if it is like how Vin and Sori do it where they listen to the song then break it down after.

For any fans of the series (sitting on Brittney's shelf), if you haven't checked out Joe's newest book, "A Little Hatred" released in September of this year, I HIGHLY recommend you pick it up. It's the first entry in a new trilogy set roughly 20yrs after the end of the First Law trilogy.
