Change the formula. If you’ve used ketoconazole for too long use something else like selsun. (Selenium sulfide). Nizoral worked well for me for years but suddenly stopped working. I would get flakes even after hairwash on clean hair. So I switched to selsun and it worked instantly!
Nizoral shampoo is a game changer! It makes my scalp feel so good and if I use a scalp brush, I’m left flake free. Not going to bed with wet hair also cuts down on the fungus living on your scalp.
I don't have a dandruff problem, but I do have oily scalp and stress induced hair loss. My dermatologist recommended Nizoral for hair loss and it is amazing. My theory: everyone with scalp issues should use Nizoral once a week.
Thanks to all who mentioned not going to bed with wet hair!!!! I never thought about that as a contributing factor to scalp issues, but it makes sense. I don't wear socks to bed to prevent creating a moist environment where toenail fungus thrives, so I will now also dry hair before cocooning in my warm n' cozy bed!!! Thanks again!
the other thing to keep in mind is to wash your hair with a good shampoo as well. if you have a oily scalp, which if you have dandruff then you have a oily scalp, then using a shampoo that doesnt clean your hair properly only adds to the problem. there is no shampoo you can buy from walmart or target that cleans your hair properly(as far as i know). you have to buy a salon grade shampoo. redken, pulp riot, morrocanoil, are all some of the best brands there is, if not THE best. if you use shampoo from these brands, you will clean your hair properly which will help immensely to reduce the build up on your scalp. also remember; you can use these dandruff treating shampoos alongside a salon grade one, simply use the dandruff shampoo first, then follow up with the salon grade, it wont damage your hair, i promise. most hair stylists wash your hair twice anyways because if you dont wash your hair too often, which you shouldnt(you should only wash your hair once every 3 to 4 days for fine hair, to up to once a week or more if you have coarse hair in order to have healthy hair), then you may need two applications to fully clean your hair anyways. Ive struggled with really bad dandruff all my life, so i feel the pain, and the pure hopelessness when all the advice you can find feels like you have to choose between a comfortable scalp, or healthy hair, plus all the advice is to "shower more often" or "shower less often" like seriously, ive heard different "professionals" say so many contradicting things its infuriating. Yes, you can have healthy hair and have a healthy scalp at the same time, and no, you dont have to shower every single night to have a healthy scalp. Like i said, all you have to do is use a dandruff shampoo like head and shoulders as a sort of pre-shampoo treatment before you use your real shampoo for your hair. Reminder as well: NEVER apply any form of shampoo directly to your hair, apply it directly only to the scalp. split your hair at the back of your head close to the crown and apply a glob of shampoo onto your scalp there, then do the same to both of the sides of your head above the ear, then at the top of your head about an inch above the hairline. use your finger tips to massage the shampoo into your scalp. massage it really well until the shampoo starts to foam and get bubbly, this signifies your hair is clean. Yes, it is okay, and good even if the shampoo washes over your strands, you want it to, so while you should never rub your hair with the shampoo, you do want it on your hair so its not like you have to be paranoid about it not touching the mids and ends of your hair lol. if the shampoo starts foaming and getting very sudsy pretty quickly every time you shampoo, that means you shampoo too often. it should take about a minute or two for the shampoo to start getting sudsy. this tells you your hair was dirty and needed cleaned. this method of knowing if your hair was clean or not doesnt work with drug store brands, or walmart brands like Ogx, pantene, etc. as they artificially make the soap sudsy. it only works with salon grade because good shampoo has nothing to hide. it also doesnt apply to dandruff shampoo because the goal of dandruff shampoo is not to clean your hair, its to treat your scalp. Dont listen to what the advertising of the bottle says, I know they like to claim it does clean your hair, but its a lie. it was written by a marketing team that doesnt know ANYTHING about the formula. dandruff shampoo was never meant to replace a regular shampoo, it was always intended to be used as a treatment alongside it. finally, use a good salon grade leave in conditioner on your towel dried damp hair after youre done showering, and use a wet brush to smooth your hair out, then if you have particularly long hair or want your hair to grow out as quickly as possible, put a hair oil on your ends to protect them. just a little bit, not too much of these products, else you end up with heavy oily strands. the leave in conditioner you want to apply to the mids and ends of your hair, not the roots, altho you can brush it through all your hair with a wet brush, just be careful, and again i stress dont use too much of it. the hair oil you can brush through the mids if you want but DO NOT get this anywhere near your roots. good brands for leave in conditioner and hair oil is pureology for the leave in conditioner, color fanatic is probably the best one, then for the hair oil olaplex no. 7 is by far the best. finally, if you style your hair with heat, you have to use heat protectants. leave in conditioners will sometimes claim to have heat protectant in it, but again like i said before, this is a lie and its just a marketing team making shit up to get more people to buy it. If you blowdry your hair(which i recommend doing, it not only looks great, it keeps your hair cleaner for a little longer than air drying), then you have to use a blowdry cream. again, redken is a good brand for this. If you use a curling iron on your hair, a blowdry cream is not strong enough, you need a full on heat protectant. once again, redken has your back. If you both blowdry and curling iron, then you use both products. blowdry cream before blowdry, heat protectant before iron. these products wont weigh your hair down at all, so dont worry about thinking youre using too many different products. obviously still dont use too much of these heat protectors because then you will possibly experience negative results lol. finally, if youre like me, and your hair is insanely damaged from the years or even decades of struggling with hair products and dandruff, then youre gonna need the miracle substance known as; ✨Olaplex No. 3✨ Olaplex No. 3 will repair your hair up to about 90% of what it used to be when you were young with virgin hair that was still healthy and new. unfortunately, its impossible to get hair completely 100% again.. but it doesnt matter, your hair will be clean and healthy and look godlike so its ok. Olaplex no.3 you apply similarly to how i said you should the dandruff shampoo, you apply it to wet hair before you shampoo, except you should leave it in your hair about 5 to 10 minutes. it wont damage your hair if you leave it longer, but it wont help you any more either so its just a waste of time lol. you only wanna use this once a week, so every other wash if you have fine hair like me and only wash your hair once every 3 to 4 days. then wash the stuff out with your dandruff shampoo, do your dandruff shampoo treatment, then use your regular shampoo to finish up cleaning your hair. Use your salon grade conditioner afterwards, then towel dry your hair and put on that sweet leave in conditioner, brush it through with a wet brush, put the beloved goldilocks approved hair oil on your ends, smooth it through with your wet brush, then blow dry your hair after a good application of blow out cream, and boom, your hair and scalp will look and feel 100x better than most likely it ever has before, and you may cry afterwards lol. oh, also bonus points if instead of using a conditioner you use a hair mask instead on the days you use Olaplex no.3, i recommend moroccanoil weightless hair mask for any hair type, its great. This isnt necessary at all tho, it just gives your hair some extra hydration which can make it feel like its 100% again now obviously the elephant in the room is if you want to get all these products its gonna cost what a lot of people would consider an arm and a leg. It all clocks in to about 250-300 bucks for one round of it all, which seems completely ridiculous just to have a healthy scalp and healthy pretty hair, but heres what you need to keep in mind: These products will last you 6 months to a year without having to buy more, depending on what your hair needs. Idk about you guys, but I had to buy new shampoo and conditioner every couple months to every single month at 10 bucks a bottle, all just to only have an ok scalp and horrible, damaged hair all the time. the professional stuff may cost a shitton in the short term, but long term if you buy the bulk options, aka the big bottles of these professional products, itll last you a long time, and your hair will be comfortable and perfect. in my opinion, its worth the extra 100-200 bucks a year. Which doesnt sound like a lot of money after i say it now does it, 150 more bucks a year than what youre already spending to have hair and a scalp thats a million times better than how it is now ? so worth it. Hey! Your post is reall6 helpful. Recently i have started noticing is i cant use dinethicone based conditioners.they give me horrible dandruff? What do i use then?
Honestly I’m glad I stumbled into this information. I’ve been struggling with my scalp for as long as I can remember and only just last year did I go see a dermatologist while she was very nice and gave helpful advice, I unfortunately have been still struggling with my scalp since the insurance only gives a very limited amount of shampoo each month and I also have ultra thick hair so it’s has been very hard to work with over the years. My head/hair is always a big shower job and usually takes an hour or more to deal with, so having in-depth tips like these really help.
My litte brother got prescribed some of this anti dandruff shampoo that worked in 1 wash , bc I live in the uk we don't have to see the dermologist in fact I've never met them, this was prescribed by his doctor
Thank you for addressing dandruff and sharing this video. I struggled with dandruff for years, and no shampoo seemed to work. After trying Planet Ayurveda’s Neem capsules and Hair Growth Formula, my scalp is finally healthy and flake-free. I highly recommend their herbal supplements to anyone dealing with the same issue!
I love the daily content! Thank you Dr. Dray. A video about your experience in medical school and your whole story about wanting to be a dermatologist would be a really cool video to watch!
@@Skaleezay In Canada/US we have Johnson's for babies - in the baby items area. Johnson's has two products: one is yellow, the other is orange. I've been using the yellow one for the past years, it's the mildest one (it says 'ultra-mild' on the bottle), called 'Head-to-toe wash".
Lemon mixed coconut oil works so good Apple cider vinegar spray works good too Lemon freshly squeezed and can be mixed with olive oil too Washing every three day for 2 weeks and then 5 days a week . Everytime you washing your hair put lemon oil mix atleast an hour before Good luck 🤞
Hello Dr Dray , I use a Kétoconazole shampoo to treat saborehic dermatitis but it doesn't clean my hair properly , like it's still a bit greasy after shower. Can I use Kétoconazole first and then rewash my hair with regular shampoo ? Thank you 😉🤗
I’ve tried a few of these ingredients but my teen daughter still has so much dandruff.( a year) When should I take her to a doctor? And which doctor? Her pediatrician or a dermatologist?
Are her flakes from dandruff or a dry scalp? If she has dandruff then I would stay away from putting oils on the scalp because oil can make dandruff worse. Oilier scalps tend to be more prone to dandruff as well. (I have dandruff and once put jojoba oil on my scalp which was a huge mistake. My head was so itchy and the flakes multiplied). If she actually has an extra dry scalp, then I'd recommend using more hydrating shampoos. Of course a dermatologist could probably confirm what your daughter's condition is. A medical aesthetician might also be helpful to your daughter.
This might sound crazy and I have no idea how this worked bc it seems to go against every skin/hair care advice I read online but maybe try using the dove soap bar (it's a combo bar). Choose the one with the shortest ingredient list. I got this advice a few years ago from an old Romanian dermatologist and it worked! I had a very oily scalp and dandruff. I recommend it to my hairdressers teenage daughter and it worked for her, too. (The hair doesn't feel good while it's wet though)
I need help ive been having really bad dandruff, i just showers yesterday an its already bad. Should i shower more or less, and what are ur opinions on season blue, thats what i use
Hey Dr Dray, why is it that only Nizoral shampoo has Ketoconazole in it? Is it a patented ingredient or something? Cause’ it’s a very good ingredient, I find it weird that other brands don’t use it..
I used to use a nipxin shampoo after my heads and shoulders ran out as it was the only option, never again it gave me so much dandruff, after going back to the heads and shoulders, I’ve noticed a complete difference
If I wash me hair every two/three days should I use this shampoo be used each time or as a treatment? I just trying to figure out if I need an everyday gentle cleansing shampoo or clarifying one as well. And some people oil there scalp beforehand too? Sooo confused and trying to figure it all out! 🥴😓
Try the Nizorol(probably spelling it wrong) shampoo! I have the same condition AND have thick asf curly hair(not on my ears, but all over my scalp), and Nizorol in conjunction with the head and shoulders clinical strength is pretty much the only thing that helped. I even read reviews before getting the Nizorol and it seemed to help alot of people with their sebhorratic dermatitis
My doctor gave me two scalp lotions, one is sulfur/salycilic acid and I leave it on for 1h and wash it off, after shampooing I have a coal tar lotion that I leave on my scalp. Mind you, I have psoriasis which is different, but there probably are similar medications you could use for your condition. I can't use prescription shampoos, they're way too drying to my 3c hair.
Hi doctor gave me ketokenzol 2% as a treatment i used it it's good but after i use it the dandruff come back so i decided to try this vichy shampoo do you advise me to use it or i keep using ketokenzol 2% ?
Thank you so much for your video! I have very thick wavy salt and pepper long hair and a sensitive scalp (seborrheic dermatitis). I have suffered from SD for over thirty years and recently found a routine that prevents the seborrheic dermatitis from flaring. I'd love to keep in touch with you. I am creating my own youtube channel how I deal with my seborrheic dermatitis and folliculitis. Hope you will come by and say hi!
Hello mam, how has your scalp been? I hope you’ve had success managing the SD, because that sh*t is TERRIBLE. Have you happened to notice that for you and your scalp, are there specific foods/substances that trigger SD flare ups…? Only asking because, thats how my scalp is. I can NOT drink energy drinks, after about 2 days of drinking them, my scalp is itchy af and rashes. I’m not sure why, i have a feeling it’s a specific ingredient in the drinks that do it. I know it can’t be the caffeine, because I drink coffee and I don’t get SD from it at all. Anyways, I hope you have no more flare ups. And was only asking so I can gather more information about SD and flare ups.
Could you do a video on Verteporfin? An available drug currently that could potentially regrow hair on scars! Or maybe if you could do it once human trials are done for it as currently I think it’s mouse models. Thankyou!
I was going to try Nizoral, but I'll stick to Head & Shoulders since Nizoral contains animal collagen. They also test on animals. The website only claims to not test their finished products on animals.
Lol you will go with a product that probably won't work for you because the more effective product had animal testing or contains ingredients you dont like 😅 you probably should avoid all medications since they all have been tested on animals
Hi Dr Dray, I tried hada labo arbutin at your recommendation and love it! Two questions - -is it normal for the skin in your hands to start peeling from arbutin? -can you use arbutin and retinol together? I haven't tried just wondering Thanks again
Ummm I mean I’m not a doctor or a NP but that doesn’t sound normal to me, and I’ve used The Ordinary’s alpha arbutin for a year and a half now. I’ve never had any peeling with it.
Alpha arbutin you can use with retinol, i have and I stopped. And yes its normal for it start peeling happened to me too, i used the product without/with retinol same very very mild peeling. it really depends the strength of the retinol and the strength of the arbutin. I can use 0.05% tretinoin with alpha arbutin practically daily and be fine with the peeling reduced a lot in a week or so, but i can also handle 0.1% tretinoin with azelaic acid every other day/every 2 days. Everyone's skin is different so it depends what you ca handle and what results your looking for. If you are using ONLY Alpha arbutin with 0.025% tretinoin unless you have very dry skin/sensitive skin you should be fine but everyone is different you might peel loads. However, the peeling is temporary, when your skin gets used to it in a week or 2 the peeling should stop.
An update on peeling hands: I found the culprit, it was not the arbutin! Just the unfortunate timing made me think it might've been the arbutin :) I got a referral to see a dermatologist today, will make an appointment now, so hoping to get a good retinol to try it with soon.
I have seborrheic dermatitis and the derm told me to use Dawn dish soap 5x/wk (let it sit for 10 mins) & alternate types of dandruff shampoo 2x/wk. No one in town thought she was any good at her job.
Dr. Dray, could you do a video on why some people like myself get "salty" eyebrows and sometimes in my hairline (and how to fix it)? I'm not sure if it's just from sweating or it's a condition. I've googled it and see many people with the same question but no doctor discussing the topic. My skin isn't red. It's just after I wash my face, put sunscreen on and go about my day, within about 2 hours the salt starts to form and gets worse as the day goes on.
I went to dermatologist regarding that condition on my eyebrows, he said it's seborrhea and gave me shampoo with corticosteroids and some balm. It helped and ever since it comes back 2-3 times a year, i use shampoo and balm and it goes away within few days.
@@jelenajelena5782 Maybe my dermatologist isn't very good. Thank you for your reply. I did google seborrheic dermatitis and the pictures show skin flaking. My eyebrows just look salty, no defined flakes. It could be that dermatitis though but it looks different on some people perhaps. Plus I use dandruff shampoo as a preventative at least once a week on my scalp, and I have tried it on my eyebrows in case that was it, it never changes it and always manages to burn my tightly closed eyes. Did you use a shampoo on your eyebrows, which one?
Yes. Allergic to your own sweat? Not likely. Dandruff (the condition) often makes scalps wetter (the inflammation that causes the itch "leaks" on your scalp). He most likely has a mild dandruff or some other, more obscure problem. Try some basic shampoos and if the problem isnt fixed and still causes issue then you should hit up your local dermatologist.
Probably the one that's going to work for you/that you tolerate. She has a number of videos on hair/scalp care including dandruff/itchy scalp/eczema/psoriasis.
I don’t think I even leave it on for more than a minute and it has worked well for me as long as I use it on a regular basis. I guess it may also depend on the severity of the dandruff.
is it possible for a dandruff shampoo to cause hair loss (specifically my hair is growing in thinner/you can see my scalp if i put my hair in a ponytail/but no patches or obvious hair loss otherwise) i think my prescription shampoo was the cause of my hair thinning but i have no idea how to know for sure what the cause was. and the earliest appt i could get with my dermatologist is january 2022
My brother had a fungal infection in his scalp that caused hair thinning and loss. It could be that you have been misdiagnosed, the shampoo is doing nothing and a fungal infection is causing loss. I have psoriasis on my scalp and it looks very similar to brother's scalp but my treatments would not work on him. I would read the medication leaflet, if hair loss is a possible side effect it would probably be on there. I hope this helps somewhat :)
Try using the Nizoral anti dandruff shampoo it has I think all of the ingredients and that is also the one she is using her hair with and that’s it the one I’m currently using and I’ve seen massive progress

Dr. Dray am sorry for bothering you but can i have your opinion about Rausch products for anti-dandruff? 😊
Use a natural shampoo without Sodium Lauret or Lauryl sulfate and without Parabens, or use a Baby shampoo for 1-2 months
Hi, Do u have any suggestions on which brand of baby shampoo do u recommend?
@@Skaleezay In Canada/US we have Johnson's for babies - in the baby items area. Johnson's has two products: one is yellow, the other is orange. I've been using the yellow one for the past years, it's the mildest one (it says 'ultra-mild' on the bottle), called 'Head-to-toe wash".
Where are the comments gone to....?
You look great Doc! Thanks for the content! 🤍🙏🏾🕊
Thank you I was using another shampoo that just gave me dandruff now I'm going back to my old stuff I have and use these tips thank you so much!
For me the selenium sulfide works the best
Thank you Dr Dray, this is a great format btw! I do like your longer videos but these are awesome for a quick solution to common ailments.
Please please do a video or short on sensitive scalp!
Have you checked out all of her hair videos? She has a number of videos on hair/scalp care including dandruff/itchy scalp/eczema/psoriasis.
Lemon mixed coconut oil works so good
Apple cider vinegar spray works good too
Lemon freshly squeezed and can be mixed with olive oil too
Washing every three day for 2 weeks and then 5 days a week .
Everytime you washing your hair put lemon oil mix atleast an hour before
Good luck 🤞
dr dray please do a routine short using nizoral and head and shoulders followed by a leave in to combat dryness wnd next
flare
up
Don't forget use apple cider vinegar it helps the shampoo work better overtime
Cider vinegar Diluted with water
Thank you so much this helped very much😁
So we shouldn't use water with shampoo for lathering, just directly apply the shampoo on scalp?
For me from childhood
Dandruff = Head & Shoulders 😅
Hello Dr Dray , I use a Kétoconazole shampoo to treat saborehic dermatitis but it doesn't clean my hair properly , like it's still a bit greasy after shower.
Can I use Kétoconazole first and then rewash my hair with regular shampoo ?
Thank you 😉🤗
Wash your hair first with regular shampoo, then use the dandruff shampoo. The product stays on your scalp after rinsing to keep working.
Have a query some ppl complain anti dandruff shampoos cause more hair fall..what about that?
Thank you for sharing what ingredients to look for in an anti dandruff shampoo 🧴! Super helpful 😊
@@royalmata thanks so much!
@@Vananessaa dove soap bar on scalp?
So leave it on for a couple of minutes does it have to be soapy
Shampoo with Selenium sulphide 2.5% is the best. Worked for me for about 8 years now; scalp and face. The best. Find it on eBay
I need help ive been having really bad dandruff, i just showers yesterday an its already bad. Should i shower more or less, and what are ur opinions on season blue, thats what i use
I had a big curly, frizzy, and dandruf hair, its really tricky for me to treat my scalp without screwed up with my hair..any advice🥺
The whole video was advice?
Hey Dr Dray, why is it that only Nizoral shampoo has Ketoconazole in it? Is it a patented ingredient or something? Cause’ it’s a very good ingredient, I find it weird that other brands don’t use it..
Thank you for sharing your knowledge! Super helpful!
That nizoral stuff is awesome but pricey
I have a question! With people who have shorter hair like men is it a big deal ? Is there ways of doing it ?
Since the point is to get it on the scalp and NOT the hair, I’m not sure why there would be any difference.
What are your thoughts about the EU ban of Zinc Pyrithione?
Would combing it into your hair work best?
I used to use a nipxin shampoo after my heads and shoulders ran out as it was the only option, never again it gave me so much dandruff, after going back to the heads and shoulders, I’ve noticed a complete difference
How often do we use? Mines subsided a lot since I started using dandruff shampoo. Do I still need to use these products frequently?
6-8 weeks and if your dandruff still is bad get further advice from a licensed Doctor or dermatologist.
Alpha keptol shampoO anti dandruff is more gentle oN the hair .
Why does every dandruff shampoo have Blue Dye in it? I genuinely want that to stop. I'm gonna try the Neutrogena T/Sal.
I just went to a pharmacy and asked for an anti dandruff shampoo and it worked great
Could you do a video on products and how to care for sagging and wrinkled neck skin and prevention of. Please?
This is actually a great shampoo for when i am too boiled from the summer heat and salt air
What about all the chemicals in all those products?
Is ketoconazole shampoo good for hair loss especially when its added to minoxidil?
How to treat seborrheic dermatitis on sensitive ears and scalp (Inclusive to Curly hair)?
This is old video , but how many times per week or month for those with ethnic kinky curly hair? And maybe even those with ethnic locs?
I had dandruff in my late teens early 20s back in the 1980s.I used head and shoulders for washing my hair and it went to never return.
Dandruff is so common and harmless that I wouldn't even consider it a disease
❤️ these shorts vids!!! 👍🏼
Hi where can i get that pliz❤
Selsun blue is the best effective one
Wish I saw this video a couple months ago. I used Selsen Blue ONCE and my hair is still falling out 💔
Hi Dr Dray, I tried hada labo arbutin at your recommendation and love it!
Two questions -
-is it normal for the skin in your hands to start peeling from arbutin?
-can you use arbutin and retinol together? I haven't tried just wondering
Thanks again
Ummm I mean I’m not a doctor or a NP but that doesn’t sound normal to me, and I’ve used The Ordinary’s alpha arbutin for a year and a half now. I’ve never had any peeling with it.
Supposedly arbutin gets along with most ingredients. You could put the arbutin on first, let it dry/absorb and then apply your retinol.
Tbh when I buy shampoos like them they don't work with dandruff you can use a scalp scubber
If I’m washing my hair twice, should I do this twice?
Please tell me.... my hair dandruff recommend product
I use selsum blue medicated. Would these other ones be stronger? I've had an itchy scalp since idk how long
How many times a week should I apply it?
I have seborrheic dermatitis and the derm told me to use Dawn dish soap 5x/wk (let it sit for 10 mins) & alternate types of dandruff shampoo 2x/wk. No one in town thought she was any good at her job.
Is selenium disulphide carcinogen?
That's interesting. I've never heard of this condition before. It'd be great for the doc to make a vid to let others be aware of this & learn :)
This happens to my dad, if you are meaning literal salt...
@@ask9087 It feels like tiny grains of salt or sand. It looks like salt. I'm not sure what it is or what causes it.
Did you use a shampoo on your eyebrows, which one?
one question,do you use your nails to massage the hair?
i don't....i use my finger pads. Recently i got a shampoo brush though, and i like that best

Which is best for psoriasis? Salicylic acid?
Ok but how many times in a week should I wash my hair

Safe water! Close the faucet when you don’t need running water.
📖 "I was skeptical at first, but the Ayurvedic ingredients like neem and bhringraj really work! My dandruff is gone, and my hair feels amazing!"
Will dandruff itch? Also can you be allergic to your own sweat? my husbands scalp sweat drives him crazy with itchiness...
What anti-dandruff ingredient is best?
Probably the one that's going to work for you/that you tolerate. She has a number of videos on hair/scalp care including dandruff/itchy scalp/eczema/psoriasis.
Should you use conditioner after?
Yes
Does this apply to kids too Dr. dray?…I think it was a second hand bicycle helmet that did it for him he is scratching his head all the time now
Is this a DHT blocker?
How use this products....
I use head & shpulders but i still have dandruff and my scalp wont be really clean what i have to do?
Can that shampoo be used on a perm too
I remember in an old vid u mentioned leaving it for 10mins is it fine if I leave it on for 2-3mins only?
I don’t think I even leave it on for more than a minute and it has worked well for me as long as I use it on a regular basis. I guess it may also depend on the severity of the dandruff.
@@stacimarie3 I think it's diff for psoriasis pts
is it possible for a dandruff shampoo to cause hair loss (specifically my hair is growing in thinner/you can see my scalp if i put my hair in a ponytail/but no patches or obvious hair loss otherwise) i think my prescription shampoo was the cause of my hair thinning but i have no idea how to know for sure what the cause was. and the earliest appt i could get with my dermatologist is january 2022
@zilla What's the active ingredient? My anti dandruff shampoo contains selenium sulfide, which can cause excess hair shedding (not hair loss).
Where's the treatment?
Dr. Dray, Do you have any recommendations on how to treat covid hair loss? 🥺
How to decide which one is suitable for me?
Try using the Nizoral anti dandruff shampoo it has I think all of the ingredients and that is also the one she is using her hair with and that’s it the one I’m currently using and I’ve seen massive progress
No my hair feels horrific and damaged after every dandruf shampoo I’ve used even the natural ones
She is right but if you have curly hair some of these chemicals are not healthy for your hair search for ones that a suitable for curly hair ❤
Absolutely hate how Head and Shoulders smells..it makes me feel nauseous....
