Could I use this with an old iphone that doesn't have a cell plan? I really like this idea but would be better if i didn't have to remove it and put back everytime i get in and out.
Hey Joseph! Thanks for watching. Yes, you could absolutely use an old phone without a plan. It only requires bluetooth to connect :) While the quick removal is absolutely one of my favorite features, I definitely see what you're trying to do :) Go for it!
Nice video! I have one for about 2 months and love it! But recently the signal between the phone and signal box drops off for a few sec, several times during 350km drive. Each time the signal drops off the box resets data, which is annoying. I have emailed Teslogic but still no answer..
thank you very much for the good video. Could you please check whether you are having problems when you switch through the different screens of the app with the right scroll wheel (FSD switched off). Unfortunately, my distance regulations are changing.
Just got my Model 3 Highland. Scared to damage the fitting on the side when pulling it off, do you know if it's compatible? And safe to remove within warranty? Great video and I liked seeing the autopilot drive like my grandma. haha
This is a great question! Yes! Highland is supported according to Teslogic's site. Don't take my full word for it as I'm not a lawyer, but I don't believe this should interfere with your warranty in any way; there is zero destruction and simply utilizes an open connector port to get it's data. Don't fear removing the panel; I was a bit intimidated too, but these are *meant* to come off. Thanks for watching, and yeah, FSD doing FSD things :D

Agreed. I love the extra information this displays. And honestly the nag for FSD is just a bit more visible with this so I don’t miss it. Also a bit easier to use Siri.
This would actually be a bad idea considering people always grab their phone. Not trying to hate. It’s cool, but simply not a good idea. A HUD or regular display is da way🫡

Great walkthrough and I love that you used fsd to demo features!
Thank you for watching! And guess what? I just received the v2 module! I’ll be testing this and adding a new video soon!
@@nowteslafy I ordered v2 too and its getting here in few days! looking forward to your new review video, thank you
This is what I’m looking for. Thank you for the video! I just hope it would include a wireless front camera. This would be perfect for me.
Thanks for watching Phil! Glad it was helpful.
Curious what you would need a front camera for-
@@nowteslafy my model y doesn’t have ultrasonic sensors. I would like to have the front camera when parking.
@@Phil_p30 have you received the latest update with the 3D park assist? I don’t have hardware 4, but it looks like it improved accuracy!

Thank you for watching! I truly appreciate it. I have not experienced this issue- let me know if support helps you out.

Thank you for watching! I actually have not tried this feature. I’ll test and report back.

Nice. Just wish it had Apple CarPlay 🤷♀️
Yeah Android used to offer “on device” android auto as an app. Wish Apple would do the same. But this is a good solution!

the lack of HUD is the only reason why I wouldn't buy a Tesla model 3/Y
So…now you don’t have a reason?
I don't think it should be a reason to NOT buy a 3/Y, but yes, I definitely love having this as an option!
Been driving a Tesla model 3 for 3 years and was first time without having hud, for me, it’s an easy transition- non issue

If folks don’t have the self control to grab their phone, they have a different problem to solve.
