I'm always impressed with what you do more impressed with those WAL basses, which I don't have the opportunity to have hard to get as well as overpriced around here. Nevertheless, what strings are you using? And what gauge are you using on the w a l fretless, thank you.. Once again excellent
@@charleslambiase5670 I agree, they are great but a bit overpriced and hyped these days. Luckily I bought my Wal when they were more affordable. I normally use Daddario rounds nickel, but I think there are DR rounds on it now. Gauge 45-100.
Excellent stuff as usual Barend...original, quirky, left of centre quality recording. Do you find the thinner.guage strings on the fretless give it more 'mwah" characteristic s? I've seen a few comments mention this elsewhere. Cheers from Oz.😊
@@mcbassman374 Not necessarily. On this one I have normal gauge strings. On my other Wal fretless I use tenor tuning with 030 for the high C. I think in general the thinner the strings the less sustain on fretless. But I think a lower action results in more mwah. But not too low. Thanks for your support Oz!!!! 🙏🙏🙏
idk when or how I subscribed but this is great
@@triptychlux I don’t know either 😀 but thanks!
