    The way that you changed your brakes were simply easy and helpful to anyone that wants to do this themselves I suggest that you watch this video.

    Love for mentioning ChrisFix. You put a lot of effort into your videos, and I hope you keep making them like this. The one comment below me is right - squeaking can come from no lubrication on the back of the pads. If you watch ChrisFix's video, he does lubricate those. If it's a long squeak the entire time you're rolling under brake pressure, it isn't that though.
    Anyway keep up the production quality. Someday mine will look that clean. Only thing I'm not a huge fan of is stancing - it may look nice but the tire wear must be a pita. But it's your thing and your car, so carry on. :) I still love seeing this car on the Illiminate channel whenever you pop up on it. Yours and Jude's S2k are the cleanest ones of the bunch imo.

    It's about time I replace my pads on my BRZ... but I don't know if I need to replace my rotors. I read that it's best to replace rotors at the same time with pads because your pads also need to get use to the rotors, they're like a couple. Pads seem easy to do by themselves, but rotors looks like you got quite a few more steps. I just need the right tools. Thanks for the video! I need to watch more.

    Next time hit some antiseize between rotor and hub. Some on back of pad and caliper to keep squeaks to minimum

    Really good stuff man! I need to change my break pads as well and have been a little unsure that I'd be able to but your video helps a lot. Thanks bro!

  • @ichubbbztv7488
    @ichubbbztv7488 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    a lot of the time if the brake pads still have a bit left and they are squeaking it is because there is no grease or lubricant between the pistons and the pad, and the same on the outside pad and the three little fork things. My workshop uses this method and we rarely get complaints of brake squeal, would highly recommend doing this the next time you change brakes. Not a must, but is highly advised

    You should have sprayed brake cleaner to clean the rotor. Sometimes packagers put some type of liquid protectant on the rotors from outside contaminates. Good to clean that up so pads don’t where uneven or rotor warps

    • @KazHirouji
      @KazHirouji  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nick Tank Don’t worry, I didn’t overlook this step. I cleaned up the rotors before installing, but there wasn’t much oil from the manufacturer.

    Chrisfix uses silicone paste and antiseize in his vid, do you think it's necessary?

    • @Zerybolt
      @Zerybolt 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      ImaDjentleman Its necessary, you make the brake pads glide better and if not you can risk squek sound because they dont go fully back after a normal break because you didnt use brake paste or silicon paste
