The big score though was there were gas powered welders all over and a giant Lincoln like the one in the auction. So we used it as a generator and it powered our tent lights, water cooler, laptop, and whatever else we got our hands on. That was one perk of being a mechanic in a field artillery unit. Nobody questions where you got all the amenities, especially when we built a shower and we could clean off after missions.

Drove a 1999 model of that truck CL 713, E 7 460, 18 speed. The one I drove had 44000 camelback rears. Wasn't fast but it would pull your shop at 70 mph. Loved that ride, long enough to ride smooth, quiet cab, you should be happy with it.

Tiller - gray speaker in front of the steering wheel is two-way comm between drivers. 1,2,3 is for light/buzzer signal between drivers, usually foot switch operated. Headsets are common today but squawk boxes were common as well. Also should have squawk box between ladder operator and whoever is at ladder tip.

Around a 100ft aerial is more or less a standard of the industry. If you have a 50 ft lawn then a 100 ft truck will struggle to angle up and hit the peak of the roof on a typical house.
In moundsview, located @ hwy 10 and 35w. Medtronic moundsview sits. Medtronic is extremely crazy about safety. I used to do snow removal there. You had to notify someone if you spilled a drop of diesel or gasoline. Had to take a specific safety training seminar every year if you worked on their properties. You had to have all fire access roads or sidewalks done at the end of a snow event. I have a feeling they definitely contributed to that fire truck being a part of those 3 cities. They still spend an astonishing amount of money a year on snow removal even though after covid, the building is still basically empty compared to what it used to be. They had an on campus daycare. We would have to clear paths for kids to use during the winter. In the outdoor playground area. They had their own in-house caribou coffee shop. All gone now..
They don't key equipment like cars, so a couple of brand keys will let you run a lot of equipment. As most places don't change the key when they buy them.

Brilliant trees that grow tall and strong, stabilize the soil AND grow well here, as this is their native environment. Virtually no old growth white pine in Eastern Ontario left, which is a pity. Don't know about the northeast US, but I imagine it's much the same.

based on the cab information tag E7-460 this is a 6 cilinder multi injection engine with 454 hp and an enormous amount of torque. Together with the three rear axels this can haul anything you may ever want to purchase and transport. The frame even has enough room to put a sleeper on. It likes to live between 1300 and 1800 rpm. i bet if you dull it up and put a sleeper on you can triple your money.
I drove a Mack trucks for an asphalt company for 6 years. You can't kill those things they are a work tuck. I pulled the lowboy for them and never had any problems out of the Mack. I think you got a great deal on it.

Until the Auto Car Constructor is ready for the road. With some minor service and maintenance ,you've purchased a great truck for the money you invested.
Tha Mack looks like an awesome addition to the fleet! I love the auction videos, I remember going all over the east coast with my dad in the sixties and seventies buying equipment at auctions and looking at the monthly news paper “Rock and Dirt” with equipment for sale.
Every time I see a Mack truck, I remember part of a line from either a song or a movie. He was talking about stepping up from a "Single stack Mack with a window in the back" to a "Double stack Mack with a shack on the back".
The Mack is a perfect addition for what you do. The Autocar will be sweet too but if it's a longer trip the amenities of the Mack will be nice to have.

I had the exact same sae 400. Actually a slightly older model. When I sold it had over 10k hours. Ran perfect. 4cyl diesel. I gouged with it all the time. No problems. Pipeline guys are scared of gouging because everyone turns the machine all the way up. That’s not necessary at all. But yeah and machine will Gouge.

I love Richie Brothers auctions. I have a $375,000 credit limit with them through their finance company. But I don't have any auctions near me in Maine. So I would have to ship it from PA, or Florida. Once a year they have an auction in Boston. But it's still a 3 1/2 hour drive. It would cost me several thousand dollars for some of the equipment that I need.
one thats closer to you richie brothers hold a auction in ontario canada and even closer in nova scotia canada too and your dollar is worth $1.30 up here think about that on big dollar stuff something to think about

Gradually Matt is upgrading special pieces of his puzzle to build his business. Good to see. Hope he can focus on other special projects like the overhead crane and wood furnace, and home. Once those biggies are done he can get back to resurrecting collectibles and old iron worth saving. I’m amazed at his huge following. When I opened his page on TH-cam Sunday morning, there were 40,000 other guys who had already viewed this week’s video. Now, five hours later, the tally is 144,000 and climbing fast. He’s getting many thumbs up, I just wish more would subscribe- that will help him make more of these popular videos. I’m thinking there are many veterans who enjoy Matt as well, might be time to sneak in a military vehicle or piece of equipment. Needs a big diesel creek logo in the mack bumper. Living in UK I never see many vehicles like you see so its an eye opener to see different shapes sizes and sorts of vehicles you have over there and i love it. I dont think I could even fit that mack down my street where I live haha. Very cool.
Matt, the newer trucks are not selling well for a reason. The EPA crap on the newer trucks is a bear to get parts for when the truck breaks. Thus you can't make money with them.
Check out Edison Motors - they are making batteryEV heavy trucks (logging 1st one) with onboard diesel generator (so no range anxiety), regen braking, and off-the-shelf parts as much as possible. Interesting bunch up in Canada.

Tha Mack looks like an awesome addition to the fleet! I love the auction videos, I remember going all over the east coast with my dad in the sixties and seventies buying equipment at auctions and looking at the monthly news paper “Rock and Dirt” with equipment for sale.
Every time I see a Mack truck, I remember part of a line from either a song or a movie. He was talking about stepping up from a "Single stack Mack with a window in the back" to a "Double stack Mack with a shack on the back".
The Mack is a perfect addition for what you do. The Autocar will be sweet too but if it's a longer trip the amenities of the Mack will be nice to have.
Autocar is a work horse but a bit lacking in creature comfort.
Definitely NOT an over the road truck for long distance.

I had the exact same sae 400. Actually a slightly older model. When I sold it had over 10k hours. Ran perfect. 4cyl diesel. I gouged with it all the time. No problems. Pipeline guys are scared of gouging because everyone turns the machine all the way up. That’s not necessary at all. But yeah and machine will Gouge.

I love Richie Brothers auctions. I have a $375,000 credit limit with them through their finance company. But I don't have any auctions near me in Maine. So I would have to ship it from PA, or Florida. Once a year they have an auction in Boston. But it's still a 3 1/2 hour drive. It would cost me several thousand dollars for some of the equipment that I need.
one thats closer to you richie brothers hold a auction in ontario canada and even closer in nova scotia canada too and your dollar is worth $1.30 up here think about that on big dollar stuff something to think about

There are water based rust converters they work wonderful, available on Amazon for a test!

The 15 Kw's had the worst epa (epa 17) for Paccar motors. Cam problems and other issues. Smart buyers were staying away unless they were planning motor swaps...

Gradually Matt is upgrading special pieces of his puzzle to build his business. Good to see. Hope he can focus on other special projects like the overhead crane and wood furnace, and home. Once those biggies are done he can get back to resurrecting collectibles and old iron worth saving.
I’m amazed at his huge following. When I opened his page on TH-cam Sunday morning, there were 40,000 other guys who had already viewed this week’s video. Now, five hours later, the tally is 144,000 and climbing fast. He’s getting many thumbs up, I just wish more would subscribe- that will help him make more of these popular videos.

Hi Matt. The Macks we had at R&L Carriers were the CH Models. We also had a lot of R Models. They bought the last R Models fleet ordered in 1988-89

Needs a big diesel creek logo in the mack bumper. Living in UK I never see many vehicles like you see so its an eye opener to see different shapes sizes and sorts of vehicles you have over there and i love it. I dont think I could even fit that mack down my street where I live haha. Very cool.

Matt, the newer trucks are not selling well for a reason. The EPA crap on the newer trucks is a bear to get parts for when the truck breaks. Thus you can't make money with them.
Check out Edison Motors - they are making batteryEV heavy trucks (logging 1st one) with onboard diesel generator (so no range anxiety), regen braking, and off-the-shelf parts as much as possible. Interesting bunch up in Canada.
Lol you do realize how stupid it sounds to have an "electric truck" with an onboard diesel generator to charge the batteries. Just use a diesel engine instead. @@samjubilee6593
