I LOVE Salem! My husband and I got married there the week of Halloween and it was pure chaos. But turned out great and memorable. My fav vacation spot with the most beautiful soulful brothers and sisters.
Back in March of 2009 I stayed on the third floor at the Salem Inn, Captain West House. One morning at around 3AM I was lying awake on my back and felt something tap the tip of my right big toe. I looked toward the foot of the bed and there was no one there. The next morning I spoke to someone at the front desk about what happened. I was told that there were paranormal investigators on the second floor overnight, and whenever they investigate a floor guests on other floors report activity the next day. They believe that whoever or whatever is there avoids the investigators.
FYI The first of the witch hunts happened in America was in Connecticut. Do some research and you'll find it. hope you didn't miss Danvers original Salem village before Salem split into 2. Historic side of my trip was awesome. The house of the 7 gables and other historic sites are a must. You should take the trolley at least once if you go. Boston is right over the water. The Boston/Salem combo was worth it. If visiting for the first time like she said research first and go during the summer unless Halloween is your thing. However your only missing the haunted happenings, parade, Witch ball and all the chaos and waiting and I stress the last 2. I love Salem in summer its more calming and get to see more. It's Halloween in Salem all year round so if you fear that you wont get a similar experience don't worry. I found the historic, filming locations, ghost tour and witch walk and count Morlocks tours were the top tours I suggest the rest can get quite gimmicky. lastly know where you want to eat, drink and do. It'll make your trip so much better. I thought Melt was the best ice cream in Salem by far.
Have you been to Salem before? Is it on your bucket list?
We were just there in October. Absolutely loved it!
How was it in October for you? I hear its chaos!

Bahaha how inconvenient of them! "Nah we won't talk to you, but I'll go bother this person's feet" 😂
I stayed there too and my sister in law lived in Marblehead . Marblehead was so pretty.
Hi Lauryn !! Salem is on my bucket list
Omg it's so on my bucket list. My ancestors were from there🧙♀️
Oh wow! They had a few places you could look up your ancestors but I didn't stop to check them out.
O went there in the eighties and di not know that I had several ancestors from there. Mary Ayres Parker was one who was hanged. A distant cousin.
It's cool they have a whole directory and you can look it up!
Thats Samantha, Queen of the Witches ♥️
