I gotta agree with salem summers and caramel. I've been to salem multiple times I have to try some of these. My 3 recommendations are ugly mug, the Tavern and Kokeshi. A runner-up for the atmosphere live music at night, and good food is the lobster shanty. You're right about finz. The view is awesome. Suggestion for this series is also times to go to salem. I loved going on July 4th. Warf,parade,fireworks the whole community gathering, snacks,drinks and just a good time.

@@Pumpkinandgray we ate at Dire Wolf a couple weeks ago (was there for Salem So Sweet) and sadly our meals weren’t great but I’m willing to give it another shot. And just wanna say all your Salem content is on point because I feel like you exemplify the way the city makes you feel and it’s hard to explain to other people the way it makes me feel. It’s such a bubble there and the energy is so different and once you fall in love with it there’s nothing like it. PS I def think spring is my fave time to go!

After you mentioned pasta dishes I love pasta so does my mom's side of the family. Me and my mom's side of the family are half Italian and half Sicilian too we love pasta even though my mom's side of the family usually makes there own sauce too for there pasta

I hope you don’t mind me asking but whereabouts do you travel from for your Salem trips since you go often?? Are you local enough that you drive? We lived in RI and are now in CT and I really wish I would take more advantage of how close we are to Salem!
Hey babe! Not at all. However, you may think we’re insane after sharing this 😂🤦🏻♀️. We live in Maryland. So we drive about 7 1/2 hours when we go. We have flown before but we love having the car and sometimes I pack a lot (October trips mainly) and it’s easier and cheaper this way! But it’s a loooooong way lol
My wife wants to go, so we’re going with my 13 year old son and 2 King Charles Spaniels for 4 days in August. Is that enough time? Are there season things there that time of year we should see?
Summertime in Salem is AMAZING! 4 days is absolutely enough 🤍. Heck out the Destination Salem website for a full list of events in case something extra is happening during your dates! But honestly, even if not, you’ll have a blast. Sitting outside to eat, wondering around. Make sure to check out the Common at night and walk over to Goodnight Fatty for late night cookies. And go to the Willows! So gorgeous by the water and the arcade should be open ☺️
We used to love going to Engine House Pizza, unfortunately I had to cut all dairy products from my diet so I don’t know if I can eat much on their menu now.

You should try the Lobster Shanty. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but their lobster rolls are to die for. Plus they have lobster martinis.
