This helps SO much! My child is just like you described, she just won’t do the workbooks or worksheets. We heard about this, but I think this just sold me on it! Thank you! This along CTC math has me feeling like there’s some hope for us outside of workbooks!

I’ve been debating getting Night Zookeeper for like a year now! I’ll get it for the summer for the kids! Thank you for sharing!

I was debating about Night Zookeper. I need to definitely look into it!
My fave supplements are Versatiles and the Learning Pallet. Versatiles is a workbook but one you don't have to write in and you use the tiles to answer the questions. You flip it over and self check your answers to see if it's right! We have loved it. Also the Learning Pallet is basically the same but it has little colored disks you put by the correct answer on a card and you flip that over to self check as well. They are so fun and it's a different way to learn other than having to write! Look into them! They are so fun!!

@aplacetonest She's 12, but she loves writing and video games, so I think it's a win win!

Thanks for this review! I've used TLP for my eldest, but my 2nd child won't sit for that. We've been using MFW as a base curriculum but I want to ensure my son is getting the literature studies he needs. I found another curriculum last year I ALMOST got my eldest, but didn't. It featured a man who dressed like someone from the past & was quite entertaining. I can't remember the name of it & it hasn't come up in any of my searches. If anyone can tell me what the name of this online language arts/literature curriculum might be, I'd appreciate it!

Hi, I'm new to your channel! I'd like to ask if this is can be a stand alone curriculum or more of a strong supplement?

Hi and welcome! No, I wouldn’t consider it a stand alone curriculum.

My daughter just turned 13. Do you recommend a specific level to start regardless of her age?

Have you worked out their scoring? What does it mean to be a captain level 15?

Do you think a struggling reader would be able to use the program? We have a rising 3rd grader having some reading issues. Thank you for doing these videos!

I'm also curious about this! My son is starting to read his on AAR level 1 (about halfway of it)

I would reach out to Night Zookeeper and their informative customer service team should be able to help.

Would you have a recommendations for outsourcing language arts? I was terrible in school and like to be able to provide the best for my son!

    • @aplacetonest
      @aplacetonest  ปีที่แล้ว

If you want to completely outsource it you could do BJU Press' online english program. It's pretty pricey but would be very hands-off for you.

Hi, I've been watching your review videos. I'm curious what you use for Grammar? I have tried both Easy Grammar and IEW and I don't like either of them. I'm concerned the Evan Moore workbooks won't cover enough for this subject. Any suggestions?

Grammar Ace from Sonlight is good and fun if you buy the School House Rock dvd that is supposed to go with it.

We used BJU Press English for several years for grammar and writing. Now that my daughter has a solid grasp of the concepts, we are using an Evan Moor book. What grade is your child in?

Yes, it does but the 50% discount will work on your entire membership.
