He's not starting unless Fields starts getting blown out and Russell comes in and looks good. The chances of both those happening on the same day are slim. Russ is washed and there is no point wasting time that could be used evaluating Fields on Wilson.

I'd argue right now the Bears in particular look worse Caleb than they ever did with Justin and Caleb has a better roster around him than Justin did. Bo Nix was always going to be a down grade, at least initially, from Russ.

Grown up in Utah and Oklahoma big on Sooners and I hate the way he did the Sooners (him and Lincoln Riley 🤦) but loved how the utes exposed his flaws everytime they played full circle fs glad he's paid definitely not a hater that way but even happier he's having a rough start. Because face it he will find a stride and comfort and probably make us both look dumb 🤦🙋🤷

Because he is bad. He's won 2 games, scoring 13 and 18 points. He still processes too slow. He was the problem last year. He doesn't reconize NFL open, he'd stare at open players and hold the ball if they weren't Ohio state open. He also has epilepsy. It pains me to watch his head in particular bounce off the turf. There's a reason Kmet, Moore and Mooney all got paid, while Fields was traded for a 4th to 6th round conditional pick. Watch the tape, you'll see Justin stare at these dudes while there open, hesitate and miss his window. That's why he was late so often on throws. I'm gonna need more than 2 games where they couldn't manage more than 20 points to say Fields is all the way back.

Justin has been humbled. He is a failed first round pick QB1 starter from Chicago (40 starts and 41 T/Os). He was traded for a 6th round pick and possible 4th round if he plays most of the season. He is QB2 on the Steelers team and is playing well in that he is protecting the football. Justin has not played better than Mason Rudolph (QB2) who has had the best two offensive 30+ games under center since Big Ben. If Justin can do that, then you can talk about him being our franchise QB. The Steelers will have a hard time winning with just FGs. Justin did not lose the last two games, but he did not win them either. No TDs in the first game and only one in the 2nd game. Thank you Steeler defense for those wins. I want to see Russell Wilson under center before Justin Fields is given QB1 on the roster. I am pretty sure Russell Wilson did not come here to be QB2.

These two teams are very similar on the Defensive side. Bears D is sick, as is the Steelers. And the Bears have way more talent at receiver. Pitt has an edge at TE and RB. But OL are near the bottom of the league. I'd say the Bears is worse, but Pitt is not good either. The difference has been playcalling. Bears look to have the same issues at playcalling. Steelers recognize they don't have an OL that can hold up so they're calling perfect games with conservative playcalling and then taking deep shots at the right time. That may make the Steelers line look better than it is, but they're not good. And at QB Caleb is still so new to judge, but he's had a terrible start. Justin lived that life over there and people blame him. He had his issues, but look at Caleb missing throws and reads... that's what happens when you have a terrible line and your OC doesn't help you out. Long winded, but these two teams are very similar.. it's the coaching that is the difference.

Everybody picking on Dan O for saying they can beat anyone with him. Winning a SB requires beating the best teams 3-4 times in a row. But beating any time only requires one game. And the Steelers are built to beat anyone on single day. And Dan is right when he says they'll need more firepower on offense when asked about winning a SB. That's b/c you'll need that at some point in a SB run when the defense isn't dominating. As long the offense doesn't beat themselves, this D is solid. And Justin, so far, has not turned the ball over, he has gotten the ball out real quick, and has made some plays down field. Steelers have basically shut down their offense once they get a lead and are asking their offense to run the clock out. I'm not saying Fields for MVP, and I don't think Dan meant that either... he just means the Steelers have a team and style that can beat anybody if they play their best football and Justin is filling the role they're asking out of him.

@@liammatthews9128absolutely, but this team this year seemed locked in. It’s SOOO rare for us to come out the gate playing 4 quarters on defense . This defense looks once in a life time
I’m getting early 2000 flashbacks with kordel and the foundation of a potential dynasty that would have happened if not for Boston
When it’s all said and done , we may have 5-7 all pros on defense currently

You can't win games without points. Chris Boswell won those games.

Bears were always asking justin to score 25+. Anyone makes mistakes forcing the ball and fighting for extra yards. Their defense got better after montez sweat arrived.

As a bears fan im happy for justin. Its the bears. Its not the qb. Its the organization. They wont win a superbowl until the makasky family no longer owns the team.

Lmao if they run into a team that can score more than 16 points they're finished. Dan saying they can beat anybody, and then immediately walking it back when asked about a superbowl win is hilarious.

Defense won’t allow that many points

I don’t see a lot of teams out there that can get more than 16 on our defense if offense continues to not turn it over

Facts! Chicago did JF1 dirty and they know it! This year's Bears offensive line proves it!
