But the *fan base **_didn't want to believe that_** his own coaches would sabotage him like that.* So everyone went into denial mode & said that, I kid you not "the Bears _had to call those plays_ to simplify the offense for Fields because he can't read defenses." Just in order to avoid holding the HC accountable. What I find hilarious about this is that all of this implies that Eberflus was intentionally tanking in order specifically to make it look like they'd have to move on from Fields. They already had the #1 pick locked up thanks to Dave Tepper. But they felt that they _needed to_ make Fields look inept in order to use that pick on Their Choice. So why is their offense _worse_ with all the extra talent they picked up? Because Eberflus is So Inept that he calls worse plays when trying to call better ones & vice versa! Did you *hear* what the Bears' o-linesmen said about how they played? "We're just doing what we're told." If it's Any Other Coach or Coordinator, the player can plead with the HC. If they're saying they're doing what they're told, they already tried that. Or it's the HC who's making the bad calls. It's hard to tell when you know that Waldron also sucks at play-calling.

I'm a Bears fan, I know sorry to hear that. I wanted the Bears to get Frazier so bad, he'll be an All Pro Center for more than a decade. It hurts to see Fields and Frazier starting for the Steelers, but that's why the Steelers win championships and the Bears don't. We get GMs that constantly overreach for QBs and go bargain basement for O Line and wonder why they get fired all the time.

Anyone who thinks the offense we have seen in the first two games against mediocre teams is going to win against Kansas City, Baltimore, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Cincinnati etc. is in for a shock. I see it so often, it's predictable: Defense wants to engineer an early sack, so they stunt their best rusher right up the middle. What offenses should do is take their biggest RB (or a lineman), fake a delayed draw play right up the middle, then QB throws that short crosser over their heads while the stunter eats a helmet to his chest. They were not playing as bad as he made it sound at all. LG is on his 2nd start , Rookie Center Frazier has been awesome, RT Jones had a bad few snaps cause he should be LT. When Fautanu came in the game the rookie he was lights out 0 pressures in like 30 snaps, Daniels was solid and Moore was a bit more up and down this week at LT. When they get Seumalo back at LG it will be better for sure and as the youngins progress this is the perfect time to learn early season and gel.

All that you have learned over your years in the game needs to be passed on. Not every former player will be a good coach, no matter how amazing the player was. Non Steelers fans just have no idea how day and night better this offense is over the last 3 years of a trashcan full of manure set ablaze. HAVE to clean up the offensive penalties though, no way Justin is going to be hitting ~75% of his deep balls all season long, we can't be walking half of those back due to boneheaded mistakes. With how much turnover there was roster wise on that side of the ball, and so much damn youth. I was expecting 6 ppg and an 0-3 start in all honesty, no matter who started at QB, maybe 1-2 if TJ took over a game like he did the Falcons. If they can even average simply 30 mins TOP the first 10 weeks, that will be massive towards that brutal ending to the season. Cause thru 10 last year, our TOP was 27 mins. We're at 34 minutes right now. PPG will improve as the weeks go on.

I'm a Bears fan, I know sorry to hear that. I wanted the Bears to get Frazier so bad, he'll be an All Pro Center for more than a decade. It hurts to see Fields and Frazier starting for the Steelers, but that's why the Steelers win championships and the Bears don't. We get GMs that constantly overreach for QBs and go bargain basement for O Line and wonder why they get fired all the time.

So glad, the steelers got Jaylen Warren more snaps this week. You can see how great of a pass blocker his in from the back field. Plus, it doesn't hurt that he runs like a bull.
Anyone who thinks the offense we have seen in the first two games against mediocre teams is going to win against Kansas City, Baltimore, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Cincinnati etc. is in for a shock. Pittsburgh needs to start scoring touchdowns. They seem to have forgotten how to do this very basic football thing since Ben retired. You can't expect to thrive in today's NFL on a running game that grinds out an endless series of two and three yard runs. No matter how good your defense, they cannot be relied on to bail you out week after week.

I see it so often, it's predictable: Defense wants to engineer an early sack, so they stunt their best rusher right up the middle. What offenses should do is take their biggest RB (or a lineman), fake a delayed draw play right up the middle, then QB throws that short crosser over their heads while the stunter eats a helmet to his chest.

They were not playing as bad as he made it sound at all. LG is on his 2nd start , Rookie Center Frazier has been awesome, RT Jones had a bad few snaps cause he should be LT. When Fautanu came in the game the rookie he was lights out 0 pressures in like 30 snaps, Daniels was solid and Moore was a bit more up and down this week at LT. When they get Seumalo back at LG it will be better for sure and as the youngins progress this is the perfect time to learn early season and gel.

Coach at some level. There are so many teams, at every level, that could use you. All that you have learned over your years in the game needs to be passed on. Not every former player will be a good coach, no matter how amazing the player was. But it seems that you would probably be able to reach the current players. I especially dig the mild sarcasm you inject on occasion.
Of course I’m sure people far closer to you than some TH-cam spectator have spoken to you about coaching. I know you said you were open to the QB coaching position with the Bears, but why limit your options to the Bears, or the NFL in general?
High School Football or College Football (especially FCS or NAIA ) would be even more beneficial for the growth of younger players.
Current players deserve your knowledge, and you must know that. Remember all the coaches and ancillary people that helped you along the way.

Non Steelers fans just have no idea how day and night better this offense is over the last 3 years of a trashcan full of manure set ablaze. HAVE to clean up the offensive penalties though, no way Justin is going to be hitting ~75% of his deep balls all season long, we can't be walking half of those back due to boneheaded mistakes.
With how much turnover there was roster wise on that side of the ball, and so much damn youth. I was expecting 6 ppg and an 0-3 start in all honesty, no matter who started at QB, maybe 1-2 if TJ took over a game like he did the Falcons.
If they can even average simply 30 mins TOP the first 10 weeks, that will be massive towards that brutal ending to the season. Cause thru 10 last year, our TOP was 27 mins. We're at 34 minutes right now.
