If you watch the Panthers, you’d know Young is either not ready, or he wasn’t meant to play as a starter in the NFL.
Starter? I wouldn't even have him as a 2nd string...Some people just CAN'T play ball, it's not for everyone. A lot of people don't realize the gap from NCAA to the Pros is canyon wide and so many players just disappear within 4 years of going pro.

The Penix pick is bad not because of him sitting in developing my guy use some common sense.
The reason it’s bad is because they just signed Kirk Cousins to a massive “win-now” contract and then used the #8 pick a dude projected to go in the 30s who if all goes well won’t play for 3 years, rather than plugging some of the many holes in their roster WITH THE TOP PROSPECT AT THAT POSITION.
The falcons are punting on the next 2-3 years and accepting mediocrity with the hopes that their good players will still be around and will still be good when the time comes for Penix to take over… oh yeah and then they have to pray that he’s as good as advertised and doesn’t continue to have a serious injury problem.
Compare it to the Jordan Love pick. Yes the packers now have a franchise qb… but they also punted on their final 3 years where they coulda contended with THE MVP at qb.
It’s just tough to be so close to contending and then spend a first round pick on a backup qb

We all know how this ends. Dalton looks serviceable for the panthers cementing the fact that Bryce is a bust (for the moment at least) and it’s not just the team around him.
Then the football gods strange sense of humor will show again as Dalton gets hurt in week 4 or 5, forcing Bryce to reclaim the mantle of starter where he has one good game out of his final 10.

I hope not. I want Andy 100% healthy moving forward. Forget the wins. I just want to see productive football and for Canales to get true and proper evaluation on the RBs and WRs that he was never going to get with Bryce under center. I'm convinced, Marshall Jr, Chark and Smith Marsette lost their jobs because of Bryce. Adam Thielen and Diontae Johnson were ready to quit Sunday because of Bryce lol. I think Andy could change people's minds about Mingo and get some honest work out of Legette. Things Bryce was never gonna do.

He's best compared to a prime Russell Wilson or Kyler Murray and besides height, he has zero in common with them. That's not good. Another organization (at best) will only give him the same experience Tua has in Miami. Load the team up with elite/freak talent to better hide his flaws....against bad teams. The pressure on head coaches especially new head coaches to win right now puts some of these good young QB's at risk . Im glad Coach Canales sat young to give him time to develop. I hope Young can eventual realize and live up to his potential .

Canales didn't sit Young to give him time o develop, he sat him because he saw how bad he sucks as an NFL QB and he gave them less than a zero chance to win games. I can't see the Dolphins being dumb enough to trade for him but the NFL has proven logical people are not always in charge of making team decisions.

The HC was given credit for helping Geno Smith and Baker bounce back in their careers. So he had a friendly QB system.

Actually it's not. While I hate they had to gut the defense to pull it off, that offense is set up pretty well. And let's be honest, the reason why Chark, Smith-Marsette and Marshall Jr got cut is because of Bryce. The reason why people are doubting Mingo, Legette, Thielen and Johnson is because of Bryce haha. Those are facts. Besides Bryce getting cussed out in the locker room by teammates, they had to bench the guy because they can't keep signing, drafting, trading and cutting guys every year without honest evaluations. As a panthers fan a lot of talking heads are missing the point here. The coaching staff can’t even evaluate the rest of the offense because Bryce has played so terrible. We all know Dalton isn’t going to take us to a Super Bowl, but we’ve had a legitimate passing game once in the last 19 games and it was last year in Seattle where you guessed it the Red Rifle started and almost won.
You make a good point. New HC has to establish his system and see what parts are missing. You can't do that with captain check down throwing for 80 yards a game.
It was an incredible night and day difference when Dalton came in. It was a striking demonstration of the difference between a seasoned pro and a rookie.

I was thinking snatch him up and let him sit the rest of the year, learn the offense and maybe come in next year with a revamped o-line. But only if the price is right. I have a feeling the raiders will be in a similar position as last year with the draft, just outside of being able to draft a qb. So maybe they can get Bryce and draft the best lineman available?

I think people forget that Bryce Young right now is dealing with the same problem a lot of quarterbacks from Alabama deal with. He's had a stellar O-line, 5 star receivers to throw to and 5 star running backs backing him. He has a fraction of that in Carolina.
Anybody who blames the rest of the team instead of Bryce has not watched any film. He is behind a top-10 offensive line (see the analytics. They are ranked #5 in pass blocking by PFF) and has had clean pockets. He still can’t make the throws, make the reads and push the ball downfield. He’s a fine young man, just not a great nfl QB.

Recent record of most rookie QB's is that they don't get really consistent until years 5-7. A team in rebuild would do better paying for a known quantity QB and draft the surrounding pieces, like wide receivers and defensive backs.

Arch Manning would be smart for Carolina. Haters can say whatever they want. But before Carolina even sniffs the idea of manning, they need to build themselves back to being respectable. And this upcoming draft they better be thinking defense, not QB. Especially if they want a chance at Arch. If they continue to look dysfunctional (which under Tepper they have, hoping he is learning), then I can't disagree with the Manning family telling Arch no to Carolina in some way. Luckily for Carolina there's time before Arch is officially in the draft talks. And even then, depending on how the draft plays out, no guarantee they'll have the number 1 pick or he falls to them.
The problem with the panthers is that the roster is so devoid of talent that it doesn't really matter who the QB is this year. This team has a legitimate shot of going 0-17 this year, but will probably sneak a couple wins in at some point. If they do draft a QB the smartest thing they could do is to say that the guy they drafted tore his meniscus so that they would have an additional season to put a team around him before feeding him to the wolves like they did with Bryce Young.

Instead of drafting a qb 1st why not get players to help the team, you can always find QB's in the later rounds. Joe Montana was a 3rd rounder, Brady a 6th, of course Purdy the very last pick. Too much stock is in a QB these days when the whole team has to be good for them to shine.

Easiest way to start the rehab is fire his coach and take his side. Tell him it's the coaches fault hire a temporary coach. Sit him until next season when he gets a legit coach. Put it in his head he's good it was all the coach's fault. It's not, but he's in his head right now.
