Hope my videos can help a bit 😁. Is fun doing yamadori , i want to collect some trees before spring . And as far as the tree collected is doing really well currently Dormant from winter . 😁
I like elms, not because you are giving one away, but because in Minnesota, I have one that grows inside during the long snowy winters, but mine will take decades to be as nice as that trunk. It's beautiful, and I have a great pot for it.
Great Video I love to Yamadari and like you said in your video I'm not experienced enough to collect a specimen tree, it would probably die in My care.( Respect Nature brother!) I see Bonsai Tree's every where I go too. My Favorite Tree to work on is the Chinese Elm. Great Content!!
Yes that is why i decided to not mess with them and let them be, instead of me taking them and end up not making it. The one i took wasn't going to last out in nature too little soil i think the rain was slowly washing it
Some beautiful trees ! Yamadori is fun ive done it few times i have a couple that made it . Pines & Junipers have to be dug up at the right time . Ive had success with Desiduous trees a couple of Mountain Chokecherrys & a Aspen tree .Took them out of the ground just before the buds started to swell. Great video bro 💯
It really is. I might come back for one of those once the time is right, i need to get more experience collecting , maybe trying with smaller ones first . I really appreciate you watching 😊
Tropicals yes they can be..some others as well but the after care is really important that would be for someone with more experience . End of winter is the best time
@@lifeofbonsai Good to know for tropical plants, didn't realize it was specific to them. In fact, in Italy we usually collect native plants at the end of winter

Hi i recorded the trees but i did not dig any of them. I showed the potential trees. I took one that was yanked off i believe a kayak or something might have uprooted it, i also took a piece of driftwood/deadwood . No harm. I am sure all those trees recorded are still at the property 👍😁
Wow you're so lucky living around this area with wonderful and amazing specimen. I look forward to see the follow-up vids of your collected trees.
Hi it's a beautiful place. The tree was already out the ground when i got it. Seem like a boat might have uproot it. It didn't make it
@lifeofbonsai try again Sir... happy hunting and growing.
Wow what a nice adventure ,,, i enjoy the elms as they have small leaves...but a tree is a tree an great joy to work with them all...keep filming !!!!

Hellow plz mention name which sand & soil or any other fertiliser use in bonsai plants thanks
Hi. I use regular miracle grow or osmoco fertilizer . Also i use Akadama, lava and pumice mix for soil
My favorite trees to work with are American elms, it sounds fake but I've collected many from my land and they're super cool
I definitely believe it. Have to invite me to collect some day haha . Elms are just though
I'm from Indonesia
is it even save in summer to dig them out?
Tbh not the best option . For me i decided to do it because i won't be coming back here in a while a far drive . But safer during dormancy
