That was a wonderful touching moment when his Dad saw the car for the first time in 37 years. Fantastic job on cleaning the Mercedes. Loved the video. Well done.
I love video's like these. I wish you could show the whole restoration process but I understand that your part is only this step in the restoration process. Thank you for the video nonetheless.
A Mercedes 280SL Pagoda and a very happy family. So rewarding to see the smile on his face.
You definitely need to do a follow up video when the car is restored
Loved his Dads reaction really hope we get to see what he thinks when it’s done.
Imagine they pulled this car back into garage, and then forget about it AGAIN for 37 more years...
AccentIsRussian :/
I doubt it though haha
AccentIsRussian I’m dead
Hahaha
Then they need to pay for my internet back. 😂
This is a channel I didn't know I needed in my life. The level of satisfaction my soul gets from the level of cleaning you guys achieve is indescribable. Carry on fellas.
Absolutely amazing job. The father's smile @ 15:28 says it all.
His dad is still working at 83 years of age? The level of detail you guys go into is amazing and tiring at the same time. Great video
16:05 pass it down to his grandchildren? Oh man, it's gonna be wrecked in 6 months...
The son is still young, he should be the one driving it!
comumpintor you really think he won’t drive it or what?
He 83yo. Grandkids could be in their 40s.
@@jaywest4102 and could also be teens/20s
Dude is born in 1981. Grandkids 18 years old
you acting like all teens driving crazy we just be crusin fr
Son earns credit for this barn find, i would love to take this SL out for a nice ride, love the color stood the test of time.
Eww it's so old
i would actually drive this car with pride in 2019. this is such a classic, priceless!
Twe Foju well yea who wouldn’t, it’s not a dodge neon lol
My neighbor has a brown one I've been trying to buy from her for years. There's something special about those cars
@@MoooseBlood Even if its in bad condition its worth big money
Man you guys really make car detailing into an art form, I love it.
I love the little giggle of delight when he sees his old treasure shiny again.
His reaction made me want to like this video 1000 times. Super sweet.
Story Walsh I agree, his smile lit up my day
I loved the Dad's reaction, the old Mercedes deserved a good cleaning and restoration, I hope to see it when it's done!
Nice Job Boys!
17:05 is the moment when he realized: He's not gonna give him a fistbump
Lmfoa 😂
I was searching for this comment
Love the fact the Old guy still going to work up town every day. 👍
With the taxes in Jersey he probably HAS to.
Word
Frank Nowakowski, truth.
@Y Marina you guys are making it hard for us jersey natives to stay in jersey
@@franknowakowski3103 I don't think he has to i think he just enjoys working.
To see the look on the his face....Utterly priceless!
What a great job AMMO NYC!...
His reaction was beautiful. As someone who is attached to an old car and planning on restoring it “someday” I can totally appreciate this.
What a beauty! Hadn't watched you creating your magic in a while, and I am here again thanks to your Hagarty visit. Thanks!
What a beauty! Those old Mercedes cars were absolute masterpieces!
@MDS True, heartbreaking but true.
@MDS Exactly! You could always guess the differences between an old Mercedes and an old toyota! Although I am not saying they are crap right now because I think they still pack some luxury but it's sure is deteriorating.( even the new "X-class" by Mercedes is a rebadged Nissan Navara!)
Btw thx for protecting villagers
@@AlexGonzalez1 it doesn't matter if it kills me or not, I have given my life to protect the village at all costs!
The moment Dad showed up brought tears to my eyes. Oh, the value of love and teamwork is unbeatable.
Liked and subscribed.
Cheers from Denmark, Scandinavia.
This was so satisfying and so precious to watch. The owner's reaction was just priceless. He definitely had a moment. I cried! Can't wait to see the update after it's been revamped!😍😍😍
i love how the son more excited than the father, always the love the passion you have for every car you touch.
A detailing video that also pulls on your heart strings. Thanks for posting.
Ahh man I couldn't help but smile when his face lit up and he turned a big smile. So genuine and amazing 😊
I never truly appreciated classic cars when I was younger but MAN do I want one now!
Aresh Saqib that’s awesome dude I’ve always loved classics I’m 16 now and my dad is selling his 68 ford fairlane 😢 we’ve had it for almost 10 years
@@brettcarlow5779 Man that is awesome to hear! Im torn between buying a Tesla or a classic 🤷♂️
Aresh Saqib If you get a tesla you will never regret it try test driving one
Ben Mackay i love classic cars but teslas are no match
Haha
How anyone can give a thumbs down is crazy. I'm a 71 year old woman. I'm totally addicted to this show. I don't know why, but it relaxes me.
I am very happy to see David's dad smiling, its so positive for my soul.. 👍👍👍
The dad's 83 and still works?
Thats the actually biggest thing in this video!
Proper Old School !
"i aint dead....so i'm off to work, honey!"
BUT....
There is a cheeky part of me that's a lil like "Bye Honey, i'm going to "Work" now"...
goes off to the Old Boys Club to smoke cigars, eat steaks and drink the most splendid cognac.
Heh heh heh heh.
I’m speculating. Dad probably owns the company and is basically there as overseer watching place. Most of the daily operations are handled by younger workers.
He probably can because he was turned off and on again
What I was thinking
Tha smile on pops face was worth a million bucks + tax
That old man's smile warmed my heart ❤ How sweet and what a great job you guys did!!!!
Wow thanks TH-cam for this video. Haven’t watched good videos lately
Sure Zane 😀
I just washed my car this afternoon. Suddenly TH-cam gave this video recommendation, very strange. But yes, this is indeed a good video and channel. I like it very much.

The look on his father’s face when he saw his car was priceless!!
Great job👍🏻👍🏻
“I was born in ‘81” .. “I have shirts older than that”.
His son looks much older than 38, I thought close to 50, damn...
The cameraman was born in 1981. The son was born in 1972 according to the video.
@@soolew7 Ah my bad, so it's true, his son is closer to 50 then 40 :).
Uh-oh :)
@@bakedrice1 My reply is usually, "I have boots older than that". And indeed I do.
Nothing is more enjoyable than an old man getting happy over his old car being restored... Thank you guys!
I used to have a 1976 450 SEL. It wasn't in perfect condition but it ran smoothly and still looked good. I always wanted to save some money and restore it and make it look like new, but tough economy times presented and had to sell it.
I felt happy for those guys while watching the video, something I wish I could have done for my dad. I currently drive a 1997 Jeep wrangler, which was my first car.
Yes because all we were meant to do in life is work and die
so you better keep it someday your kid might restore it for ya
After working your magic, seeing the owners face at that moment has to be pure gold... A fantastic effort, and story, thanks for sharing!
Oh how I wish my dad were still around to surprise him with something like this. Beautiful.
You could restore his coffin?
@@pyromaniac354 nah
@Sam Yeah. Really was.

Good on you for cleaning the car
Just gonna ignore the missed fist bump at 17:04😕👊
It is called fisting.
Okay, good on ya. Ignore it then.
Jesus thats some serious secondhand embarrassment
@@MrDewanchand shut up I know it as fist bump
I saw that and kinda felt sorry for him. But if you look at it the video he wasn’t paying attention and the other guy gave him like a bro pound on the shoulder and then he went in for one😂😂
I can’t imagine how emotional this moment was for the owner. That beautiful Mercedes definitely deserved a second chance. Good job 👍🏼
The father had such a beautiful reaction. So genuine.
The feeling of pride to impress DAD .. is simply phenomenal ..♥️♥️
I always thought creating a new car is the most rewarded thing in life, until I see this video. Memory is important to be recreated too. Thank You AMMO NYC for teaching me a lesson in life. Thank You.
