I am life long Pontiac lover. You found a rare and very desireable "HO" High Output 455?! There is no way this should of been thought of as crusher material. This car was one of the few Heavy Breather Pontiacs that was produced at the tail end of the Muscle Car era! My parents' second car was a Camaro with the Corvette style tail lights and the same red paint job. My dad loved the car but was forced to sell it when gas prices went through the ceiling. He once borrowed a friend's Corvette (late 1980s model) and NEARLY decided to get one because it was the fastest car he had ever driven at the time. Everything about this vid was perfect Larry's kind Heart his childlike nerdy passion bleeding through as he starts the process the walk through talk through another Ammo masterclass
It’s really all about the story and how a car makes you feel than what it’s worth or what other people think of it. Too many people use cars as a means to flex wealth or to try to impress others
That's what brings the magic to classic cars. Every one of them has a story that multitudes of people have been involved in. Just because you can stick your foot through the floor of an old Le Mans doesn't mean its ready to end it's story.
Love the guy at 10 mins 18, the looks of a man of that age either waiting on bad news of his car at the mechanics or sat in a waiting room awaiting a prostate exam!
Wow. If only every antique vehicle owner had this done right after they salvaged it, they might just have the motivation to keep going with the project.
This video gives me so much hope. My dad has a 1979 Type LT Camaro that’s been sitting in our yards for 20 years and I wish I could bring it to y’all to clean it. I dream all the time of restoring it for him one day
Around 2004, I was at an auto parts store in Jersey along route 10, near Whippany where I worked at the time. There was pristine 1972? With an SD 455. The owner was a retired pilot. He had factory spec'd the car in order to prepare for the gumball rally, which ended up being canceled due to the gas crisis. Route 80 was still being built out, and he and his buddies would due speed and gas consumption trials on it, before it was completed. There is nothing like getting an automotive history lesson from the people that lived it. Great job Larry. Give us an update if you can, as I am a fellow Queens car guy. Thanks!

So I just gotta say, I’ve been watching and enjoying Larry’s channel since the beginning. I like detailing my own vehicles. It’s good exercise and rewarding. Today my daughter came by in her 2016 CRV. I don’t think it’s been washed in a few years. So while she and my wife/her mother hung out, I decided to wash it. It truly gave me a whole other level of appreciation of how hard Larry works. My vehicles are easy to wash. Try washing a car that hasn’t been cleaned in years. 😳
People that say burn and demolish old cars rather than restore them should never be let near vehicles as they are a gateway to the past and a huge key to unlocking history we never got to see

You're so early that you only watched a few seconds of it. Shush
@@tatertotgaming863 ooof 😂

Everything about this vid was perfect
Larry's kind Heart his childlike nerdy passion bleeding through as he starts the process the walk through talk through another Ammo masterclass
This video gives me the an idea to start the restoration of my 1977 T/A that's been sitting for 25 years. Thanks guys.
The difference between just doing a job and being enthusiastic about it.
you not only master at your craft but you also restore love in your many techniques of detailing. Thank you
You are one in a million Larry, the way you go above and beyond just amazes me and makes me love everything you do
This video gives me so much hope.
Thanks!
Hey I live very close to the area you are describing. Which auto parts store was it?
@@speedier6307 was probably the Pep Boys on 46. He was definitely local to the area, and I get the feeling he was still hooked into the car scene in some way or another.
@@lewisbeshers1946 oh wow I’m actually from that area. That’s crazy that someone from a comment section is talking about Parsippany/Whippany
Love that he restores any condition of vehicle
He doesn't just stick with new and crazy cars
Well that was so good, I’d love to see the transformation down the road as they restore it. A nice follow up video for the future. You really put some heart and soul into this one.
Thats called being a professional!!!! Giving hope to our clients for their cars!!! Keep up the good work!!!
As a car lover these videos are such a delight to watch. The future generations can learn a lot, about how to preserve, protect, and lastly love your car. Love from India
Such a beautiful car glad to see people still trying to bring old cars back to life
thank you 4 saving this classic ✊
As a ta owner and lover for over 30 years...this was an amazing transformation just to get it to its look now...👍👏🤜🤛
Good on you for helping save this rare classic TA.
You are one of the greatest guy I ever met in a video with a great heart to motivate these old folks to restore this car I have seen worth bless you my brother God is watching over you guys.
As always TV quality video Larry! Well done! I hope to meet you someday and say thanks for all you've done for the automotive community!
Looks a hell of a lot better than it did before. Car's like this, it is all or nothing. Complete restoration would be well worth it. Frame, Engine, Trans mission, body work, new interior, so on and so on. Great project car!
That is the most realistic episode yet! Go to the dollar store, get dish soap, tape, zip-ties, glue, trash bags, spray paint and get to work! Maybe some gloves too lol
The wheels, and even more, the thrill of these guys when they get the engine running, are highlights.
Some people save cars that are in worse condition, so if you don't understand this one - you won't realise what love we have for cars
Do you guys get as much satisfaction from cleaning these cars as we do from watching you clean them? It is extremely satisfying for us, found your channel a month ago and i cant stop watching
Who else finds these cleaning videos extremely satisfying? Lol
That is the only reason I watch these
Every saved Pontiac is a win!
I love those since I was sitting in one on a car show. Unfortunately I'm living in Germany and getting one isn't that easy here....
One day I'll have the money to go to the states and get myself one of these!
I'd love to see a revisit of this car in a year's time, see how they got on!
After watching tons of these, car washes will never be enough for me anymore.
Never destroy a Pontiac. They are always worth saving.
Says no one under 50 years of age
Even in that condition its still a beautiful car. This car needs to be brought back to its former glory.
Doesn’t hurt that Pontiac Trans Am values are skyrocketing
You are correct about that
i really admire this kind of restoration, even though it looks like hopeless you didn’t hesitate on doing it, and that’s what you called “passion”.
Cool channel, Bro! One of my Subscribers helped me find your channel. I am a newbie at Car detailing and I hope to learn a lot from your channel. ⭐️
What's up Jason? You'll thrive in this field especially with detailing/shining. Didn't expect I'd you see here. Shinatown!

Hopw your doing good!
I love this, You take something most people would would replace rather than restore, like the door panels and scrb the dirt off with the orbital. Just to make sure the inspiration is there for a young guy to get hooked and be a car guy for life! Excellent work love the content and the studio!
Anyone remember when this chanel was called "Drive along" or something like that?
It was “Drive Clean” back in the day.
"Its like shooting BB's at a tank"
Larry Kosilla - 2020
I think it's 2021.
People that say burn and demolish old cars rather than restore them should never be let near vehicles as they are a gateway to the past and a huge key to unlocking history we never got to see
I think Larry’s videos are the only videos I like before watching every single time.
The time and materials spent cleaning this car is move valuable then the car. But man it’s nice to see it come back to some sort of life. Great job as always Larry and crew. Cheers
I don’t have access to water so I’m totally interested in the pro foamer 😳
What? Are you in Texas and they still haven't fixed your pipes or something?
@@joshuamorehead6124 Could be in NY where they have to wear masks in a car by themselves. 🤦♂️
@@joshuamorehead6124 no I’m in Los Angeles California, but I live in an apartment building. So I rely on “waterless washing” or public self car washes. I have a pump sprayer and it makes cleaning a whole car a breeze with only 2 gallons of water surprisingly. But this foam sprayer would be great for lifting the dust easier
What part of LA do you live at bro I have a IK foam pro 12 that I’ve been trying to get rid of
