Adrian I've watched many of your videos, interviews and by far you are the best and very humble. I love your fishroom and everything outside as well. I am in US so can't make it out there but for me it would be a pleasure to see it all in person. This has been my hobby since i was a kid , im 65 now so i only have 6 tanks.
I wish you the very best, keep the videos coming 👍
Oh wow… Thank you so much for your kind words, it means a lot to me and so nice of you to say that. I truly appreciate your support and feedback. Thanks so much 🙏👍🏻❤️🐶
Always amazed by your fish room. Thank you.
Thanks so much for your support and I really appreciate it. 🙏❤️🐶👍🏻
I hope Kaity's Cichlids is right down the road so you can show her the ropes of farming. You two have the same vibe which is from watching your vids resilience, work ethic and kindness. Thanks keepingfishsimple for introducing me to these 2 beautiful people. Love is the law.
That’s really nice to hear, thanks for the support, I really appreciate it and no I think she is a fair distance from me. I don’t mind, however, and I’ve already offered Give her a hand if she needs it, and of course to let me film her new Fish tank set ups lol Kaity is awesome and I’m always happy to help her out ❤️🐶🙏👍🏻
production quality is fantastic, well done
Much appreciated! Thank you for your support🙏👍🏻❤️🐶
oh, oh I see the new camera has paid off:) 👌
Thanks I’m really pleased you think that it is improved the quality that’s great news. Thank you for your support.🙏❤️👍🏻🐶
@@AdriansFishroom Yes the quality is so good Adrian. We see the effort and appreciate it. Just one criticism, the sound is good but it can improve. Maybe it's me it seems soft on some parts, have to turn the TV way up. Still love watching the vids..
As a Plumber, you'd make a good Mechanic. After all, aren't Engines just big Air Pumps? Ha ha! Enjoyed this mate, cheers!
Haha that's a good one! I really appreciate your support and man I’m lousy with engines ! 🙏❤️🐶
Excited to see all the new tanks get filled with fish. It is not easy to have a family, balance work and maintain a fishroom + mini zoo + TH-cam channel.
Well done my friend!
Thanks a lot for sharing what you do. Really appreciate the effort. All the best for the future plans ahead. Cheers!
Thank you so much for your support, it means a lot!🙏❤️👍🏻🐶
Thank you dear Adrian, I love watching your videos. I love Zigy and all of your animals❤❤❤😊
Thank you so much for your support. I really appreciate it and I’m stoked that you like the content of the videos as it truly makes it all worthwhile for me when producing them.🙏👍🏻❤️🐶
Love these long videos! Can't wait to see that new 8 footer come to life!
Thanks so much! I really appreciate your support. 🙏❤️🐶
Cheers on the water change system from the USA. I love your fish room!
Thanks so much for your support I really appreciate it and especially from all the way over in the US of A !❤️🐶👍🏻🙏
It's a quite complicated set-up still you made it look easy, amazing.!
Thanks so much! I try to make things as simple as possible, but sometimes it’s not that easy! 🙏👍🏻❤️🐶
@@AdriansFishroom yes and it reflects in your tanks, how cristal clear they are, the place you are living is an heaven.! 😍❤️🙏🏼
Thanks to you and Blake’s Aquatics video on his continuous siphon setup, my water changes are about to be a piece of cake compared to what they have been!
You are most welcome and glad that you are about to enjoy the benefits.🙏❤️👍🏻🐶
Love this system! Yet another great video! Now I just need to own a house and dedicate a room or garage to my dream fishroom 😂 Ain’t gonna happen, so will settle for my 5 aquariums throughout my house and live vicariously through Adrian. I was trying to figure out how to fit another tank in my house, because I want a 4-6 footer, I could start removing the couch, the beds and other important furniture…maybe 🤔😱
Ha ha classic, and yeah agree with most of those suggestions. I really appreciate your support and your feedback and thank you so very much.🙏🐻❄️🙏❤️👍🏻🐶
Adrian, it's great that you have shown people you don't have to bucket out of or into your tanks, I got into the hobby just under a year ago and very quickly the bugger it factor jumped in, "there has to be an easier way to do this" , so from dragging the hose through the house to fill, and pipe out the window to empty it, I set up a 25mm pvc system with taps to change water in my first 2 x 5 foot tanks now a 3 foot tank included as well, I love playing with irrigation it is almost like playing with mechano or lego, for maybe (depending on how many tanks you have) a hour or 2 once to set it up, you save regular hours of back breaking work bucketing the water out and in every water change.
I notice that you haven't used overflow pipes in the tanks? In this video you said you had overflowed at least one tank, to have a overflow pipes would be invaluable in your huge system I would think.
My system is a simple one, but even that got me thinking a few days ago, what if I had to go away or in hospital for a few weeks (I live alone) how can you explain to a stranger to your system how to operate it? It's like moving onto a large property and the previous person didn't leave you a mud map of all the taps in the home made irrigation system they had created and been using for decades, it might take you months to work out how the system works but in the mean time you are spending hours a day just keeping plants alive by hand watering.
I suggest you spend (if you haven't already) some time making a notebook diagram of your systems that is clear enough a stranger can walk in and keep your system running from the get-go and make things obvious like having taps located in plain sight even labled (good old dynamo labeller)
Same with feeding your babies,
I have also been using * boxes of 4 arlec Smart switches plug in socket with energy meter* switches (55$ for 4) from bunnings for well over a couple of years around the house and tanks for lighting mostly.
I have them set via a routine on my android pH to beable to turn lights on or off, my CO2 at 7pm and 7am, even have my temps monitored to beable to remotely turn off the heaters if I need to, when I have to go to Perth for a few days,
They are well and truly worth looking into.
Great video Adrian, thank you

Thanks for sharing your awesome set up Tony! I agree a clearly labelled diagram and a little more planning would be really helpful for my system.
Thanks so much for your message and your support 🙏👍🏻🐶🦘❤️🐍🍺
@AdriansFishroom your welcome Adrian, from what I have seen a lot of innocent people haven't considered easy water changes for their tanks, I imagine that is one of the main causes for a lot of people leaving the hobby, kids want a fish tank, mum and dad obliged kids get tired of fish tank, yup just another addition to the work load of mum and dad....
Anything people in the know can share with those who don't, has to be a help.
Kaitys Cichlids has a great opportunity now with her new rural estate, it will be interesting to see how long it will take before she has many tanks (her only limit is she is on tank water, but maybe filtered dam water will help or if possible a bore
Cheers mate I wish 2025 is one of Huge growth for your channel, giving you an early retirement from your day jobs.

Another belter of a video! ZIG makes me giggle so much he's definitely been here before Adrian, I've just acquired another 4ft from a friend which I definitely need for grow outs! Thanks for talking about this subject because auto water change systems are so confusing to me. Love to see everything thriving under your care! Excited for the new tank set ups. I’m currently setting up my own fishroom and while much smaller I am completely inspired by you and yours.

You’re very welcome, I hope it helps 🙏❤️🐶
Great setup mate, I used to own 6 tanks 10+ years ago and that was a nightmare for water changes.
Just got back into the hobby with 1, but that always multiplies 😂, can’t wait to even have 2 or 3 and setup a manifold and pipe work for ease
Yeah, it really is a nightmare, isn't it ? Luckily this setup really helps take a load off. 🙏👍🏻❤️🐶
Thank you for sharing your passion and giving me inspiration in my fish keeping. I still use buckets in my room but my back is starting to complain. Maybe I need a change in my tank care habits and set a water changing system.👍
Thanks so much for your support and I hope you find something that works for your back! I would recommend the effort to do it this way as I can assure you it makes water changes a breeze! And if you don’t have a coopers (only one lol) then you will almost never over flow the tanks. Thanks so much for your support 😂🙏👍🏻🐶❤️
Great video
Love the idea of the overflows on those tanks.
Would make it so much-easier to do water changes.
Like you said just need to keep an eye on the flow so it’s not overflowing everywhere, we all done that.
😂😂
Great videos keep them coming
lol yep and Thanks so much for your support! I really appreciate it!🙏👍🏻❤️🐶
Amazing video! I cannot wait to see all the new builds to come in the near future!
Thanks so much! I appreciate your support 🙏❤️🐶
Oh mate! You started it!
After you made and video of that first permanent drain your your neighbor's tank, I made one of my 75 gallon tank (about 280 L). What a worksaver that has been! Not I've just got to stop overflowing it. My neighbor always seems to come by when I'm in the middle of refilling it.
I've got a rack with nine tanks one it. I'm making a parts list and the beginnings of a design for a system while I'm watching. Thank God for the pause and backup buttons! 🙂
Thank God for concrete floors! :-) I've got an Aponogetun ulvaceus - very similar flower. They really are beautiful plants! Oh my! And that Crypt flower is amazing! It reminds me of some sort of a terrestrial carnivorous flower. :-)
Cheers, and thank you for this one, Adrian! ~Ron
Thanks Ron! It’s really great to hear that I can help you with your tanks!
I really appreciate your support bro 🙏❤️👍🏻🐶

have been brainstorming on how to do my weekly water change of 300ltr this is a great help ! as i have no drain and a rental i will drain into a hidden 20l bucket with a pond pump, outlet pipe out the window onto the fruit trees. will use your manifold idea that will remain on 24/7 with valves at each tank. hose and drain pipe going out window will be covered with black conduit and everything cable managed tightly should turn out amazing and rental friendly
That's a great idea for a water change system for a rental, thanks for sharing. I really appreciate your support.❤️☝🏻🙏👍🏻🐶
If you go to a hardware store (like bunnings if in Australia) you can get non holed pots/tubs or storage buckets around 50L in size. We personally have white barrel type ones that are around 60L. The long storage tubs around 60-100L are not too bad either so long as its not the really cheap plastic ones from a cheap shop. Get a slightly better version and they usually are ok.
Id be careful with only 20L as it could overflow pretty easy. Another reason for a bigger container is if you are doing more than 20L water changes its easier to measure and not waste dechlorinator refilling if thats how you do it. I believe Prime is like 1ml per 100L so a 100L bucket is easy to treat and not waste. A 20L you are trying to measure a 5th of a ml and might end up using a lot more than needed.
But we did have a similar idea to what you're saying, I think. We used the white barrel to drain/gravel vac our tanks. Then, a 2000LPH pond pump hooked to a garden hose fitting. And then pumped outside.
We then refilled by hooking that hose back up to a tap and pumping back into the white barrel, treating the water, and then using the same hose again to fill each tank. We used a silicone garden hose, I believe it was, very soft rubber hose, and it worked well. Normal garden hoses are a bit stiff and harder to move around.
You can get a fitting to screw onto indoor faucets and taps to connect a hose to them aswell if an outdoor tap isn't easy to use. Theres also diverters (like for RO setups, or on sink water filters, etc) to set up a different line, but they will be slow.
Also, have a good look at the pumps spec you want to use. Most dont have much head height power. My 2000lph drops to about 200lph with about a 5m head on it. When you then add in a decent length garden hose, it struggles with any height to it at all. We had an IBC outside roughly the same height, and the higher level tanks, it struggled to fill with our 30m hose.
All Set 65L Assorted Colour Recycled Rope Bucket
nylex Flexstreme hose
Those are what we used from bunnings. Quite cheap. That bucket was good and still being used now a year or 2 later though its outside with plants now and the white barrel is in use instead.
Looking great Adrian thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks so much! I really appreciate your support. 🙏❤️👍🏻🐶

Imagining the day when Adrian earns enough from this channel to become a professional, full-time YTer and can pump out stacks of his interesting, informative and funny videos. Though the beer count would never change!!!!!!!!!! 😆

Cool shirt btw. Love the puppy fish room helpers. My little one loves to sleep nearby. Or bark at nothing in the street.😊
Going to watch this properly later as I have a rack setup with a half IBC to the side and I really want a permanent automatic cycling system as the IBC will be part hydroponics. Really arent confident to drill them myself.
Thanks so much for your support and I really appreciate it and that’s so funny about your puppies. It seems to be a treat with us. Fish keepers. Best of luck with your IBC and hopefully it will produce you a ton of happy fish with babies. 🙏👍🏻🐶❤️
@AdriansFishroom thankyou. And good luck with that new addition you just purchased. I can't wait for your video on it.
Great vid,
Love the room and love your t-shirt.
The panning was much better this vid mate. Just a thought have you ever painted your aviary wire before. All mine were painted black water based paint and it changes everything birds light up because they’re easier to see. You can use a roller on a warm day. Anyway great stuff mate.

Thank you so much for your support, I truly appreciate it!🙏❤️👍🏻🐶
Thank you so much I’m learning plumbing from you for my fish room. Do you siphon the gravel at all or does the water change help cut that tile down?
I usually don’t have to siphon the gravel at all, but yes, in the event that I did I would certainly do it the old-school way. I find that with enough airflow and water movement. I don’t need to clean the gravel at all and I’ve also got eitherCory‘s or plecos in there to assist. Thank you so much for your support. I really appreciate it🙏👍🏻❤️🐶
Great video. Why dont you strip the fry of the Malawi cichlids?
They are too hard to catch usually… plus it’s way easier if they raise them not me lol 🙏❤️👍🏻🐶
Love the L catfish cleaning the out side of the tank that's quirky !
Ha ha… me too 🙏👍🏻❤️🐶
Could you add a second vent stack to the washer vent/drain and drain into it?
Possibly but I think a water trap would do the job better thank you so much for your support. I really appreciate it.🙏❤️👍🏻🐶
Adrian, it’s not the blue lights that make your plants flower, it’s your positive energy!
Ha ha… very nice of you to say thank you 🙏👍🏻❤️🐶
Drill a hole at the level u want the water to stop so u wont get an overflow or accidental drain too much. Just a thought maybe🤔
Pretty interesting siphoning system, Iam guessing if the water never goes below the end of the hose it wont lose its prime correct? I actually like this idea alot better than the common DIY one that kinda imatates a toilet that the king of DIY uses.
Yes you’re right! I’ve been using this setup for a few years now and love how simple it is. 🙏❤️🐶👍🏻
@@AdriansFishroom Well youve convinced me to try this method out thanks!!
For some strange reason when watching your vids my beer counter always read 1! Cheers, any calibration will now be done watching your vids. On a serious note, when draining AND filling simultaneously are you adding dechlorininator?
Ha ha ha classic and I have no need for a declorination as I have my whole house set up on a decent water system that removes most of the toxic crap they put in our water at the entry point to the house.🙏❤️👍🏻🐶
@AdriansFishroom Is it just sediment filter and carbon type?
Still putting an 8 ft in the gym area or is the house full sign up 🤣 really informative vid and interesting.
Thanks, I appreciate it! I will definitely keep making informative videos… and don’t think an 8 footer will fit now lol
another great video, I just use a power head with tubing attached to it and run it to my bathroom sink. 20 feet of tubing will reach all 15 of my tanks. In about 1.5 hours I can water change all of them. I do like the look of those water distribution valves you are using. Are they the type used for sprinkling systems or some other use? Just curious, is Kaitys new place close to yours? Looking forward to the next video.
Thanks so much for your great tip and I’m not sure about Kaitys location but you know she’s always welcome here and hopefully she will let me do a tour of her new place someday 🙏❤️👍🏻🐶

@@AdriansFishroomno problem mate. Been watching from the start. Definitely inspiring me to scape more of my tanks. And if you drink beers you definitely need a wet vac on hand 😜
Quick question is this the most cost officiant way? And yess please Adrian... I personally believe we viewers love your whole property and animals. I personally loved seeing the dingo on your farm and cluck has a great personable character.... love the new tanks id be the same....plus you live in such wonderful country for wildlife.....and salt water isn't as hard as you think.... watch Kave man Aquatics..... Or the Aussie Fish Keeper. You have so many places where you can gather natives and enjoy them... Love the expansion idea
Thanks so much for your support and feedback. I really appreciate it. Yeah there’s some very cool fish keepers and also tons of locations to get natural scaping materials around here. I agree.🙏👍🏻❤️🐶
Adrian - Off topic question about your Blue Acara video: I wanted a few for my 5 foot community tank. But I had a 6cm Male once ( temporarily in a quarantine tank ) and he was a guppy killer. I then read reports of them attacking angelfish, gouramis, even barbs - if they're in territorial / breeding mode. But Palmer aquatics had a video where he says just keeping a few Females is a peaceful option. Would you say this is true ? Also, I love your Chinese Algae eater. I used to keep them but stopped due to their bad internet reputation. Do they really harass other fish ? Thanks, David
Thanks for your feedback and questions, David! They can be small fish and guppy killers for sure as pretty much anything that they can get into their mouth they will eat. I have found both males and females are really easy to keep with larger fish like angels and the large Tetras and they really don’t bother them unless they are breeding and then they will definitely try to eat the fry.
I don’t think there would be any difference between keeping males and females together or single sex groups as it’s not so much the sex of the fish but also the size of the fry or food that they can get into their mouth. Lol.
I think the Arcara is a beautiful and peaceful community. Fish And and I wouldn’t hesitate in putting them with fish of similar nature and size at all. thanks so much for your support. I really appreciate it.🙏❤️👍🏻🐶
Hows it goin eh
Going well here thanks so much. I really appreciate your support. Hope it’s all good for you too.🙏👍🏻❤️🐶
Too much messing about for them stress on fish not good
I tend to agree and that’s why that water system change over is less stress on them each week then it is getting a hose in there and then filling up after all the messing around thanks for your support and feedback. I really appreciate it.❤️🐶🙏👍🏻
