Aquarium No Drill Outflow System from This Old House

  • Hello all! Today I want to share with you a system I created from the inspiration from ‪@MDFishTanks‬. He was using a pump to pull water out of his tanks like a vacuum so I thought wouldnt that be great to have it on all my tanks and not have to pull the pump out and move around all the time. Well I built it last year before I moved so Nathan aka Aquatic Peace would have a easier transition to deal with all the aquariums he bought when he purchased our house. Hope you all enjoy! If you love clean Homebred top quality aquatics and rarities check out the site below. Thanks for watching! :D

    Great vid. BTW 16ft max head means head height to indicate the maximum vertical height (measuring how high the water can be pumped), and not how far across.

    And can you please do a All aquarium update. like atleast 1 hour long. A video like that for me is like what "Star Wars" fans get when they gpo to the theater. I would prepare snacks and the longer the better 😄Do like I do know, just film first take, no edit no rendering. That is how I can manage to have the time to upload now. Really good cellphone camera. Samsung Galaxy S 21+. It saves me like 400% of the time.

    Just in case anyone else was tripping out on the fittings vs hose size…The 1/2” compression fittings had me scratching my head with the 1” ID hose but I went to Home Depot yesterday and saw that they sell the DIG fittings and they are 1/2” compression fittings for 1/2” OD hose BUT the OD of the fittings is 1” and fits perfectly inside 1” ID hose.

    Is there a video showing how you empty and fill your tanks at your new house not the lines but the pumps them selves I seen all your videos on making the lines but nothing on how you are putting water in and out

    • @LRBaquatics
      @LRBaquatics  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The new system in the barn is close to being done and sure I will be showing it plenty in the future. I didnt get chance to shoot an exchange from the old house because I was finishing it just as I was selling it.

      Yes. Because it wasnt my house when I finished the project it was a last minute thing I crunched in during the move and didnt get the shot, it was a hectic time lol. But wanted to share either way. I will be showing it soon in the future on a new system Im building right now as I mentioned at the end of the video.

    • @LRBaquatics
      @LRBaquatics  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      With a garden pump it pulls the water out of the tank. Just don’t buy the ones from Vevor.

    Do you use the pump to pump the water out of the tanks into the 30 gallon bucket, then pump it out of the bucket???

      No to risky and messy for me I just siphon out. Could get a hand pump siphon too
