Thanks! Didn't have a worn out spring, but had pulled the door out and thought I broke a hinge and it looked like a big deal. But it wasn't, I was able to remove door and reseat by watching this video and all is well

Can anyone tell me how to do it? My oven is taken apart and the spring hinge is locked and not moving. I don’t know how to open this one! So frustrating, there doesn’t appear to be any information/demonstration on this online!

@@timmclaughlin1787 I ended up putting the stuck hinge back in its spot on the oven frame and using a a 6” piece of plumbing pipe as leverage to open it. If you have a vice to hold it in, that works too. If I remember right, I still couldn’t get it to remain open though. I just stuck the locked hinge on the oven frame and attached the oven door as the weight of it opened the hinge. Never taking my oven door apart to clean it again!

I had an issue where the hinge locked while I was taking it off. I was able to open it by placing it inside the oven door and the pointy part inside the oven, this gives you a lever to open it. Hope it helps to anyone with the similar issue.

The spring loaded hinge I just received is locked. I cannot move the clip it is not moving. the other side moves easily. I am lost here. ????

This didn't help with how to align the hinge when putting the door back together. There's an aluminum strip in the door that keeps it from going back in place after installing the new hinge. Guess I'll have to look elsewhere.
